We're gonna be a little short handed for about 6 weeks. Our starting guard, a senior, went down with a broken collar bone a week ago. So, hopefully she'll be able to play some before the playoffs begin, and get into playing shape before the tourney's start. We've got a good team....mostly juniors.

Is there any way that I can watch the game online without paying $10? Anyone know? The only online place I can find wants me to pay 10 bucks to watch the game, and I cant get local, TN, TV stations on my satellite.

McLilly is the real deal. He's good. He hits the hole fast and hard....has good size...not big, but good size. The 2 beasts, who run the ball are #42 Watson and #41 Jamieson, I believe his name is. They run hard, and they're big. When you combine the speed of McLilly and the size and hard running of Watson and Jamieson....then, Humboldt has a very good running game. But, UC seems to be on a roll. I haven't seen them play this year, but with the purple field, I have to take UC in a close game.

I was at the game tonight. I was impressed with Humboldt. I really thought Dresden would win this game. McLilly, #42 Watson, and #41 were hosses for the Vikings offense, tonight. And, I have to give the Humboldt Coach credit for riding his hosses in the 2nd half. He started handing off the ball to those 3, often, and the Dresden defense just could not stop them. Great game. I'm glad I was there.

Close game. But, I have to take UC.

BTW, both High School teams that I like to see win are not doing good this year....too many injuries and too many suspended players are causing them to lose.

My team is the TN Vols. We've got Georgia, tomorrow. What difference does it make? We're talking about Milan being down this year....what difference does it make what high school I pull for? We're talking about Milan.

As I said, I know that injuries to key players hurts a team. Having good players suspended for disciplinary reasons will hurt a teams chances of winning. Sure. No doubt about it. But, I'd bet you that the 5 teams that beat yall also had injuries to starters, and maybe had players not playing due to discipline, or grades, etc. That's all I'm saying. Every team has injuries and players, who can't play, anymore...for one reaon or another. I'm sure the teams, who beat Milan this year could say that they also had players injured, or not playing. Don't you?

I'm not talking about discussing injuries and disciplined players. I'm talking about blaming your 1-5 record on it. Believe me, I understand that injuries, and main players can hurt a team. No doubt about it. But, when you're 1-5....

Go back and read the comments, and you'll see the injuries and suspended players mentioned a lot....in this comment thread, and in earlier posts about Milan's losses. Every team has injuries. Every team has discipline problems that have to be dealt with. Milan is just down this year. That's all there is to it.

When...if ever....could we say that Milan and Gibson Co. have the same record? 1-5. BTW, everyone has injuries...it's part of football. Also, a lot of teams have to deal with discipline issues. So, the injuries and suspended players excuse is kind of lame.

I will say that the McCoin fella from Livingston Academy was a good athlete, who could shoot the 3.....someone would do themselves a favor, and give him a scholarship just to get his 3 pt shooting ability on the team....he could be another Skylar McBee.

Best player I saw....Robert Hubbs....no one even a close second. Jalen Lindsey looks very good. And, the 6'6" freshman from CPA is gonna be a player by the time he gets to be a senior. The 2 players from Southwind are very good. Bradford from Humboldt is very good. The big fella from Howard....dominating center...what schools are after him? Has he committed anywhere?

Congrats to Humboldt on beating UC for the district tourney championship. Also, congrats to South Fulton on beating Lake Co. for 3rd place. We've got 4 strong teams going to the Regional Tourney. I just wish Greenfield could've been with yall....we beat Humboldt and Lake Co. twice during the regular season....but, it didnt happen...so, I'm hoping that all of our District 14A teams do good in the Regionals and beyond, because I really think it'll be 2 14A teams coming out of the Regional.....

Congrats Lake Co. on the win, tonight. Reason for Lake Co. winning the game....Zay Coleman couldnt miss, and we didnt hit a 3 pointer the entire night. We could not hit. I hand it to the Lake Co. defense....they played hard, and shut us down. Zay Coleman is the best player in the district. This is the first time I've been able to see him play this year. He's the real deal. I hope his ankle is okay....he had to limp off the court at the end of the game. I hope he's ready to go for yall in the next game. Congrats to our Jackets...especially our seniors...Zac Grooms, Hunter Crouse, and Tony Robinson. I believe we finished the year 17-9.

Greenfield beat Halls 66-32. We had 3 players in street clothes...injury....

I'm seeing all the home teams winning in this first round....the only one that I'm seeing as being close to a toss up is Bradford going to Lake Co. Lake Co. better bring their A game, or else they could be upset in this one. Greenfield girls are playing better, right now. I think the Clemons girl is still out with a knee injury, so the Lady Jackets are a mystery at how well we'll do in the district tourney...we'll see....

Greenfield beat McKenzie Thursday night, and Crouse got to play. So, he's recovering from his ankle injury. Maybe we'll be 100% now when Lake Co. comes to the Nest.....

I think the MVP of the district is a toss up this year. But, I could see Tony Robinson of Greenfield getting it, or Harrison Hawks of South Fulton getting it.
