Sequatchie County At. South Pittsburg CANCELLED TONIGHT! Will be Saturday Night At South Pittsburg at 7pm (CST)

I watched the game pretty good. I bet a couple of teams are hoping they don't get voted into 4th place this week as back to back weeks the 4th place team(Tennessee) goes down. But that loss to Florida don't look as bad now! At least it was to a ranked team!

I don't remember saying S.P. would lose to those teams I do think they will have a tough time if they beat Boyd. Now as for as Dunlap goes with the exception of the Grundy Co. game they have been in & have led every game they have played this year they were leading at East Ridge 10-0 the final with some questionable calls should have been 13-10 ER scored with 3 seconds left that is bad sportsmanship making it 19-10 & last week Sequatchie would probably have won if they didn't lose there starting RB with a couple of Minutes to go in the first half he was hammering the Wildcats with runs up the middle and Sequatchie still had a chance to win driving down the field when time ran out the final was 27-20. Although there record don't say it just ask Meigs Co. East Ridge & Polk Co. and they will say Sequatchie is a lot better than there record shows!

Bledsoe County is (2-2) started out 2-0 with blowout wins vs. Dekalb Co. & St. Andrews-Sewanee who both have yet to win a game and now have lost two straight Region games. So I don't think they are all that good. Now as for who there best players are the only one I really know anything about is Senior Joe Sanchez (6'0, 215) he does a little of every thing QB-RB I personaly think he would be on the list as one of the top athletes in the Chattanooga area.

I love having Kelley Washington its about time Tennessee finally had someone controversial! Teams like Florida St., Florida, Miami, Michigan all have had players like this and it got them more publicity & the National Media just loves it. If Tennessee is going to be in the Big Time with National Coverage they need this type of player as long as Kelley doesn't do anything stupid off the field I am fine with him. What has "The Future" said that he hasn't backed up so for even last year??

Warrior2024, I did hear correct tonight that Sequatchie plays Walker Valley next year? If thats true is that the only change on the schedule?

YES! With the exception of Memphis State I do. I would love to see Vandy and MTSU Win every game they play except when they play UT I am pulling for MTSU this week against Kentucky and when they play Vanderbilt. I like Tennessee Tech and have watched them on TV a number of times in the past thats what I did this past Saturday when they played UTC I was cheering for UTC because I know and went to school with there great LB Josh Cain. Thats like when playoff time comes in HS if it has no effect on my local team I hope all the area teams Win I pulled for Red Bank, South Pittsburg, McCallie and all the local teams in the State Title games

Does this mean that South Pittsburg is no longer Marion County's opening game?

It should be a great game I think Sequatchie will get it done at home by 7 or 10 points. The team is really pumped about beating Meigs Co. and giving East Ridge more than they wanted to handle last week. The Indians are usually a very disciplined football team and usually don't have a lot of stupid penalties. The Sequatchie pass defense has been very good the past two weeks forcing 7 Interceptions.

Sequatchie County is in its second year I think with Middle School Softball and the team is (8-4) so far this season! [Edited by Sequatchie on 9-18-02 12:30P]

I don't complain about officating as much as I have seen from others on this & other boards and as for as respect if you look under my name it says that I am not only a Plus Member but a Moderater so others on this board and CoachT especially respects me enough to be askeed to be a Moderater so I could care less what you think of me!

Last Night in the JV GAME. Sequatchie Co. JV 20 East Ridge JV 16 QB-DB Fr. Curt Bureau had (2) Interceptions the first one returned from what looked like 75 yards for a TD with just seconds on the clock at the end of the 1st half. RB-LB Fr. Brandon Lewis I think had a TD run. I am not sure who had the other score.

I agree about the turnovers but the officiating was the worst I have seen when the head official says its the other teams ball on a fumble and the ball is still on the ground something is wrong!

You should learn the facts before you post! I didn't say they dominated against East Ridge like they did against Meigs Co. Second the 43 yards were 2nd half stats not Game Seq. had somewhere around 200 Total Yards! Your on the money lets report a game as it happened by telling how ER scored with 3 seconds left instead of taking a knee! What a Classy bunch!

I think Grundy will win by a couple of TD's!

Sequatchie Co. is a lot better than the (1-2) record indicates they played like crap against Grundy Co. for some reason but dominated against Meigs Co. and with better officiating would have won against East Ridge. The Indians lead until the 4th Quarter and had a chance to win ER scored with 3 sec. left to make the game look one sided! The Indian defense had 4 Interceptions against ER that makes 7 Ints. I think the the past two games. I think the Indians will win this game at home!

If you would have been at the game you would be thinking diffrent the Grundy game Sequatchie played like crap but at Meigs they dominated the line of scrimmage and at East Ridge when they jumped out 10-0 tll about halfway through the 3rd quarter ER started getting a little help. I would not be half as upset over this game if the calls didn't decide the out come of the game but they did and East Ridge scoring with 3 seconds remaining didn't help any!

I am tired of hearing about Blake Foster the Ooltewah Owls are still (2-2) and I would think that they will not be favored this week against William Blount! one of the wins was against Red Bank and as you can see they are terrible this year.
