Last year Northwest bullied the Jackets to a 35 - 7 score, and this year the teams will flop the scoring. Springfield wins this game 42 - 7. Kenwood ran the wing t very well Thursday, and this will help Springfield make adjustments in practice this week since Northwest runs a mirror image offense as Kenwood. I see the Vikings coming out strong trying to be the upset and giving Coach Offutt a much needed win, but with all the youth and injuries it is just not thier year.

No disrespect, just wondered what he coached and where. I see this game as Henry County 28 - 14. Should be a good game, but this will be two big teams playing each other. Should be great hits. Neither team will back down and will make this a dog fight. Hope no one gets hurt in this tough battle!

QBclubprez is 100% correct! However, would you go for the win on the road in the 4th quarter against a good team? Dickson is not a team that you go into overtime with and get another chance to win the game! Coach Myers made the correct call to go for the 2 points! He showed his boys that he believes in them when the game is on the line. This should payoff down the road in the last 5 games, maybe playoffs, but will benefit the young players in the years to come.

Hearing what Springfield did to NE, Clarksville High, and Greenbrier this season, and watching Dickson County against Northwest I say 34 - 13 Jackets. Springfield has had tougher compatetion, and from what I hear the only team to beat the Jackets this year are themselves. Guess we will see tomorrow night!

Red Warrior you are correct! Based on last years teams (Henry and Springfield)! Henry should win 35 - 7 in an easy game for the Patriots that will make them ready for Dickson and the region title. Maybe the Jackets should stay home this year and understand the winter, spring, and summer conditioning and lifting were all for nothing to the almighty Henry County Patriots! How about the district just hand Henry County another title so they can make the play-offs, based on the last 5 years, and lose in the semi finals! If we are basing on the past 5 years, isn't this a true statement?

You still have Springfield, Dickson, Clarksville, Northeast, and west creek on your schedule. Henry will see these teams equal them coaching, and I can bet you any amount that you dont have an athlete faster than Northeast's Jerrimah Rutledge. there are good teams in this district, but you have not faced them yet. Springfield had played two of them. Get to the game early for good parking, and watch where you park, or you may receive a bill from the city. Just heads up!

If you are a football fan of our district, then you have to give the jackets props to enter Claskville High on their homecoming and stop the option all night, danced their dance and left as gentlemen. Why would the Clarksville High Team not pray with the Jackets after the game. Just wondering when I saw that, seemed a military town could use the group prayer in these times.

To put it plainly, Springfield's opponents have records that equal 8 - 5 with all with winning records. The only losses to the teams Springfield has played are the following: Clarksville (Christian County, KY by 13 points / and Springfield by 21), Greenbrier (thier only loss to Springfield by 28), and Northeast (losses to Pearl Cohn by 21, and Springfield by 7). Henry County's opponents combine for a record of 4 wins and 8 losses. If you used this as a criteria the Jackets win big, but as we all know this game is won year by year on the field. This is not Hillsboro, but the OC and DC are former Hillsboro coaches, and the Special Teams coach is a former Christian County coach. A new attitude, and from watching the Jackets play friday at Clarksville High, a school that beat Henry at their place last year, the biggest issue facing the jackets this year are themselves. Will be a fun game if the radicals dont get carried away on here. Where is your Yanker?

So your not saying he was injured, but he wont say that he was injured, but will say he is injured if he doent play good. I am confused! If the boy is injured there is no shame, but dont blame a performace on an injury. An old high school coach once told me that there are two types of athletes. Hurt and Injured! If you cannot play you are injured, but almost all athletes play hurt at some point. So is he hurt or injured?

So why would Jalen Reeves not play? He is the starting QB and number 4! He is fast and elusive! Good athlete, and Northeast still has Williams at RB/LB, and Anthony Bass at DE/Tackle. Whomever wins will have to play their best game? Who was injured at the Pearl Cohn game?

So how many seniors from Northeast are headed to West Creek? Good luck to the region, Northeast just got alot faster. Kelly is a huge skill athlete, and will make that offense alot better. Why would Rossview allow this move? I know NE AD will OK this, but will Jonny Miller OK the move. I also have one more statement, "Academic Move!" Rossview is an academic school, and how could you make a academic move to Northeast from one of the best academic schools in this county? What has the TSSAA said about his hardship?

So when did clarksville rezone? Funny that Kelly has little work ethic, misses many practices, and the new head coach would not buy lazyness. So if I am getting this right, Kelly makes a lateral move less than 8 miles to Northeast in his senior year. Wonder if this is an athletic move, or an academic move? Looks kinda fishy that a star athlete at Rossview would move to a neighboring school his senior year to play football. So if there is rezoning, what other athletes from Rossview have been rezoned to Clarksville High and Northeast?

I first want to thank my buddy for using his user name today! Now to the meat and potatoes, and you Mr. RedDevilFever! My name is Christopher Southerland, Coached with Hood for several years, and other than the Late Dan Stevens, the only gentlemen around Hood and Bradley were ME, Xavier Jenkins, Julius Bratton, and John Van Bruggen. Funny how each of us, plus Mr. Bradley himself, told the principal that Hood did not spit on him. All was dismissed, but Bradleys grandmother was upset, and use to trying to get money from the school system in Lawsuits, pressed this issue. Todd did not coach in another county school due to the crap in Montgomery County, and the politics that run the county. So, I was there, I was also in the meeting with Stevens and Bradley's Grandmother, and the boy told her it did not happen. The following week she approached Stevens and demanded her child start, and when she was told he was to be playing behind Julius Bratton she pulled him from the team. So this is not hear say, from the word of the mouth, and if you would like to meet to discuss this anymore I have all the time in the world. Heck, we can even meet at Shepard's store, and I ask you to stop posting what you do not know, unless for a fact you are who people claim you are. As for the poster talking about Shep, Gary's son, he made a mistake and is probably one of the best coaches I had an opportunity to work with, and I would appreciate you not mentioning his mishaps in life. So now the story is straight, lets get on with our lives. Plus I am glad Montgomery County released Todd, because if it were not for the Bradley lie, Todd would not have 3 rings to sport. Short Bio: Played QB in high school, then played LB at APSU in the early 90's. From 91-92 Coached as an assistant at Clarksville High before moving to Northwest from 93 - 01, from 01 - 06 Coached at Montgomery Central, 06 - 07 returned to Northwest, 07 - 10 Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Now after all these years finally been given a chance at Clarksville Academy. While at Northwest created a defense that eventually took Northwest to it's first playoff appearence in 2000. At Central he coached the offense to a few winning seasons. At Fort Campbell he lead his special teams that eventually helped the team win 3 straight titles in Class 2A. Now his track record shows that he may make Academy a contender in the next few years! Good Luck Hood!

RedDevilFan, have you ever met Coach Hood? You sure know alot about false accuations on Coach Hood, but have you ever met him? I have yet to hear you say anything good about him, and only focus on Coach Shepard. In my opinion, and it is worth a hill of beans, I would not judge a man unless I have met him. As for illegal practicing, I have one question for you? Did you attend or watch or see this practice? If not then how can you say it is a fact, and if you were not there is it not just hear say? Word is another coach in the city slept with a student, but I didnt see it so I cannot say it is a fact. So isn't this the same situation? Fact is something you see and witness, not something you hear from someone. As for Hood spitting on an athlete, were you there? I know someone that was standing right next to the group, and the student was upset that he wasnt starting and created a false statement that was taken too far by his grandmother. Hood has only done good in this community, and could have coached here after the issue, but choose to go to Fort Campbell while teaching at Northwest. That is a fact because there is definate proof. Ask to look at his 3 state championship rings and special teams coordinator of the year awards from Kentucky. Meet the man, set up an appointment with him, I am definatly sure he will not turn away from meeting you!

And why bring sheppard's family into this? Having his son assult someone is a huge bragging point, and I am pretty sure that is something he is proud of to be shared with everyone. What a joke!
