  1. I am just glad that Chris Parker wasnt hired back when JW got the job. Can you imagine the success the program would be having if Coach Parker was running the show. That would be so unfair to the kids at WC. To be able to compete at the highest level after all the work Parker puts in year after year. We as Warren Countians would not want that for our young men. A Cascade dynasty that was started under his direction and now doing the exact same thing 1 year in at Blackman. For those that opposed him I say thankyou for your insight and knowledge. To the ones who told him no in Warren County Cascade players and fan say thankyou along with Blackman. NOW GET IN THE COUNTY VEHICLE FIND OUT WHERE CHRIS PARKER LIVES AND GO BEG FOR FORGIVENESS. HE IS THE MAN THAT SHOULD LEAD THE WARREN COUNTY PROGRAM UNTIL HE WANTS TO RETIRE. TELL THAT HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR THAT TAKES ALL APPLICATIONS AND RESUMES TO GET OUT OF THE OFFICE SCHOOL IS OUT AND HAND DELIVER ONE TO HIM. MAKE PARKER TELL YOU NO!!!!!!!!!!! I would not blame him if he does. We need him much more than he needs us. What a difference 5 years makes.
  2. Dont know all of applicants, but position is filled. Malcolm Montgomery new coach
  3. Pioneer Parent I am hearing girl from Lebanon that used to play for former coach is leader in clubhouse. I believe Erica is her first name. Cant see how this would be a tremendous upgrade IMO.
  4. I totally agree Sportsfan12. I cant believe Mr. Nunley finds it so difficult to be at 6 games in one night in this county. With all the budget cutbacks at the Standard it is hard to understand why Mr. Nunley isnt given the corporate jet or helicopter to set down in lovely Irving College to take a couple snapshots then jetset across the skies to Centertown to catch the final minutes of those barnburners that happen every game night in that gym. With wrestling, bball, softball, baseball, football, golf, volleyball, tennis just in the highschool I cant imagine how one man could not find it in him to get at least 1 snapshot of everyplayer on everysquad everyweek in the local rag. Is this too much too ask. I think not. The Standard thought so highly of our sports dept. that it cut in 1/2. I think with 1/2 the manpower we in this county deserve twice the coverage. Is this too much too ask. I think not. Maybe a 24hour sports show sponsored by the Standard devoted totally to Warren County sports. Is this too much to ask. I think not. Maybe the Standard could allow everyday to be April 1st. Is this too much to ask. I think not.
  5. Will have to be outside the system because nobody in the county would bring enough to the table. Coaches with the ability to run a AAA highschool program are few and far between in this school system.
  6. I thought the crowds for AA and AAA game were very small. Games felt like a game played in the middle of December not the STATE CHAMIONSHIPS. Dont know the answer, but if that is any indication of how the State tournament finals are being presented to the general public of the state of Tn. then the system does need a turn with the wrench. That was broke in more ways than one. Attendance numbers were way down from years past. The girls tournament brought in more people for the weekend.
  7. I cannot believe what I am hearing about this socalled petition. Everyone says it states truths and accuracy about the program at WC, but people will not sign it because(Fill in the Blank). If you have a daughter that is being done so wrong that you cant stand up for what is right then you need to look in a mirror. My problem with the whole petition is this should have been done years ago. Also it seems one family has taken on as it cause to take away the power from the family in charge with the program at WC. I dont believe the people in charge can run a quality program, but that being said the school board members who are trying to make change have used this system to benefit from it. Scrap the whole darn thing. Highschool faculty needs to go, administration needs to go, elementary coaches who are baby sitters because they cant coach need to go, schoolboard members need to go, and the list goes on and on. If you think the change of a couple of people is going to lead our county back to relevance in bball then you need therapy. WC needs a major overhaul and that probably means your nextdoor neighbor needs to leave the program if they are associated with it. There isnt 3-5 people in that system that can help our program bball wise. There isnt 3-5 more in the county as a whole that could help build a winner. There isnt another viable option for any players to turn to besides the WC program unless you move. A MAJOR OVERHAUL IS NEEDED not a new paint job on a 75 model chrysler.
  8. When our own radio station announcers make comments that last nights loss maybe the worst in the Pioneer history then I think saying it is going to be a LONG YEAR is not a typical statement by a Pioneer fan. The talent on the football field just is not up to par with other 5A schools and a 2A school proved that. The 1st person to blame coaching for this is the one who needs to be called typical. They are overmatched talent wise in position after position and you cant blame anyone on the staff for that.
  9. With the rise in prices including the price of education I have a question that I cant seem to find an answer to. I know there is a 5 year window for schools to have co-op program with a school that has a sport that another school doesnt have. This means if a existing student wants to play a sport he would have to transfer schools and sit out a year if no address move took place. What happens to a students eligibility if the school he attends no longer exists. I know this sounds crazy, but some of these smaller private schools are going to struggle to keep the doors open if the economic factors continue to worsen. If student A school closes up shop at the end of his sophomore year does student A have to sit out a year of competition even though he had no idea this was going to take place. I havent got a solid answer yet and was wondering has this situation come up any where else in the state.
  10. Probably as well as it worked in 9A. Coach Parker will be near the top of the coaching food chain in 7AAA quickly. Already better than some of those coaching in the district now. Blackman made a good hire. The guy can coach baseball. Ask Cascade if they are sorry he is leaving and then ask the rest of the 9A coaches if they are glad he is going. I think the answer to both questions is yes.
  11. MO-MO should have been the mound early on. Hindsight is 20/20. Great year by the Champs!!! Can Cascade keep Parker on will bigger fish come calling??
  12. Nitro I ask this question because you alluded to it in your post. Do you or does anyone else think the administration at the highschool namely the principal is trying to force Coach Madewell out the door. I like and respect both coach Madewell and coach Smith, but from the outside looking in it seems they are really attempting to tie the hands of the head football coach. It is a shame how much the staff has been depleted with no hires being made. It is also a testament to coach Madewell and the others that they are working their tails off regardless of the situation. Once again a sad commentary of the decision makers for the highschool especially the principal. When will the madness end.
  13. I just cant defend the principal from Warren County. Cascade hired him after WC turned him down. Parker should have been a no-brainer for Warren County. He must have had the qualifications necessary to be a coach because Cascade picked him right up after WC said no. I will continue to say it-Chris Parker is better than the coaches that WC has. He has been successful everywhere he has stopped and now the WC program suffers because of the mistake of a man at the helm of the WC highschool who keeps making them over and over. WC had their chance and blew it.
  14. You can thank the genius Warren County high school has for a principal as the reason Coach Parker is not at Warren County. The Warren County program has went backwards ever since he left and Cascade has just continued to grow and progress. Told Parker he needed to be working own his degree while he was out coaching baseball. He was applying to be the baseball coach!!!!!!!!!!! What a (you fill in the blank) and WC suffers from it. Coach Parker is just good at his job. Too bad the higherups at WC couldnt see that!!!
  15. That was the worst kept secret in the Boro. GL coach. Should be interesting over the next couple of months the direction the individual board members take since the vote took 3 times to be approved. Cant think this was a hire that made everyone at MTCS warm and fuzzy inside.
