Very strange. It would typically be a good game I believe.

Webb is as good as anyone in the game all the way around.

They were down more than any Rockwood team I can remember seeing when we played them week 1. They just seemed lost. I was told they were very inexperienced with a lot of freshmen and sophomore starters. Seems they’re much improved from then to now though. Still don’t think they can handle coalfield this week however.

How have they not played over the years?

It’ll take our best effort to date to have a chance. We’re apparently allergic to playing a 4 quarter game. It’ll take exactly that to be in position to win late in this one.

That’s surprising. Given the locations I would’ve thought they had played a lot over the years. I knew it wasn’t an every year matchup but had no idea it was so rare.

Have they really only played a handful of times? And did Rockwood really beat coalfield 105-0 in the ‘30’s?

I get what you’re saying and in the interest of full disclosure he did come back and openly admit he was wrong and “eat crow” as he put it and give #2 credit for playing like a stud after that. I know that’s not really the point you were making but in case you didn’t see the follow up I just wanted to let you know that it happened.

Hard to be around the program this long and not have some connections. Especially when you either played or were a staff member as most of us have been or are. I was on staff nearly a decade of course I still have friends in and around the program. We all have connections, often times different ones at that. That’s why knowing each other a talking helps us all be more informed about something we’re so passionate about. I know I’ve had my fair share of brutal honesty as well.

I’m sure there are numerous “anonymous “ posters that have a lot of information. I also have a fair bit of information and understanding regarding the program as well. I guess the interesting thing about that is you having practice and locker room information being you meet with administrators and travel all over seldom attending games. Seems admin would only talk about the good, admin is notorious about not airing dirty laundry, and if you’re always traveling seems TV would be your only opportunity to view also. As for your anonymous friend, no idea if/how well informed he is. This isn’t a dig or even a disagreement with your post, just curious how if you’re never on campus for a game and meeting with the main players at the system level how that sort of information is obtained is all.
