21-0 G'Ville at the half. Both teams are playing pretty good but G'ville's defense is playing very good bend but don't break. G'Ville's offense is moving the ball well down the field with a little bit of help with repetitive off sides on MW's defense. I got to say that I'm impressed with MW's speed when they're allowed to show it! Wish G'ville would have kicked the field goal on 4th down before the half though.

G'Ville vs. Maplewood - should be a great game with 2 great teams. G'Ville wins back to back and brings it back East! Maryville vs. Whitehaven - Whithaven will keep it interesting the first half and then after the coaching adjustments Maryville will do what they always do and dominate in the second half and adds another gold ball to their showcase.

I don't have a dog in the hunt for either one of these teams so this is truly an unbiased opinion on the game. Terriffic game by both teams and alot of class by both involved so congratulations to each team. There was quite a few points left out on the field by both teams due to turnovers and costly penalties especially in the red zone. But I also feel there was points left on the field by the referees... the Powell quarterback definitely scored a touchdown on that run and it was obvious while I watched it live and on the replay and the ref was standing right there with a perfect view of the play. Regardless of that call if you can't score from the 1 yard line (even if you shouldn't have had to due to the call) due to penalties will haunt these seniors and coaching staff for a long time. I'm not trying to be critical of the team but I really felt Powell got robbed in that situation after a great individual effort. Great game to watch and once again congratulations to all the kids involved.

Actually I'm an East TN football fan so basically that means I'm a fan by default. Always did respect G'ville when my son was playing and we played you guys. Good games and a lot of smack talking with Barb and Kev-O made it extra fun, but I don't have a dog in the hunt anymore so I cheer for the East Tn teams this time of year. Go get it G'ville!!!

Maplewood will make this game interesting for the 1st quarter (maybe) and then G'ville will start putting the pedal to the metal and MW will have no answer for what they are up against. I have seen G'ville play several times this year and from what I can tell from the little bit of tape available on MW they stand no chance of winning unless G'ville allows it with mental mistakes and turnovers. G'ville is just in a different league than MW right now and it will show come this chamionship game, MW will not be able to compete at their level for 4 quarters! The 4A gold ball will be sitting right next to the one from last year despite what Boski's under comments say because he's either to cheap or still living a fantasy that MW was supposed to be the 2010 champs and are not and will not be in 2011 either. I know that Bell County KY handed our butts to us the last 2 years we played them and they are a little school but coached very well. As a matter of fact I think their coach is the winningest coach in KY. Thats all I know about KY football!

I hope Greenville didn't leave too much on the field friday night because if that was as tough as a game as it sounds then I hope they can fill their tanks up quick! Although I think Maryville is a team that can be beat on any given Friday night no one has found the way to get it done the last 73 consecutive games (absolutely amazing) and as much as I'm pulling for our 5 rivers conference brethren I think its to much of a hill to climb. Greenville is going down to play a well oiled machine but it can be derailed with the right scheme and every one of them devils playing like they have never played before! With that being said good luck Devils and represent your conference for the last time before realignment. I'm sure there will be some Falcons down there rooting you on as well, I know I'll be there.
