Richland wins the rematch 6-4 in a great game. Haley Fagan hit what would have been a walk off home run in the bottom on the 7th that just missed the top of the left field foul pole! Great job by Richland, two very good teams! Good luck to both on Friday night! Richland will be a FORCE to be reckoned with in the coming years!!!

Yes - the lady bulldogs are finally getting healthy? Fagan ran out of gas in the championship game after throwing four games in a row. Lindsey Dalton with a HUGE slam against Ravenwood, Looking forward to the post season!!

Fagan pitched 4 innings gave up one unearned run. 1 hit - 2BB - 11K's. Fagan aggravated a mild back strain and was pulled after the fourth. Taylor Wolaver Fr. Threw well three innings & got the loss. Not worried about Cornersville. Fagan, Hopkins, Crowell, and Johnson are all hurt but should be back to 100% by April. Fagan hit a monster HR in the 7th. Many girls playing out of position due to injuries. It's still early. Just their first regular season game.

MaKenzie broke the growth plate in her LEFT WRIST. She will be in a cast 4wks then rehab for two. This should put her back in the line-up no later than the first weekend in April just in time for the Chick-Fil-A tournament in Brentwood. The Lady DAWGS will be OK, this will be an opportunity to build some depth and make them even stronger for the post season. I agree with the earlier post that Richland will be a very good challenge to Cornersville in D11A. Very good Freshman Pitcher/Catcher combination. However, Cornersville is loaded with experienced travel ball players and with the BIG NASTY in the circle they will be a handful for ANYBODY they play.

The Lady Bulldogs have only two returning starters from last years squad and neither of those two starters played during summer team camps due to injuries. Coach Landers is still trying to find the right combinations. They've showed flashes against good teams (WC-MCHS-LHS etc)that they can be pretty good, but just haven't put it together yet. The very tough first half schedule will pay off come February. At least we hope so!

I think Santa Fe - Richland will be closer than that. Lady Raiders in a close one!

DUH! Defending State Runner-up! Lost only one Senior from last years team! Bruce is a good coach, but he stepped into a pretty good situtation. Give him credit for being smart enough to go where talent & an a GREAT summer AAU program exist!! Those kids don't need a lot of coaching! Over coaching them at this point would be counter productive. Give'em a little guidance & turn them loose!

Lost a Heart-Breaker this morning to a LOADED Sorcerer (Phil) team 2-1. Many of the California folks out here are saying that Sorcerer (Phil) is a favorite to win it all especially since the Worth Firecrackers Team have five of their players away at the Jr. Olympics tourney in Bogata, Columbia. Great job by the FURY girls. Had a 1-0 lead until the bottom of the six, but just could not hang-on. Haley pitched her fanny off and had a few web-gems behind her on "D". We'll be back in the morning at 9:00a pacific time and play a team from Louisiana. Got to win four games tomorrow to make it till Friday. Tough row to hoe, but I beleive this group of Tennesseans are up to the task. God Bless!

FYI - The Stats on Fury are a little off. They had a 12yr old (at least she looked 12) doing stats for ESPN in the first game vs. NJ Intensity. Fagan did pitch most of the 1st game w/Henderson doing a great job coming in. Play the 2009 ASA Gold National Champs in the morning at 9am pacific time in 1st eliminiation game. The weather out here is AWESOME!!! I've had to wear my jacket to the ballpark very day so far. Facilities are 1st class. God Bless to all those supporting us back home!!

Looks like several of the TOP California/West Coast Teams elected to stay home this week and play in the ESPN Rise Premier Championship that starts Monday. Fury Gold will be making that trip. Good Luck to Worth Girls Kendall Hooper & Haley Fagan who will be making the trip with Fury Gold. Check out the ESPN Rise National Championship list of teams participating. That tournament is LOADED too!

Xplosion lost last night to the East Cobb Bullets 3-2. They play a LOADED Team North Flordia this morning at 9am eastern. Team North Flordia eliminated Fury Gold 5-4 with a walk-off HR by Univ of Florida signee & Gatorade HS Player of the Year Kelsey Fagan. The Team NF has three girls signed with Alabama, three signed with Florida, two sign with Florida State, and one signed with Kentucky. The Team NF vs. Fury Gold was a great game. The game had four girls named Fagan on the field at the same time. Two named Haley Fagan. Team NF had sisters Kelsey (UF), Sami (UF), & Haley Fagan (uncommitted), while Fury Gold had Cornersville HS's Haley Fagan (UT). Good Luck to the Xplosion Ladies!! Great Job!!
