  1. I hope we all agree that there is lighthearted teasing where you make fun of yourself as much as or if not more than someone else.....then there is the Angry Post. Relax Moose- I didn't mean to push your button. It's all in good fun but if we can't keep the emotions in check then maybe we should stop sharing ideas. We all know MBA and Father Ryan are class institutions and the both have skeletons in the closet. No need. We are all winners in the game of life!!!!(I just want Ryan to win a little bit more.......shhhhhhh , don't tell Moose)
  2. Will there be a secure lot to park all of the expensive automobiles? We don't need kids throwing nerf footballs or anyone leaning a plastic cup on a car or Limo that isn't theirs. I've driven my Firebird over to MBA and never once had a problem besides the noise citation(Allman Bros.- 'Whipping Post'). I think it was a Senator that asked me to turn down the stereo so I said 'Yes Sir' and took off my John Deer Ball Cap. I am very proud of my manners in that situation and told my probation officer that very thing. I just want to make sure those same friendly people get the respect they need. Will there be anyone to wipe down seats for the MBA faithful? Those bleachers down in the corner are ......sticky? Materials needed: Wet wipes Disinfectant Formula 409 Seat cover possibly Few extra sheets of plywood - watch your step Can we get the Hot Tub ready for the Big Red? I say let's do this right!!!! I could keep going.....I better get back to work!! Go Irish!
  3. I would love to paint that picture......I just don't have enough browns and rust type colors. I will run to Walmart (That's where all artists get their paint I'm sure) and get back to you soon. Go Irish!
  4. He had his chances. Another tough night for 88.
  5. There are only a handful of rivalries in the state that can match RYAN vs MBA when both teams are on top. The atmosphere at Greer stadium will be as good as high school football gets in the midstate on friday night. I am sorry to tell the MBA fans that there aren't enough luxury boxes so you may have to get a little dirty.
  6. Is it true the the Father ryan 12th man club has rented a pavillion at Warner Park and are planning to walk to the game through the woods?
  7. ensworth can stilll win without tavjeff. but it will be difficult. that big tight end that should have caught the ball against mba may have a chance to redeem himself fri. nite. still picking frhs21-14
  8. MBADude. So give us your prediction. RYAN too strong or EHS too fast. who do you think wins?
  9. When does weather start to become a factor ? Global warming is tampering with football traditions. Will we wear at least a sweater to a playoff game? Concerned!!!
  10. Unfortunately- BA has a statement to make now too. Good luck BGA
  11. If my son or daughter wanted to get the best football learning and playing experience at a camp during the summer. Where should we go? I have heard really good things about Ensworth. Anymore?
  12. Bulldog- The venue will be interesting. The advantage goes to Ensworth. Their kids have adapted to their surroundings. The glow of lights from the neighboring Bellevue baseball fields and Harpeth Valley Driving Range makes the opposing team feel as if they're in Alaska during the middle of the night. The Irish may get disheveled and their bodies may shut down. There will be a lot of involuntary yawning during the game. Hard to communicate when you're gathering Oxygen for a good nights sleep. The second point is that the Mighty Harpeth is at Rio Grande water levels. The dust and soote can coat the lungs if you're not used to it but the Irish and their faithfull should be well hydrated by game time. The west side Catholics from St. Matthews (congrats to their cross-country team) and St. Henry's welcome the entire Parochial League to visit our side of town and cheer on the Irish. Ensworth school is worth the trip just to tour the campus.
  13. Point well taken ....but I did watch EHS -vs- MBA and I truthfully expected them(EHS) to get run over or wore down and neither happened. Their line was undersized but played hard the entire game. Will Ryan's line be able to do what MBA couldn't? I think EHS will try to force Guidry to beat them. I don't think he will beat them thru the air but run/pass option will be there and if he can pick up first downs with his legs it allows the O-line to keep pounding away at EHS and and keeps TJ off the field. Should be another great DII matchup. FRHS crowds are much closer to midstate football crowds noise level wise and try to make a difference in the game. It will be a much better football atmosphere than the spaghetti social. Coat and tie required at that game.
  14. Is this game being played at the haunted baseball ghost town or on the flood plains of the mighty Harpeth River? I think the venue is the key to their respective successes. Will the silver spoons be able to withstand the smell of urine at Greeer Cemetary? Or will the Irish go over to the Indian Burial grounds and become mesmerized by the smell of money? I will say this.....A rivalry is underway but I'm still lost on who the natural enemy is? Father Ryan has emerged from a decade slump....so let's decide. Old MBA -vs- FRHS rivaly was classic because there were no other enemies BA -vs- MBA is the current clash of Titans MBA - vs- Ensworth ...civil war. It's decided...no one like MBA
  15. very good game tonight. but if these two teams are the class of DII then I have misjudged the quality. MBA wins ugly.......but it's a 'W'
  16. Everything's in place for a great finish but if you have played or coached at any level you know that thee key from here to the playoffs is health. It's not who scored the most points against Webb. Only matchups and avoiding injury. Hopefully the Irish are coming back to full strength at the exact moment. Go Irish
  17. I believe it's from the spot the official tosses the bean bag to signify that ball is live. Good question
  18. disappointed in the game atmosphere. It had all the makings of something to remember but the crowd was a dud. Both stands were packed but there were a lot of people sitting on their hands. Spaghetti was much better than the main course! Two pretty good teams though.
  19. Way to go Irish! Very proud of Coach Lussier and the boys. A very timely break to heal some wounds. Just got back from MBA / Ensworth. It was a snoozer....I felt like i was at a Vanderbilt game. Lots of people but no noise. They should at least hire someone to cheer for them while they are socializing .....the players deserve it. Lot of people but if that many had showed up at any midstate venue there would have been a real party. Ensworth has the skill people to make plays...and MBA has a truck in the backfield. I did not walk away feeling bad about our chances at all. We'll give them a game and show them how real football fans support their team. Go Irish!!
