You got to love high school football, and there will be NO better place in the whole world like attending a playoff game come this Friday night, in OWL stadium. This will be a really good game, and it will a very challenging game for the Owls. Sequatchie won't come in and lay down. But in the 3rd quarter the Owls will begin to pull away. All we ask of the Owls is don't forget what happen in Baxter last Friday night. Upperman was a huge underdog but you wouldn't have known it if you were just driving through. The coaches here at S/C do an excellent job in preparing this team and I don't see any drop off in their prepration this Friday night. What an atmosphere here in S/C in the hole, I just hope our crowd really gets into it. I seen for myself what a difference a crowd can make, I was at the Baxter/York game last Friday night. Here is how Smith County Wins! First-Its business as usual, taking care of the ball, no fumbles. Second-protecting the QB, giving Brandon time to throw the ball, with no int's. Thirdly-catch the ball and make the necssary YAC. Keep the one-two punch coming out of the back field, lots of Cody and Bear mixed with a pinch of McCall. On Defense keep coming with the pressure, lots of pressure on CC Qb. LB's making all of their tackles. Maybe Bray going a little crazy and tossing their RB's for a loss in the backfield. Maybe a combination of Bray, Bear, McCall doing a lot of gang tackles. Then I see West and Anderson along with the other DB's maybe having 2-3-4 picks before the night is over. And last of all special teams, on punt returns, CATCH THE BALL! Here is how Cannon County Wins! First call Superman, you will need him for your QB. Then see what The HULK is doing you will need him for your RB. If Flash Gordon can make it you could use him and Tarzan for receivers. Don't forget the Fantasic Four to use in your OL, Spider Man may be able to play DB for you he would bring along Batman and Underdog. Popeye, Brutus and Mighty Mouse would be super LB. And last but not least you will need a punter/kicker/placekicker and none other comes to mind except the one and only Charlie Brown, he shouldn't be trick or treating on Thursday night. This is so sad, being a father of 3 daughters, my heart just goes out to you fathers and mothers that have lost yours. I can't comprehend the hurt you must feel at this time. And I hope and pray that you were able to tell your daughters how much you love them that night before they left home. I know how much my three mean to me, and I am sure you fathers have the same love for yours. May God be with you for the next coming hours, days, months, and years, put your trust in him and he will get you through this. Thank God we live in a God fearing country, and state. There is so many post already here on this site, and that gives us christians comfort to know that so many people can come together at a time like this, its as if this state is one BIG family, all the way from Memphis to Bristol just unbelieveable. I pray that every school will take a moment of silence come this Thursday night, or Friday and include a prayer for these families. And Dads and Mothers remember to hug your children and insert that kiss even if they don't like it. It will be Senior night here in Smith County come Thursday night, and I can promise you that there will be young men and young women hugging and holding their parents a little longer that night. Parents of those children and Scott County, you will be in our prayers and thoughts for many days to come. And the families in the other car as well. God Bless

What a great game tonight! Owls were just awesome, way to keep on hammering. I just can't believe that F/C has only won 2 games, they are a really good team, super athletes fast and big. And what a beautiful school campus, I was a little set back at your crowd though. Why isn't that community support more than what showed up tonight? It was a great trip down there and back. Its sad that with that many seniors and such athletes they aren't playing in the playoffs this year. Lots of luck in the future F/C. #25 you rock! I was looking at your school website yesterday and copied off a team roster, I couldn't help but notice that you have some big ole boys in the OL/DL, are all 3 of the young men that are 300 lbs starters? And is the Sophmore really 6'11? How many of those 23 seniors are starters, and I noticed you have a bumper crop of Sophmores, meaning you guys are only going to get better. But whats up with the 1 freshmen? Any of your team being recruited anywhere? Still we are looking forward to making the trip Friday night. And don't be offended by some of the postings on here, this is the only fun they have all week, shucks you take away their gun and badge and they aren't nothing. They like to flex their little minds from time to time. But really they are nothing. We are good folks, who love football, and eating great food. I for one have never been to FCHS, and was wondering just how big the seating is on the vistors side? I know that S/C will bring a HUGE crowd and was just wanting to know. Could any of you Franklin Co. folks recommend any eat places there, or are you planning a tailgate party that night? Hey Postal, We already have a Munson on the coaching staff, he goes by the name of Steve Bray and he is the real deal. If you don't believe me just ask him. Anything about anything he knows. He will be the one with the HUGE gut and a towel around his neck. And if he remembers to take his hat off at the national athem you will see the comb over. His son plays also, he is # 51, same number old Munson was when he warmed the bench at SCHS. However you put it you still have a horriable seating arrangement! Not to mention your public addresser (for you to understand that would be the dude in the press box continually talking to himself) even still we have to make the trip in the middle of nowhere to take care of some business. For all you eagle fans we Owl fans will be there to support these Football players from SC. We will out number your fans 3 to 1. And they aren't coming to talk about the weather, they are coming to take care of business, football business, they will be hitting you in the mouth and they will keep coming until you are on your heals, and the final blow will put you on your ---. We Owl fans are alive and well, just want all you Westmoreland people to go ahead and vent all your thoughts and get it over with! I'm amazed its taken you all two days to get it done, figured it would only take a few minutes. But really we love to make the trip up there, if there was a decent place to enjoy to stop and eat at it would really boost your economy. But a man can stop anywhere for a coke and moon pie right! It was a couple of years ago when I was there and I remember standing at the fence in the west endzone and one of the eagle players caught a touchdown, no sooner did he score when behind me was a 12 year old child yelled out, "hey dad could you catch another one for me", so how long does one get to go to school there? I believe the Owls WANT button has be activated, and when you want something bad enough you get it. And I believe the eagles will roll, over and play dead. There wasn't any coach bashing intended! You are just not able to seperate what is truth and what is coach bashing. I have all the respect for those who are willing to put their reputation on the line every Friday night. And I believe those coaches here at SCHS do a great job. It begins with the support from the fans and players feed off of that. Then its up to the players to excute the plays in which they have been assigned. The coaches don't make the plays, they design them. BUT ITS UP TO US AS FANS TO SUPPORT, CHEER, YELL, AND LET THOSE YOUNG MEN KNOW WE ARE BEHIND THEM. Let the coaches coach, the players play, and the fans cheer. You see here in S/C it doesn't make any difference if you want to fuss, fight or run a foot race we are in it together. And yes its a Smith County Thing you wouldn't understand. First 3 games was playing actually nobodies, and winning seem to come so easy for them. Then once they come upon teams that are 2nd or 3rd round playoff contenters, and maybe even a 1A state champion calibur team, they fold like a lawn chair. Where has all the SCP gone to? I haven't missed a S/C game in the past 10 years so I can honestly ask, Coaches, Players, and FANS especially US Fans, where is the fire. Intimdation thats all I see the last two games from S/C! You young men getting intimdated, by T/C,they brought it to you and you found a corner and stayed there, then those dirty dragons show up and make fun of you and even tossing the ball to one of our players after catching a punt. Whats up with letting other teams push you around? And yea #27 you showed a response to one of the players from York but you have to remember its always the 2nd punch that gets the flag. Use your head, THERE will be another play, payback is a monster. I'm not saying snoop to Yorks level of dirty play, but play until the whistle blows. I have never coached a team, so I am stepping out of my element here. I believe that S/C has some the best, caring, and knowledgeable coaches in the business, but for some reason it seems to totally collapes when we get in a big game. All you need is 2 or 3 coaches doing the yelling NOT 10 or 12. In all I believe that WE the fans have been one of the biggest let downs for the Owls. Its very easy to do just what I am doing now and thats point out the coaches and teams problems, but how about our crowd get involved, if you have a voice do some yelling, support the Owls with VOLUME of noise. It seems as if we are attending a funeral at times. This Owl team isn't dead or even out of playoff picture, if we can convince these young men we believe in them, then they will regain the confindence and get back to winning. I said that I have not missed a Owl game in 10 years, thats on the road and at home. I have been a supporter for 20 years, not ONE of those years did I ever have a kid on the football team. But I really enjoy H/S football, and knowing some of those young men in all those years has been great. So S/C get that fire back, come prepared to yell for the Owls. And you young men get that SCP and play like you are taught to play. Its really getting to be extremely anony reading your post anymore. It seems you are getting some kind of sensation of constantly wanting S/C QB put out of the game. What has he ever done to you, steal your girl friend, run over your dog, never return your crayons, what? Maybe if you were old enough even you could do your dirty work yourself. And you are right if he gets hurt playing the game "thats Football". And if you get hurt for running your mouth thats just "life" or "reality". I expect that the T/C folks don't appreciate people like you making remarks like you do, the nails, come on can't you do better than that? A real man would just put on this post what he will be wearing and stand where he could be seen. I mean our QB will be wearing his jersey with #7 on front and back.
