Look I was at the game as well and I didn't see Coach Johnson pulling for any team like you are saying. Now with that said GP is in our county and a lot of the girls on that team are personal friends with the coach and Pigeon Forge High School in whole. We have known them all their life growing up in the same community and most of them hang out together out of school. If you want to talk about classless coaching then you need to listen to other coaches when they are making comments to their players to take out players on the court and those players go out and fouls hard to put that player on the bench and hurt. It's amazing how people will come on here and hide behind their screen name and make comments with out saying their real name. Start signing your threads so we know who you are!

For what it's worth if the name of the girl who got the MVP is correct, then the decision making is clearly a joke.

Okay KevB where were you tonight? I look for you during the Rutledge girls game. Well I think the process of selecting the MVP and District is decided by the Coaches of that district.

How can you say a school that has been playing Varsity ball for 5 years has stumbled. They are growing and each year they are getting better. They have 2 other teams in their district that can play with anyone in east tenn. That is Chuckey Doak & South Greene (with the twins Playing). District 3 has nobody except AE and Seymour when they are playing well. District 4 has nobody except OS and Anderson County on their good night. District 1 has Elizabethton, Unicoi and Sullivan Central. Now with all these great school programs in this area I think Pigeon Forge is doing okay for such a young school. It amazes me how people will hide behind a screen name a say anything. You can keep the all district awards, it's all political anyway, just give us the District banner.

Well I'm not Ladytigersmom, she is in the other room doing homework right now, but I think the Tigers are getting their second wind and is going to push hard this tournament and try to get a trip to the Boro. I do know they are trying to stay focused on one game at a time. If they don't win it their done. 1st game Cumberland Gap (we need to Win).

It's all about money, they want the bigger gyms to seat more so they can get the extra money it cost to get it. That's why if it's nuetral, it's fair to everyone.

If the player and the parents contact the coach it is not recruiting. Only when the coach or school FIRST contacts the student or parent it is considered recruiting.

I have been kinda thru the same thing with my daughter when we moved from Lenoir City to Pigeon Forge after my daughters freshman year. My daughter played on an AAU team that was mostly with Pigeon Forge and Sevier County school girls, but her 2 cousins played on there as well. My daughter really plays well with these girls who are now the Pigeon Forge High School team, (25-3 over all and 16-0 district) not to bad. We also had other personal issue as well as to why we decided to move it was not all about basketball. We were reported to have been recruited by Pigeon Forge and this started an investigation. I know who did it because we were told by the T$$AA who said this, but I will not give HIS name from Lenoir City. We made sure all our ducks were in a row before this took place, working with the schools AD, Coach, and Principal. I say this is everybodys fault, except the child, maybe the Coaches and AD more than parents. It is your program make sure you are doing your job right. As for the ruling I don't a dog in the race, but if you are going to bend a little here and there you are doing the other schools an injustice.

I agree if they aren't going to help fund the schools to get a bigger gym, then it needs to be played at a neutral site, Districts, Regionals, and SubState. That's another one of the T$$AA way of helping their buddies

Congrats to the Pigeon Forge Lady Tigers for a strong finish of their regular season. They beat Clinton tonight leaving them 25-3 over all and 16-0 district. Everyone played good tonight, but Kendra Newman was awesome!!!! She had (7) 3 pointers. We need to take this momentum to the district and region tournaments but there is still a lot of work to do. Way to go girls I'm very proud of you! thumb

I don't think region 2 is the Morristown association I'm pretty sure they are in the Knoxville association. That's the way the girls is.

The T$$AA thrives on controversy; everything they do from officials to rules is all about chaos. But hey when you have the power and no one is accountable this is what happens.

I don't have a dog in this race, but one thing you have to keep in mind is that the district tournament starts next week and OS coach could have been trying to keep his players fresher and not injured for the last few weeks of season. As for the highlanders, they were defending their home court and when the top team come to your place you are going to do your best to make a statement. As for the OS coach is concerned he just wants to win. He is not worried about a blow out, just a win to take him into the tournament. Had this been a rival (like Kingston) game it might had been a different story. OS is the better team, their record shows it. Scott needs to worry about the district tournaments and get a win to make it to the Regionals. District 3 is not that hot this year except for AE and you never know when you will have that perfect game and all the cards fall just right to finish higher than expected. Good luck to both both teams this year and maybe Pigeon Forge will make it to Sub-State and get to play one of your teams. thumb

Question? Normally how many player on the all district team does the 1st place get and does the player of the year normally come from the 1st place team? Thanks

By the way some of them call, all you have to do is go by Footlocker and get a work shirt and stop by the dollar store and pick up a whistle

What is norm for the all district team, does the first place team only get 3 spots or does it matter how many?
