  1. If Willhite has really left for greener pasture, who will be the new DC at Lenoir City?
  2. I heard the same thing, but only through the grapevine. That would not be a bad hire.
  3. The Epperly kid was injured and sat out the Loudon game, so I haven't seen him play this year. However, if he is starting in front of the sophomore that played against Loudon, he must be good.
  4. Gladly. Loudon went to Bledsoe County for the first round of the playoffs last year. The players had a little chant they did, nothing derogatory or anything along those lines. The players were doing their chant, and making noise, just getting psyched up for the game. Nothing directed toward any opposing player. The SRO comes out on the field, gets in the face of one of the Loudon coaches, and explained to him that if the chants/noise didn't stop, that he was on the "fast track back to Loudon". I don't know about your coaches but ours would not exit very coordially on some nonsense like that. Bledsoe should never host Alcoa. They have a rather impressive chant. SWAT might be called.
  5. Advice for Sequatchie County: DO NOT CHANT or sound off too loud during warm ups. That way the Bledsoe County SRO won't have to take one of your coaches to jail. Absolutely true.
  6. How about this perspective from a team playing up. Loudon has 2 losses. Both to region opponents (Alcoa & CAK). Loudon has victorys over Campbell County, Lenoir City, & Bradley Central, 5A & 6A schools. They will get some points in the tie breaker from TSSAA, but in the big picture, will be seen in the same light as a Bledsoe County. I agree with the posts that say there should be some kind of multiplier for playing larger schools.
  7. I remember watching a massive Madisonville team in the little league last year. Are there any of those Freshman contributing this year?
  8. As long as Grundy County players don't chant or celebrate, the Bledsoe County SRO won't have to take a Grundy County coach to jail.
  9. You all are right. I doubt Loudon will even bother to show up. CAK will pull up to an empty stadium, be informed Loudon has forfeited, and everyone can head home. Have a safe trip.
  10. Loudon @ McMinn Central. 7:00 or 7:30.
  11. Alcoa, CAK, & Loudon all in top 10. Plus Alcoa has knocked both teams out the last 2 years. Toughest district in the state.
  12. I don't know alot about Seymour. What offense do they run? What playmakers should Redskin fans watch for?
  13. Bad news for the rest of the state!! NOBODY KNOCKS OFF REGION 4 EXCEPT FOR REGION 4.
  14. Private schools should have to play 6A if they do not offer scholarships. With the exception to the rule being Alcoa, all other public schools have to rebuild from time to time. How many of these private schools have to? None, just keep recruiting. I will use CAK as an example. CAK's offense would not work every year at a 3A public school because there would not be a quarterback and enough receivers every year. To me this seems to put public schools at a disadvantage. I am notpicking at CAK, that is just a team I see every year. I would like to hear arguments from both sides and get some different opinions.
  15. My nephew and 2 of his friends, all players for LHS, said that the School Resource Officer from Bledsoe County threatened to throw an assistant coach out of the stadium because the Redskins did their pregame chant. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
  16. Don't know alot about Bledsoe Co. What offense do they run? Who are the playmakers for Loudon fans to watch for?
  17. Robinson, and Tyson from Alcoa. Purdy from Loudon.
  18. First thing is, I would bet a shiny quarter that these folks talking all the smack are not even current Loudon football players. Since LHS & CAK started playing, CAK has not put a bad team on the field. These games have always been great games to watch with the contrasting styles of play. If Loudon thinks they can just show up and win they are wrong, and vice versa with CAK. I guess its a great thing that the players get to decide who wins, and not the bloggers.
  19. I saw Alcoa vs. Loudon on Friday. Looked pretty impressive. Really looking forward to this match up on TV. Should be a great game.
  20. Very true. The year the Hawkins kid was a senior, and the 2007 CAK team were both talented teams that could have at least played for the State Title if Alcoa wasn't in the picture.
  21. After battling the #1 team in the state, all classes, for 4 hard quarters does Loudon finally get some well earned respect? Alcoa is still the best till somebody beats them, but anybody who saw the game has to agree that Loudon has the players to be a top team this year. Any agree, disagree, or comments.
  22. I believe after watching the game that 1. Alcoa is a heckuva ball team with size, and awesome speed, and 2. Loudon is better than alot of folks give them credit for. It was a battle up front for 4 quarters, and the secondary was in position and made break ups when they needed to. This was a great ballgame, and could've been 14-7, or maybe even 21-14. My hat is off to Alcoa, as well as to the Redskins. Both teams deserve respect after last nights battle. Good luck to both teams.
  23. LC looked improved from last year. Loudon's defense is a force to handle. Large and quick up front on both sides. LC could get several wins this year. They could do without the 4 or 5 personal fouls that were issued last night. Overall it was a great atmosphere and a great game.
  24. HUGE win for T.P. I can't find alot of details anywhere. Can someone give a brief recap. What does this say about the Sweetwater program. When was the last time T.P. defeated the Wildcats?
