  1. Morristown West's Sidney Goins underwent ACL repair the Tuesday after the state finals. She tore her ACL and had a partial MCL tear while at the tournament in Arizona. She sat out a month then played all post season tournaments with a complete ACL tear. What a great kid! Best of luck in Illinois and we will surely miss you Sid.
  2. Go Greeneville! The IMAC wishes you the best!
  3. And best of luck to both South Greene and Greeneville! We from East Tenn have to stick together! We will be pulling for you as well. It has been great competition from you over the years. LET'S GO!!!!!!!
  4. Jeff County goes down, MoWest moves on despite a very hard fought battle against a big Maryville team. It was very physical with a lot of hard fouls. Taylor goes down in the 3rd with an ankle but West maintains. Good game by Kelley and Allison! Megan and Shelby are a deadly duo and Sidney is giving all she's got. Way to go West! We waited a long time for this!!!!
  5. If Sidney Goins was full speed MoWest would be really, really hard to beat.
  6. West looked like West tonight with a strong showing against Jeff Co. It would be very difficult to choose an all conference team, having to choose a limited amount of players from the top 6 girls from the West team, but how in the world could Megan Fanney not make all conference???? I would take her hands down over any point guard in the IMAC.
  7. Wow. Are you sure that the winner of the consolation game will be in West's bracket? I really think East gave it all they had and won't fare as well if they do meet West again.
  8. Hats off to MoEast who came out very well prepared and ready to play. It was obvious the coach had studied and adapted to the style of play of MoWest and had her girls motivated for an upset. I think we have all come to expect perfection from the MoWest team , I know I have, and this is wrong. It is much easier to play when you have nothing to lose and everything to gain but when you have the pressure of being #1 every opponent you come across will give it that extra push in hopes of being the one to knock you off. East had an awesome game and is extremely well coached but West pulled it out despite some difficulties and that composure in the final 3 minutes is why they are #1. Coach C has really brought them a long way since the beginning of the year. It was really great to see her enthusiasm and confidence in her team, always positive and ecouraging to her players. Sometimes a positive word to your players will take you a very long way...
  9. Where have you been? Goins has been out since Christmas with a knee injury!!!!!
  10. My post had nothing to do with rankings and voting and all that other stuff. I don't care what the ranking is, I care about you dishing off on a team that does not meet your criteria for , uh, i am not sure what. Again, what did you mean by the BORO? AAU tournament? Maybe I am slow but where did all the Pat talk (uuuuummmmmmmmmmmm ) and drop off into the ocean come from? Seems Mo West and AA power GC are not your favorite teams as you seem to respond to both in a very negative way.
  11. This post made absolutely no sense to me at all!!! Even if you would like them to slide off into the ocean or otherwise disappear they are going to Arizona, not California. Maybe you should make out everybody's schedule next year so we all play at the level of competition you think we should. Have you even seen Morristown West play? Are you randomly picking teams that look good on paper for them to play? The IMAC is no slouch of a schedule, they are playing Cleveland both home and away and the Arizona trip will for sure be a challenge. South Greene and Elizabethton are top class AA schools. And the BORO over the summer , is that AAU you are talking about? What does that have to do with anything? If the IMAC was in the middle of the state whould you be more favorable?
  12. The starters have been mixing with the rest of the bench with many combinations played at different times. WEST has jumped out to such a lead almost every game the starters would NEVER get any playing time if you played to "be nice" to the other team. He has to have this team prepared to make a run at the state tournament and that is not going to happen with the starting five on the bench. I don't think he is thinking of running up the score, he is looking at different rotations, combinations and having this team play against themselves all in order to prepare for the future. Injuries happen and they can happen in practice as well as in a game. We are very proud of our IMAC teams and enjoy the competition. WEST needs to take care of business and do whatever it takes to be ready for tournament time.
  13. morristown west beat hillsboro by 29 in the play date several weeks ago. they were up by 24 when the crouch girl went down.( she really is an awesome player.) west beat oak ridge the next week by about 25.
  14. where do you see West with 2 losses?
  15. MoWest is as focused now as I have seen them, playing smart and strong. They have 5 on the floor who are ALL a major scoring threat. They have come together and it is obvious they are totally focused on one game at a time. Hate it for the rest of the IMAC. Never thought that would happen. GO LADY TROJANS!!!!
  16. Seems pretty evident that you may hold a litlle grudge against a former player of yours. I believe you try and present well but in reality you cannot give her the credit she so well deserves. Check out the stats Rob. A draw???? Give me a break.
  17. well said /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  18. Memphis Elite has Avant, Taylor Hall, Haislip, 2 girls from Millington, and a host of other talent. I don't believe they practiced at all being they are from all over the state. They did a super job as did the other teams that represented Tenn. Where is the Hall article from Bluestar? Have the website?
