I can assure you I am a true fan. And I will continue to be. I have seen down years before. However I can't stand not trying. The kids are giving all they have. Why do we not hold our staff to that standard? And to answer your question, no the coaches did not make the turn last year, or they would be trying in some way to right the ship. IF the break is 400 (Middleton High School) who will be the top three teams in each division of the state? Here is the way I see things in the west......... 2A Mckenzie, Peabody, and TCA (or Humboldt) should be the top three on this end of the state. 1A Union City, Hollow Rock-Bruceton, and Huntingdon (or Lake Co.) Whats it look like in your area?

There are 7 non football schools on this list that I know of. Maybe more. I look for the break to come at 400.

/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" I will agree with you on most of the points in your post. However Trenton didn't "slip up on" Milan last year. Peabody was the better team. They had beat the Dawgs everywhere but the score board the three previous times they played. This year there is no better team than Milan in the region (or even close), but if they hang their hat on that, someone will slip in and upset them.

I know Peabody fans don't want to loose the Milan game. But we will be gaining a lot in the end. It's give and take. We loose some games we all grew up with and love, we gain a chance to play schools we can compete with year in and year out. We have been playing up against the likes of Milan and Martin forever. Now its their turn, I have no doubt they will both do fine. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Peabody went 8-2 in the mid 80's and we didn't get in. In some ways this set up is a lot like the one I played under 20 years ago. It makes every game a must win. No more 2-8 teams in the playoffs, thats not fair at all. It's way past time to stop rewarding bad teams and giving the best teams a cake walk in the first round.
