  1. Were those nine homeruns at Farragut's ballpark, because if that is so, you might as well say maybe a couple home runs and some doubles, because Farragut's fences are ridiculously short.
  2. I don't consider a team getting lucky when they beat Indy 9-2, and the game was never in question after the second inning. They out-hit, out-pitched, out-hustled, and simply out-played Indy in every facet of the game. We will see if it was luck tonight, if they actually play. Also, how are you going to rank Ravenwood ahead of BGA, Brentwood, and Franklin when they have a losing record and, I guess if you take your train of thought, got "lucky" against Independence?
  3. I agree with hitter, I don't think he should be labeled that just yet. Just because he signed with a good school people are all of a sudden against him, and hope that he fails. It's not fair to him because he is a good kid, and not cocky.
  4. I think they played their varsity baseball teams, but if not I guess Franklin would win the district softball championship.
  5. I agree, Raley is a very solid catcher, his hitting is starting to heat up too, but he has been getting DH'ed for in the last couple games
  6. We will what the Rebels will truly look like this week, in a big two-game series with Independence.
  7. Franklin went 3-1 on the weekend, lost their steam and looked tired in the last game and lost to a decent Franklin County team. Got great pitching out of Robertson and Falletta in the first two games.
  8. Page? Are you serious? They are definitely one of the better teams in Williamson County for AA/A but not including everyone. If you put Page in there you have to put BGA, Franklin, Brentwood, BA, Ravenwood, Independence, and Centennial in front of them.
  9. Where are you indyeagle09??? What happened? Got any more excuses for us to hear? Well said
  10. The truth is that both teams are probably not going to be very good this year. Overton has not been good since they lost Ben Johnson and that group, and Father Ryan has not been good in quite a while.
  11. Agreed. I also agree with you on Mookie Betts, he's a good player
  12. Please never include bowling in an argument for baseball. Thanks.
  13. nobody knows. play it out on the field
  14. Yes, we know Ray and Hillis can and have thrown in the 90's. But, like many other people have said, they can ramp it up to the 90's for maybe an inning, but other than that they will throw high 80's, which is still VERY GOOD. So don't get defensive when someone says they can't consistently throw in the 90's.
  15. Thank you IndyEagle09 for another totally absurd and idiotic post. Just an innocent post about predictions and you go mess it up. Grow up. You are an example of why all 11AAA hates Independence more than anyone else.
  16. First of all, did Gavin O'Neal sign with UT-Martin or Martin Methodist? Either way, he is not a good enough hitter to lead a very weak offense for Brentwood. They have the pitching (although I seriously doubt Ray will consistently be throwing in the 90), but they will have to win games 3-1 or 2-1, because they are just not going to score a lot of runs.
  17. For the most part, that is what I meant. Kemp has incredible speed so that helps him tremendously both hitting and in the outfield. Lee is more mechanically sound on the defensive end, but I think both players have good mechanics on the hitting end. But, who are you talking about when you say Indy's centerfielder is better than Kemp? If you're talking about Ford Wilson, I think you have to re-think that statement.
  18. I agree with IHSEagle4, they are two very different players with very different playing styles. Kemp is a very fast outfielder, with a pretty good arm, and not to mention an outstanding bat. Lee is a very solid SS defensively, pretty good mechanics overall, and also has a pretty darn good bat. Can't really compare the two, obviously they are both very good.
  19. That is the dumbest idea that I have ever heard of. Reading that post just lowered my IQ considerably.
  20. I will definitely agree with you that Brentwood has the best pitching duo in the district, possibly in the state. However, they don't really have anything at all after that. They don't have a powerful offense, and they don't really have any other pitchers after Hillis and Ray. It will be interesting to see how far these two very good pitchers can take this team, without much help.
  21. A few days before practice starts and Franklin starts to defend its regular season district title.
  22. I don't think you can use the excuse that you've had seniors for only three years. If you have players, freshmen through seniors, and a coach, there is no reason that you can't be competitive with other teams that have the same amount of players, freshmen through seniors, and a coach. It doesn't matter how long you've had seniors, the key is that you have them now, so there is no excuse.
