A couple of trips to the state tournament in the last 4 years and a substate run last year. Is that not enough? Combine that with the fact the job comes with a relatively high salary compared to other schools and the best facilities in the area and I would say that Oak Ridge should absolutely be selective or "arrogant". The difference between this time and the last hiring is that last time Coach Norris had an obvious strong tie with Oak Ridge and Chuck Carringer because he was an assistant under him and Carringer became the AD. No such situation exists currently.

Yeah, whats fishy is that Stevens didnt do anything to get the schedule for next year even though he was willing to take credit for getting the game scheduled with Maryville. In reality it was AD Mike Mullins that did the scheduling.

He played tonight in a win at Karns but starter Tucker Trent was out ill. I'm not sure how you can say Oak Ridge is on the rise. They made it to state last year and lost some very key players to graduation. They have a lot of work to get to that level again this year. Right now, they have as many losses as they did all of last year. The good news is that they have been going through a tough time lately with injury/illness so they are sure to get better and the team has 8 seniors.

Clinton is perhaps one of the meanest, or perhaps lacking in the class department. I won't give my opinion on them, but they did reference the shooting a couple years ago at Campbell County in a chant during a game. Make of that what you will.

Both the Lady Wildcats and Wildcats basketball teams COMBINED last year lost less games than Coach Stevens did this year and both teams went to state. Do not begin to compare Coach Stevens to Coach Prudden and Coach Norris.

what happened thursday night? if anything did happen, knowing clinton, it was likely an inside job to get their team fired up

the whole town of clinton has to be a giant collection of the most classess people in the world. mess with a goal post at an opposing team's field that you didnt even play at? how about you win more than 4 in 35 years before you get too excited. clinton students should be happy. they should celebrate. heck, they are clinton students, what else do they have to look forward to in their life? please clinton, if you want to cause destruction, go back to bombing your own school.

Well I guess if everyone is that impressed with what Hall did in the last 2 rounds, then I have to say I was impressed with what Quinche Dowdell did against him both offensively and defensively in the 1st round.

somebody tell Farrakahn Hall that they didn't win state. put that in there.

My observations: White Station: Jackson is the real deal, very good player. Hall is overrated. He is not 6-8. However, he is very athletic. Oak Ridge: Jared Stephens is highly underrated. Jackson not all that much better. Quinche Dowdell played better than Hall. Not saying that he is better, but he played better today. His foul trouble really hurt. Demarcus Rogers stepped up huge. Congrats to O.R. on a great season they have a lot to be proud of. White Station will have to play better to win. P.S. Tyler Clark is a really nice guy.
