Congrats and Good Luck to Columbia Central in the Championship game next week!! Our Rebels have no reason what so ever to hang their head, you guys had one heck of a season I am very proud of all of you players and coaches and fans!! You guys had to deal with a lot this season unfortunately, (more than any team or family should have gone through), and for everything thing that was thrown at you, you guys responded in a positive manner. I for one felt like this team matured into, and became outstanding young men!!! You all make me very proud to be a REBEL Fan, and will always be a part of our REBEL NATION!!! ~STANDING OVATION!!!~ MANY THANKS FROM ME!!! Looking forward to Rebel football for many years to come!!!

GC_Quincy you said to enjoy our Legion Field experience earlier in the week..... well, I did!!! (need to build restrooms on visitor side...LOL) First time I have every been to a game there, Thanks Very Much!!! Great turn out for both teams, loads of fans there, awesome tribute to Jake, Very classy!!! Some of the boys are gonna be sore this morning!!! They was some hard hittin, smashmouth football played last night, Gate City has a fine football team, like GC said, South did take full advantage of the Devils mistakes, that made the big difference in the game. Good Luck to you all the rest of the season, be safe!!!

I agree with GC, ought to be one dandy of a match up. Throw off them gloves and come on out swinging!!!

In my opinion, I think it will be a real slobber knocker! Gate City is a good team, no doubt, you dont win big games, state championships, winning seasons after winning seasons without having great coaching, and good feeder programs. South is building to that also, we have great coaching, good feeder programs, good off season weight training, young men that are very dedicated to making this team bigger and better. Just as most winning teams do, striving to get better!!! Ought to be a real good fight on the field!! Ready to watch it and cheer on my Rebels!!! You can bet that there wont be any quit from either side of the ball.

First of all, Congratulations to Greenville on there win tonight!! And, good luck next week and I hope you move on to the week after!! Secondly, As a fan and alumni of South I tip my hat to all of the young men on South's team, and personally want to thank you guys very much for a great season!!! It has been a pleasure to watch you all play football all year long, I have enjoyed it totally, and will do so for the years to come. I myself couldn't be more proud of all of you!!! Congrats to South tonight on the win!!! Congrats to MoEast on a good season, and one heckofa game you all played!!! MoEast absolutely laid the wood to South for 2 1/2 quarters, I don't understand why they went away from the I-formation? As a friend of mine said, "There "I-set" gashed our defense all night" and it is true, they went away from it and started to try to get the corners, and South had the corners sealed?? I myself if you couldn't stop it, I would have kept running it. My opinion if they would've stayed with the "I" they would have won. There was a lot of hard hitting, very physical, MoEast was VERY TOUGH, South DIDN'T QUIT! I have an ulcer now! Thanks! Greenville is next on the list, I see they got #7 back (he missed the regular season game), and #3 is playing very well as usual!! They might not have there starting QB, but they have a very good team also!!! Very capable of mauling anyone!! Big on the inside and very fast on the outside, a lot like MoEast, but this time we go to there house! MoEast, very classy program, someone had to lose and niether team deserved to, good luck and hope all are safe!!

If Betsy holds on to the ball and they play with the intensity that they did when the played South, I personally think they can give greeneville a run for it, Greeneville is big and well coached should be a purty good game...Hold on to it Betsy... If THS can shake off the loss last week, I think they have a better than average chance of beating the Trojans, although Mo' West has shown signs of being really good at times this year, might be a real tight one at the castle, depending on which team shows up... Mo' East big O-line, and not bad on speed niether, there D-line is not as big but they are fast, If North can hit there blocking assignments and make them work tonight they will have a good chance of pulling the upset...If they don't it might be a long night for them...Both teams seem to be running teams, with East passing more than North, Get you pass defense ready North... Everyone is saying blowout, and it may be, but if South overlooks the chiefs they could very well pull an upset, they played the upper's of the five rivers tough all year, and blew out the same ones they did...they racked up a lot of yards against a very good greendevil defense, If South doesn't overlook them and plays to there full potential it might be a hard road tonight for cherokee... predictions.... game #1 Betsy in the upset... game #2 THS, they will shake it off and show what they are capable of... game #3 Mo' East, to big on O and too fast on D... game #4 South, Very instense on D, and the O keeps rolling... South is starting to peak as a team, they get a little better each week, there offense is rolling out scores and gaining big yards, they are getting about 9 or 10 yards a play, (don't know the official #). The Defense is turning in dominating performances! Time for the Rebs to turn the heat up another notch! I don't know a lot about cherokee, but looks as if they have a purty good defense and there offense is rolling out some big numbers also! Welcome to the playoffs, you win you play again!! Gettin those Rebs in shape for the playoffs! If we wanted to pad the books we could have done it all year with several other teams. They was a lot of jawwing on the field, and off before and during the game, thats football! North called us out, and we came with it. Betsy is next and I am sure they will call us out, and like North found out, we will BRING IT!! North's coaches should have shook hands after the game, acts like that will not earn you respect from no team! Will worry about being haunted in two weeks, next the focus moves on to the Cyclones!!

SOUTH 48 NORTH 0 Total offense South 406 yards. North 82 yards. 14-0 at halftime, North looked strong on D in first half, I personally thought South looked a little flat on Offense, but I'm after a good halftime talking to, South came out firing on all cylinders and scored 34. South's Defense had a great performance all night. Hats off to those Rebels!!! Sweet game, ROCK ON REBS!!! Next up, The Cyclones!!!

Senior night for the REBELS!!! Thank you guys for this season so far, it has been a pleasure for my part as a Rebel fan and alumni to watch you all play! I do appreciate it!!! I will be there again friday night for the last regular season home game to salute you all!!! ROCK ON REBEL NATION!!! Will South underestimate North, dont think so...will South be ready to play, oh yeah!!! Congrats North on your season so far, it is not easy going through the season so far with only 1 loss, my hats off to ya...but, prepare well, the Rebels will attack you from any which way you can think of. It is time to prep for the playoffs, I would guess that everything including the kitchen sink will be thrown at you. The Rebel offense is back at full force, welcome back to Bobby T and Cassell, this, along with Davenport, Fletcher, Kitzmiller, Zanoni, Watterson, and whoever else the Coach has over there hidden, will be looking for TD's and a bunch of them. I would expect to see the Rebel run defense to be diggin in and foaming at the mouth this week, they are big and strong and purty quick. Might even see a few on defense that hadn't been there all year, cant never tell...? "that darn coach is so unpredictable" LOL In the words of the CDB..."The South's gonna do it again" SOUTH 49 NORTH 7

No one is trying to run up scores, there is 11 men on offense and 11 on defense, stop them from scoring! If you cant stop a team from scoring well sorry. South is getting better each week, just what they need to do and hopefully we reach full potential at playoff time! ROLL ON REBS!!! Went and watched Central play earlier this year against North, hopefully they have improved. If not it could be a long and frustrating night for them...but with that, anything goes this friday night. I am sure Cassell will play soon, and Bobby soon, South is getting some good players back from injury, and they will continue to improve... I don't think the starters will play long, JV gets some more experience! SOUTH - 49 CENTRAL - 3

WAY TO GO REBS!!!!! Rebels 35 Devils 20 Hard hitting game, two really good teams!! Both made mistakes, South took more advantage of Greeneville's mistakes than Greenville took of South's. Honestly the game could have went either way! Both defense's had a difficult time containing both offense's....... The spread offense continued to give South a fit, Pass defense seemed to be a little better this week. South's offense will pound and pound and pound, we had a consistent pass attack tonight and a descent run game. Denfense wise, we seemed to get better each series, and seemed to improve against a very good Devil offense. Congrat to South, Lets keep on rolling!!! Good Luck Greeneville, and who knows we maybe see you again in the playoffs, lot of games to be played between now and then!!!

I dont know a lot about either of these schools, but I talk to a lot of HV fans, and I have watched them play some, there QB is a good athlete, my personal opinion I would move him to RB or WR, and start the Fleenor kid as QB. Lack luster performance against Betsy, decent against Unicoi, I would give the jr. QB a chance, he looks good in the pocket what little he has played. Very calm, great form, and a good strong arm very accurate arm, I know the guy QB'ing right now has deserved his time to play, and he should, but I think he would benefit the team better as a wide out or a RB...The fleenor kid has only played like 11 or 12 plays at the end of games this year, and has probably threw for more yards, and has two very nice TD passes to his credit, so give him a shot! It's all about IMPROVING!!! later, yall!! Just my opinion only, not intended to offend anyone!

I traveled to the game last night, but right after halftime I had to leave, I recieved a phone call and my little brother was in a car accident just right up from the house! He is going to be ok, but recieved some injuries and totaled his blazer... anyway, congrats to Maryville! good luck to you guys, from what I seen in the game you guys are a class act! I am sure we will be back and look forward to playing you guys again. I am a big fan of playing the best and from what I seen you guys are it! South is also striving for excellence and in my book there is no better way to do it but to play the best teams in the state. Thanks, JD

Hey hog, I am just sitting here and reading what everyone else writes down, some I find intriguing to read and others I pass by. I like a lot of others will be there friday "With the good Lord willing, and the creek don't rise" I am thinking it will be a good match up, I maybe wrong?? maybe right?? Will see friday night starting around 7pm. Maryville as we all know has been a beast in TN!! Hats off to them, gots to be great coaching, players, dedication, work ethic, etc. etc.! South has been dominate over the past 3 years in the MLC, since Coach C, has took over the South program it has turned around, I know about all the coaching staff, and to make this team what it is at South right now and continuing, it takes the same as I mentioned for Maryville. As I stated before in an earlier post, "to be the best, you have to beat the best" As we all know again, Maryville is the best 4A program in the state! South wants it! I am positive the Maryville and their staff is picking apart game films and making necessary adjustments to stop South, I know that South is also picking apart game films and making adjustments to stop Maryville! What adjustments??? I don't know, either way. Will South win??? will see around 9:30 or so Friday night, I can bet you one thing though South's coming to play some football!! There is no doubt in my mind that Maryville is coming to play some football too!! Will be looking for a bite of supper, any suggestion on good restaurants in the area of the school, remember I have never been there before so go easy on me y'all.
