MLK is a Magnet school in Nashville, They have a great head coach "Coach Bass" nicest guy you will ever meet. I haven't seen them this year however I think the Nation should be a little too much to handle for the Royals. I was glad to see MLK made it to state, however I've seen Greenback Multiple times and I can't see this match up being too close.

That is pretty messed up, only a coward would make fun of a team when it is struggling. I was also under the impression that Hillwood would have a team next year, that they didn't drop the program for good.

Hillwood no longer has a wrestling program? or they don't have anyone in the school who wants to wrestle?

there will come a day when hillwood beats hillsboro again, being on the last team that did it i know it will happen again it might take a while but for now those hillwood players have a lot of fight in them to go out and play day after day it's not easy and I'd wish you folks would get off their backs. Great history coach, I feel like I know you so much better. It still doesn't change the way I feel, just b/c (that means because) you wrestled for some spirited coaches doesn't give you a free pass to do whatever you want when you think a ref blows a call. Hope my grammer wasn't too bad fill free to correct any errors you find.

There is a way to react to a bad call and a way not to, Emily doesn't accomplish anything by making a show out of it, the ref will never reverse a call when you call that much attention to him. If it was the wrong call and the ref was thinking about waving it off Emily sealed his wrestlers fate by blowing up the way he did. and to replay to your post 2blLeg refs will never be 100% completely unbias, they are human just like the rest of us. If you don't believe me sent your money into the TSSAA next year and put on them strips and see how it goes. Refs make bad calls at time, if you don't want a close call to decide a match go out there and take it out of the hands of the officials. But if you don't then dont complain when you leave it up to another to decide the outcome.

Sliger is the man, wish the refs would of waited till after his match to vote for a OW but I can understand their rush to want to leave, they only ref a billion matches in three days. Back to Sliger, he is an incredible wrestler, a great guy, and i'm looking forward to watching him wrestle at UTC.

Get yourself a rule book there fella the locked hands signal can also be used to signal a technical violation for pulling someone's singlet, now i dont have a video of the match to watch but if the ref saw it then he has to call it. I bet your camera doesn't cover every angle and it sure doesnt show what the ref was looking at. bottom line is even if it was a bad call it doesn't give Emily the right to act the way he did and this isnt his first time to do so. What kind of message is he sending his wrestlers. That's what really matters. The refs should of thrown him out.

His wrestler didnt get jobbed of anything that was the second time he pulled the FRA kids singlet, the first time he did it the ref warned him. Emily should of gotten a misconduct penalty for going out onto the mat, and he was tring to get got Mike Parker, not Ronnie Carter. I hope Emily got hit for something b/c that was a pathetic display he put on. Rules are rules the ref doesnt get to decide which one he enforces and which ones he doesnt.

That's a lot of reading so i'll sum it up in a shorter version: Neutral- both wrestlers working to get a take down in the center of the mat. Top- Working for a pin, not riding the hips that's a big one, the top wrestler has to come off the hips so the bottom man can come up. There is no such thing as riding time in high school. Bottom- Working for an excape, if he get's broken down he had to make an attempt to table up, and then work to stand up from there or switch.

Region 6 is having there duals on saturday.

Soddy will wrestle the runner up in region 3 so yes cleveland is a possibility. Match will take place at Soddy on saturday.

Ooltewah won region 4 tonight at Red Bank with a win over Soddy 35-23 was the final i believe.

Hillwood will be down for a long time in every sport, there arn't that many athletes over there at all not to mention wresters. The feeder schools that go into hillwood are not any good add that to the problems in the administration among other things and you get terrible results. The 152 from there last year might just be the last region champ from hillwood in a very long time.

Ooltewah takes titles @ 103, 130, 152, 160, 171 and 285.

JV is set to start at 5.

PJP II was at the Lookout valley invite, they only ended up wrestling 8 guys and were in the mix for the title at the end. Not sure how it ended up, but their 189 (Hooker) was pinned by boyd buchanan in the finals.
