CC had a kid from Crossville last season that came off the bench probably the same one. Stone is no longer competing with the Knoxville AA teams. They are now in AAA and are playing Cookeville, White County, etc. TSSAA actually looked at the map for once. Yoder, Simmons, and Matthews are very good players. Mike Buck was one of the best coaches around. They never won a district championship until Catholic and AC got bumped to AAA. AAA--Oak Ridge and Maryville AA--Fulton and either CAK, Alcoa, or GP A--Grace and Meigs County Congratulations to Issac Merrion from Oak Ridge and Rocky Top MVP Levi Woods from Meigs on committing to Division 2 Lee.

AC and CC play in a district that is majority 5A teams. West plays in an 8 team district with only them and Lenoir City as 5A teams. Who is a 6A school besides Powell on the other side? Makes for a different regular season schedule.

Powell will probably lose 2 of 3 without Owenby. Big loss at QB.

TSSAA will get their cut and it is substantial.

Do not believe anyone outside of Ensworth could play with Fulton in the state. They are that good this year.

4 very solid and unpredictable teams in this district.

Setting up for a showdown in the playoffs if AC & CC take care of business. Would be fun to see.

AC over Central Oak Ridge loses a close one to the Cougs Powell wins big over Clinton

As a fan of 3AAA, do you think its possible for the AC guys and the former AC guys to start a thread on why their baby boy is cared for more at this school compared to that school. Seriously, most of us just want to talk football not this crap. Hodog, did you just join coacht to tear down Gillum, build up the twins, and talk about your kids grades and feelings? If so that's great, just start a thread for disgruntled dads, it will probably be very popular. Don't worry, Space will still show up.

Actually so called experts Austin Price and Prepxtra's Jessie Smithey picked Powell over AC. Doesn't matter how you CC guys spin it, it wasn't an upset. Powell lost to Fulton and got upset by Central. They were everyones preseason, besides space, pick to win league. CC beating Oak Ridge would be an upset because of the history, but CC is not being overlooked by Oak Ridge.

Catholic played freshman only. They have nearly 100 kids in their program right now. They have a loaded freshman class that came from all over Knox and surrounding counties.

Why would the Powell crew go broadcast a King's game? Why not go to South Doyle and do Duncan's game? That's really not fair to the new coach.

Hardin Valley was very talented last year. They still didn't have a winning record and got upset in the tournament. They are soft. Until they prove it, I am not a believer.

Just playing CC. Became familiar with AC during the Price twins senior year and have followed Eldridge, Lambert, Wallace, Windle, Laverdiere, and the Prices for a while. Heard Cody Seiber was helping at CC too. He was one of my favorite players for Wallace the year they lost to Fulton(state champs) in 2 OT. He was one if the few guys that could guard Jalen Steele. Really torn on this one but I think AC wins by 3.
