  1. How did Indy look on offense? You said LC got some heat on Heckman (you are correct on the name), what changed later in the game? Did the o-line just start playing better? And did Indy try to run the ball more than twice?
  2. I don't think anyone is talking because the teams don't know much about each other. What kind of offense/defense does Lincoln County run? Who are their main playmakers? What is their record? Any info would be appreciated.
  3. On paper Franklin wins this game in a landslide. They seem to have the talent, experience, leadership, and coaching to possibly be in the state championship game. However, I am not willing to count Indy out just yet. Offense- Can throw up points. That's all there is to it, with Heckman at QB and the speed they have at WR they will score some points Defense- This has been our biggest struggle thus far this year, but I trust that Coach Bobby with 2 weeks to watch film will have a few tricks for Franklin. Special teams- Potential game-changer Ty Stannard on punt returns is always scary, and the speed on kickoff returns is always a threat. All that being said, I think Indy's best bet is to turn this into an Arena Football like game, high scoring, and hope for a few big plays from the defense, which I think they will get. If they win it will be close, but I think they can do it.
  4. Last year Independence ran a 3-5-3 and had a pretty good defense (until the state championship game). It's all about your personnel. In high school it's all about getting your best players on the field, and if you have more really good linebackers than anything else, then get them on the field.
  5. Any Centennial students on here who have an idea about what kind of crowd y'all are gonna bring? It's going to be tough to rival the noise level that Indy Nation will bring...
  6. I think for Centennial to have a chance they will have to be able to run the ball well. I didn't see the Kenwood game, but Indy struggled a little with BA's running game. They lost alot of starters on defense, and almost all of them were in the front seven (with the exception of Thomas Berry). The secondary is still strong with all returning players having starting experience last year, but the front seven have some pretty big shoes to fill. That being said, I think they will do it. Thomas Berry, #65 (name?), Stephen King, and a few other have already shown themselves to be good players in their own right. I would be surprised if Centennial is able to run the ball consistently against this defense, which will lead to the Indy O having more possessions, something the Cougars would probably like to avoid. I like Indy to take this one, but no score prediction until later in the week...
  7. Hey CHS, how is Centennial's D-line/secondary? If they aren't able to get pressure without blitzing, they are going to have some problems with Indy's passing attack. Any insights on the pass rush and depth of Centennial's D?
  8. Let's line 'em up and see. I think they would all be up for it.
  9. Really? Indy is an awful team? Wanna explain your reasoning behind that statement?
  10. Indy rolls. Heckman is too good, the receivers are too fast, and Josh Bailey is going to bust some big runs. The Indy defense will be nasty as normal, and the crowd will be ridiculous. The students have been talking about this home opener for awhile, and they are going to come out loud and stay that way.
  11. Indy vs. Centennial, Centennial coming off a loss to Page, Indy coming off a win against an overmatched Kenwood team. Predictions?
  12. While it may be a relatively new school, Independence usually brings a large and loud crowd wherever they go, and as we all saw at the state championship game, every game is a party to them.
  13. It's looking like that could come back to hurt them. Maybe they should of tried recruiting someone from the soccer team...Fun game to watch though /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  14. Can someone explain to me why Fulton keeps on going for 2? Is there kicker not very good?
  15. How about coach Eubanks from Independence? State championship game in his first season as a coach, and an incredibly classy individual.
  16. Still relatively new to the area, so I'm not sure exactly where that is...But Spring Hill is just south of Franklin. I think you could take 840 from Murfreesboro. Right to IHS practically.
  17. Not sure how far Mcminnville is, but if you could get to the Spring hill area for the IHS-FHS game, that should be a good one. Both teams are playing out of their mind, with I believe 8 game win streaks, and oh yeah, they are huge rivals. The stadium should be packed with fans from both sides.
  18. While we have you out of retirement, would you like to make some analysis for us, or offer a prediction?
  19. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> That just made my night a little better.
  20. Sorry to get off topic, just trying to absorb some info on QB mechanics. Not trying to take anything away from him, he has played magnificent football. The IHS line play has gotten significantly better throughout the year. I think playing BA and MBA has paid off most with the lineman. If they continue to control the line of scrimmage as they have done recently, then this game won't be close. That being said, I don't think we will see the same level of domination as we have seen the past 3 weeks. I think this game comes down to Heckman (be his hands small or large), and his ability to keep the Rebels honest. If he can lead the Eagles to 24 or more, they win. What's your take Gundy? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  21. I'm just not sure I understand why it's bad to go up with two hands. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> It seems like it would be more secure, and you could sell your pump-fake better. What advantages do you get from going up with one hand?
  22. Question: are ya'll just saying that him breaking his hands late is a sign of him having small hands, or that him breaking his hands late is a mechanics problem? If so, how is it a bad thing, it seems like he would have more ball security that way... Thanks for the breakdown. I love the little stuff like this. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  23. Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure they open the gates around 5, 5:30ish. If you get to Thompson's Station by 5 you should be able to get a relatively good seat.
