  1. We’ll iron out the details as the week goes in. I’m not 100% yet but I’ll let ya know. Working on maybe rounding up a few to come with me. Stay tuned.
  2. They might, doubt it but possible. If you do go let me know. We’ll meet up at the game or something.
  3. You heading to Jamestown? Me and spike have been pondering about heading over. Hate to pass on a semifinals game 25 miles from my house.
  4. Don’t have who much longer? OZ?
  5. Tough one buddy. Was hoping y’all had something for them, thought it would’ve been closer for sure.
  6. Plug and play huh? Guess I was wrong, I thought Leffew was a stud but seems maybe he’s nothing special (joking of course). As for the 2 and 3 guys in that ole sangle wang that’s the idea, find your best RB’s and call them QB’s and pray you don’t have to win anything in the air. Watched it work very well here in MS for years.
  7. I think I’d rethink that post YAIDAD. As a York fan I’m certain you know the importance of Leffew to your offense considering I’m guessing 80% or more of your offensive production is by him. I’d wager if he wasn’t there and the backup was in this year YAI is a 3 or 4 loss regular season team. Y’all are obviously dominating this one but the QB can absolutely impact a power running team. Not saying it would’ve changed the outcome at all so don’t take it that way but it definitely changes things.
  8. Told you it was a good one heading your way
  9. Just a heads up I just saw this game will be streamed in NFHS network.
  10. Good luck to @pujo and all the Hamptonites tonight! Pulling for y’all big time!!!!
  11. I think in real life Leffew is a little bigger but jones was probably a step faster. It’d be a dandy matchup.
  12. Agree, SP is a different animal most years.
  13. Last post on this one for me but I did want to clarify something. I posted that the refs made an incorrect call on the pass play. I said that based on my incorrect understanding of the rule. I thought the rule was the same as college where any part of the body could be in or behind the neutral zone. The Oneida QB did have a foot in or behind the neutral zone but one was clearly beyond. After checking NFHS rules the short version is both feet must be in or behind the neutral zone so absolutely the correct call was made. I’m only posting to share what I found about the rule for those that may not have known the rule. Here’s a quote of the entire rule: ART. 1 . . . It is a legal forward pass, if during a scrimmage down and before team possession has changed, a player of A throws the ball with both feet of the passer in or behind the neutral zone when the ball is released. Only one forward pass may be thrown during the down. Link to the 2021 rule book I found online. I did not find a more recent version so keep that in mind. https://dt5602vnjxv0c.cloudfront.net/portals/50139/docs/2021 nfhs football rules book.pdf I called the stripes out so I’ll admit I was wrong and give them credit where it’s due. Absolutely a good call.
  14. Oneida is in it and we were 3rd in our region. I know you mean we might be 3rd in region 2 1A but I don’t know to be honest. Read again please. I said top to bottom 1A and 2A region 2 is way down. I certainly never said anything about Oneida at all let alone us being number 1 in any classification or region. I even included 1A and 2A in region 1. The entire quad is down, and just how down will be crystal clear in a very short time. Good grief look at what SP did to OS and they played coalfield decent. York is the clear leader in region 2, when/if they get out of the quad we’ll see how they compare. Maybe they win it all? Don’t try to pick a fight where there isn’t one to be had. Have a great evening
  15. Whitwell a few years back. That was a team of destiny.
  16. Wish y’all still had the cannon, I hated it when we were there but loved seeing new folks get scared to death every time it got capped off
  17. They play physical. Not sure how they’ll respond to playing a more physical team than them. Should be a good one though.
  18. He’s an amazing athlete but if he’s having to beat you with his arm they’re in trouble. It’s not him, I’m sure he could be a good passing QB also but their system just doesn’t really allow it. The same line that looks like road graders on a run is like Swiss cheese on a pass play. They just don’t do it so they’re not good at it. So far they haven’t needed it.
  19. He is not a dual threat. Their passing game is terrible. They do what they do well but focus 80% on 5 and 20% on 7. If you can stop them it’s over for the most part. Stopping those two is the problem. You know what’s coming and they know you know. They just say come and stop it. So far no one really has. I think y’all have a great chance. Your defense is built for this kind of offense.
  20. Well everyone can’t be an expert at everything like you. Maybe you need a whistle
  21. How many do you think they’ll win in their new district? I didn’t say they were hosting sectionals or going to state in either. I think they would’ve likely done as good in 3A as in 2A. I don’t particularly think they’ll excel in either and I feel they would’ve more competitive in 3A than 2A in their district depending which district they landed in. You don’t agree? OK, that’s fine. You’re free to have an opinion just like everyone else. I can assure you those that hold the same opinion as me know far more basketball than either of us ever will though. I’m not a big basketball fan, but I do have close friends and contacts that are absolutely basketball minds. They told me their thoughts on both scenarios, I’m just listening to those that know more than either of us.
