Maclax is probably just a disgruntled BHS player who is embarrassed because MBA worked them. Going 6-0 in the first six games and beating teams such as Westminster from Georgia is a huge feat. Just because they lost to the Washington state champs who only lost one game last year does not mean they are terrible. MBA is one of the top teams in the state. Get it straight.

Because the teams up in Washington are very good and produce DI talent year after year. They will be the only teams that are as good, probably better, than MUS and Mcallie that MBA will face all year.

Could have been worse, MBA played awful in the first half.

Heard that Jeff Nutkis #26 one of the corner's for MBA is a beast.

I have never really heard much from anyone about MBA recruiting. That usually seems to pop up over in the Ensworth part of the message boards.

MBA has tried to schedule Maryville for the last 3 years and each time they have declined. A little too worried on your winning streak than actually being the best?

What are your predictions for how this game will play out?

I plan on going to the game on Saturday but I am not a student from Franklin or Hillsboro. Will they be selling tickets at Vanderbilt and if so do we know any prices?

Ensworth does have a load of talented skill players that will help keep them competitive over the next couple of years. There achilles (spelling?) heel, however, will be there offensive line. They lack size for the most part up front with the exception of one or two new arrivals. Depth also is a concern. If one or two big men up front go down they will really be hurting. It is hard for a team to run as much as Ensworth does if they do not have any help up front in the trenches. Although their backs will make up for this keeping them in the hunt for a state title.

Can someone tell me about Franklin's football team? I was at the MBA Hillsboro game last year and saw that Hillsboro had some great athletes. I know Franklin is a huge public school but I have not heard yet about all their positions (i.e. qb, rb, o line, linebackers....)

For the most part MBA seemed to handle Independence pretty well until near the end of the game. Luke Colbert, junior the number 2 quarterback for MBA right now, had one rushing TD and another through the air on a long bomb to Jr. wide receiver Holden Mobley. Dent Shillinglaw had the other score with about a 5 yard rush into the end zone.

Why is there more talk about D2 than DI? No offense to any D2 teams you deserve your credit too but today in the paper the D2 championship game got about 4 paragraphs written about it when the DI game only got about 3 sentences. /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh:" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
