  1. The Jackets will have to play much better on offense to win Friday. I don't see a blowout either way
  2. On another note this has to be the longest thread for a Springfield game this year! There's 7-8 Springfield posters and we have had nobody to talk to most of the year.
  3. You act like Springfield was lucky to win. Sure MC played them tough, but I'm not sure the the Jackets ever trailed, and definitely not in the second half.
  4. Tough non-region schedule pays off in this one. Jackets played 5A/6A non-region games, while SS played 1A/2A/3A. SS may be good on defense, but The Jackets have seen better in Clarksville, and Beech. But...anything can happen.
  5. Come early enough to eat. Springfield has some great non-chain restaurants. The Depot, Public house are upscale. Torino's for good Italian, and the Catfish House for well...catfish.
  6. True. CW was a scrappy team. They held the Jackets several times when they were driving deep in CW territory. Hopefully they pull one off in round 1.
  7. Suprising there is not more chatter considering a region championship is on the line. CW must not have any fans on the T. So those who have watched film or seen them play. What can we expect to see from Creekwood Friday night?
  8. 38-16 last I heard. Not there though
  9. Yes MC was a physical team, but I think the misdirection hurt the Jackets as much as the sheer physicality.
  10. Great game! Kudos to MC! This has to be the best team they have ever had right? Everytime I thought the Jackets were gonna pull away, MC answered. Hayes was injured on the last play of the game, hope he's okay.
  11. Good game going on. 23-14. The MC running attack giving the Jackets some issues. Turnovers the difference.
  12. Yeah it's gonna take a monumental effort to beat Springfield in region play this year. They just have such a balanced offensive attack. The defense is still a work in progress. Looking forward to seeing the rest of district teams play. Portland, CW, MC all seem improved.
  13. Probably gonna catch crap for this, but I actually don't think WH is a bad team. They just weren't ready for the buzzsaw that hit them in the first quarter. I think they will be fine and probably still finish 2-3 in the region.
  14. 33-10 BDP showing some fight. Terrible cheap shot on fat cat though
  15. That's funny cause Springfield has won 3 of the last five games. But whatever.
  16. Thinking this guy is a troll. If you really are a WH player and have nothing better to do than post on here with that kind of arrogance then I like the Jackets chances a lot better.
  17. Fellas, fellas...who gives two craps about last year. On to this year. Tough to tell about WH this year because the teams they have played are not great. I think Springfield is pretty good on offense, and can strike quickly. Defense is still a work on progress, but did improve against Station Camp. I definitely think the Jackets are more battle tested, and have revenge in mind. Should be a good game, can't wait til Friday.
  18. So who are are the playmakers for WH? Last year the had a really good reciever, the Drake kid, that hurt the Jackets several times. Is he back? As for the Jackets, I think the tough schedule plays off this week, and the Jackets jump out early. My pick 34- 17 Jackets.
  19. They're taking a dig at coach Wilson, who came from Coopertown Middle School. Basically saying "this ain't middle school ball." Some people have a short memory. Can't win them all. Springfield lost to a better team last might, but will be better come playoff time because of it.
  20. Good game. Clarksville has a good football team. We had no answer for the balls to those stud WRs. And the QB was a baller. Still think the Jackets are gonna be tough to stop in region play.
  21. I was very impressed with Hayes at QB. He has really improved his passing. All but 2 or 3 throws were on the money. Plus he is gonna be dangerous running the ball...he was a step or two from breaking a long run a couple times. Don't think any of the region teams will have the speed on the outside that Gallatin had last night. I was pleasantly surprised at the Jackets ability to run up the middle. They were hugely outsized on the line, and missing the starting fullback, but were still able to make some hay up the middle.
  22. So I never heard how CPA scrimmage went. Did they Jackets hold their own?
