Really I was there to and the only people that was a disgrace was the betsy fans sitting in the middle of the CAK fans. There was a group of older men that made several derogatory remarks. He has won 4 straight CHAMPIONSHIP IN A ROW HERE AT ALCOA! He is a good man and a great coach. He will go down as one of the best coaches in state history (if not the best). I'm sure Gary will not be sad when he lines up with MBA but he will be ready to do battle as always. I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT! I for one have never heard of a teacher say I had to settle to teach at ALCOA. Considering its one of the highest paying public schools in ALL of the state. To me that's arrogant on your part. I have never had anything against the privates. Like I have stated earlier. I have a friend who's kids go to MBA. I will not fall to your level on that one. You DII posters have such a chip on their shoulders. There could be a day when Gary might go to a private school but for now he's our coach. I for one appreciate his stint here. He's brought a lot to this GREAT SCHOOL!

Yeah but if you look at their schedule it not very impressive. A loss to Loudon (good 3a team) & a loss to a decent Cleveland team. Then you barely beat a bad Walker Valley team. Oak Ridge had a lot tougher schedule and that's why I like them in this game. Just my opinion.. Guess we will see on Friday.

Having these 4 games over a two year period is an excellent ideal. Don't you think that will be a huge gate for both our Schools? These games will fund our whole athletic budget for the year. SIMPLE ECONOMICS! I would expect the crowds at these games to be well over 12000. At 6 dollars a ticket PLUS concessions this will be a huge profit. Plus the sponsors are paying for the $3500. If you can't understand that then you need to go back to school.

OK KublahKD you have been on here for a while. Why would you think?? Alcoa's budget makes it so that we can't really afford to play long away games. This bowl game will bring in extra money for both Alcoa and Maryville. We don't have the money privates have. The only reason we played in Kentucky the last two years is we couldn't find know body to play us in Tn. Bell County was only 2 hours away ( short trip ). I personally would love to see a home and home series but it is what it is. I can't speak for Maryville but that Alcoa's situation.

Of course you don't need it but that was the bonus. Free trip to play the little old Blount County teams. I'm just glad MBA took on the challenge. No matter what happens MBA has already earned my respect. Also, I have a good friend who's kids go to MBA and he's loving it. He gets to come back home and watch his old high school play his kids school. As for ENSWORTH not wanting to play GO FIGURE. I don't never EVER, EVER, EVER want to hear a DII poster say anything about the Tornadoes schedule. Especially if you get ask to play and you decline. Don't blame us!!!!

Which team do you support in Knoxville?? Apparently they don't play Maryville. Maryville's middle school and freshman teams haven't got beat in like three years. Well they did split with Alcoa 3 years ago but besides that their games haven't even been close. I can tell you as an Alcoa fan their days of dominance is FAR from over. I have watched a lot of football and can tell you they will be loaded the next 4 or 5 years. Just remember I said that in about 3 years. Which district in Memphis is tougher than 4AAA???

WOW! Govolsknox your really starting to stir the pot on coacht. I have a feeling ALOT of teams would get beat by that 3A school. I also have a feeling that Alcoa will beat CAK more the second time around. Come the first week of December the Rebels will probably still be playing and your warriors will be at home watching. The latter is a guarantee!!! By the way has Cak EVER beaten ALCOA. I believe its like 0-11 against the Tornadoes... So talk to me when they can beat Alcoa...

seantn_4 do you not realize that last years Maryville team might have been their weakest team in the last 10 years. Of course this year is different for both teams. Hopefully you will get your wish and a Maryville- Smyrna match-up will happen. I find it hilarious that you make these excuses about Riverdale. I thought they were in the toughest district in the state. Just to let you know I'm not a Maryville fan (except in the playoffs).

Didn't Maryville drub Riverdale by like 30 last year? Maryville is better this year but hopefully they prove that in the playoffs.

MOST Alcoa fans are respectful of our opponents. There is some bantering among posters but most of its in good fun. We are a very proud community and love to support our team. Who wouldn't be proud to be a Tornadoes these days? 6 STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS, 39 OR IS IT 40 consecutive straight game, 12 total state championships. So I'm sure the team you pull for doesn't hold up to these standard. Thats why you come on here and attack our team/fans.... On to the game this Friday night. Loudon should not be overlooked as catfish has stated. They are very physical and have an excellent quarterback. If Alcoa comes out with their A game then we should be fine. If not then this game should be competitive for a couple of quarters at least. We will have to wait and see... GO TORNADOES.....

This game could be much closer than some think. If the Fulton team that doesn't quit shows up then watch out. If the other teams shows up then they will get beat by 30. I believe the first Fulton teams shows up and this game is much closer than most would think. Just my 2 cents.....
