If DB wins, surely they can win with class. Act like you have won a game before. If you are as good as you think you are, then why act so suprised? AND, don't get kicked out of the game for sportsmanship when you are winning! THAT is classless, maybe that is deserving of a letter to editor? One week you are on your backs kicking and crying because you lost and the next week you are taking cheap shots. As much of a rivalry as Skunk's boys had, they never got kicked out. If they had, the second kicking would have come from Skunk. Where is the DB pride? Wondering, did the DB coaches come up with the rumor tactic of pig flu? TN High is smarter than that. Win or lose, show some class. Sounds like someone's letter to the editor struck a nerve with DBWatchdog How's the old saying go? Something about if the shoe fits, wear it. At least the author of that letter used his real name. I think Moneychanger would be a truer id for you. Fits with your day job just a bit better. We could go into the specifics of what actually happened with the penalty that you seem to think you know so much about, but that would just be wasted on you. It's far more comfortable for you to stay wrapped in the cloak of bitterness you're still dragging around over the legend YOU THOUGHT your son was supposed to be. You won't have to dig very deep to find out the true story of what happened there, but you can't handle the truth. What's got your goat the most is who started this year and who didn't last year. You're a fine one to talk about anyone else giving their kid a "kicking". Excuses, excuses should be your family motto. Where's the DB pride? It's alive and well, no thanks to you. The bigger question is where is yours? You are a disgrace. By the way IndianNation, as much as it sickens me to say, DBWatchDog is a DB graduate and parent of a player from the class of 2009. i believe you have been stuck the next time you would like to attack a former friends son make sure they dont know who you are..... and if you would have watched the play closely enough he didnt do anything so watchdog how bout you try something new for once shut your mouth and cheer for the home team see ya friday ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!!

I will agree with SPEAR24. You should of rested your fingers and continued. Let me start by saying that what Im about to say is in no way calling for a coaching change. What I would like to see is the entire coaching staff get their head out of their u-no-what. Thats "THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF". The interview with Clark after the Clinton game was embarresing. Lets whine about 3 penilties (Clinton had 11) as if that cost us the win. And lets tell a few Mayberry jokes. And lets talk about how your happy that the players were still fighting at the end. Good Grief! This is Dobyns-Bennett Football. We're not supposed to be happy just because our guys were still fighting at the end. And there are people on here talking about the team improving from game one. Our defense gave up 496 yards. Come on people. If I had a player like James Brown for three years and couldn't make a top notch defensive back out of him then I need to be working in the shoe department at JC Penney's, not trying to coach high school football. Did anybody ever find out who the strenth coach is at DB? Our players arms look like noodles compaired to other teams. I don't think you could do a better job of destroying a football program if you tried. What really gets my goat (not a Mayberry joke) is that at one time this was the best staff in the state in my opinion. And if you really do your reserch SPEAR24 is correct. It started in the 2004 playoff game against Oak Ridge. Just really dumb play calling and game prep. Another contributing factor is the terrible coaching at the two middle schools. The poor tackling that you are seeing this year is where that comes from. Their supposed to be teaching that stuff in middle school. These boys don't know how to tackle. Its that simple. I went to the freshman game last thursday night and it was the same story. In the Sevier game last Tuesday night both the 7th and 8th grade teams lost 38-0 and 28-0. They couldn't tackle anybody. Their head coach is a DB graduate and he's so loyal to the system he sent his own son to South. Where he set a new passing record Friday night by the way. If you send your own son to one of the county schools do you think he might stear other players away fro DB to. Im telling you something smells here. We can complain about the newspaper coverage all we want. They never picked up a first down for DB ever. Who cares what they think, And Tom Taylor is a nice guy and the best play by play man in the state but he never scored a point for DB. I said two years ago that this AD we have now would destroy all sports at DB just like he destroyed the basketball program and that will happen. He is the reason we don't have Tom Taylor calling DB games now. What needs to happen now is this. Be sure you have a good program in the little leagues. (It needs some work) Get the kids interested in playing football again. Hire new coaches at the middle schools that can actually teach players the basics of blocking and tackleing. The coaching staff at DB needs to start working for that big pay check their getting. Hire a top notch strength and conditioning coach. This is a football team not a cross country running team. This deal didn't happen over night. We need to stop the bleeding right now. Now to close out this rant. All you DB fans need to stop talking like we're going to run all over Central. I don't see that happening. I don't see any for sure wins on the schedule the rest of the way. Central smells blood in the water and we'll see their best game. Oh and as all of you get all hot and bothered about what I just posted., Go ahead and print this post and put it on the wall. If these changes don't take place your looking at losing seasons being common with this program. well Mr. Jaco heres where your wrong first of all the things we dont need its another fan complaining about the fall of the indians if you dont like the way we play on friday nights do something else with your life the strength coach is building players we may not have the best size but we never do and the reason we are excited to see players continue to fight is because that shows they are going to build from the losses and be better football players tomorrow because of it i think you have lost sight of what the game of football is really about..... first and foremost coach clark and the rest of the staff is trying to set young men on the path for sucess and as for the game itself its about never giving up on yourself or your teamates and if i do recall the 2001 team went 8 and two in the regular season which they followed with a run to the semi finals so dont give up on us so quickly and as for the losing seasons since 1921 when the program started there have onl been two losing seasons thats pretty good odds if you ask me so please next time you think about coming to a game do it for the support of the team not so you can be a fairweather fan and go home and trash a HIGHSCOOL footbal team behind a computer screen you coward have fun at anderson this week hope you make it by practice..... if you would like to say something about HIGHSCHOOL football players then find me my name is Russell Clark i wear number 14 i will take your complaints

Batman i couldnt agree with you more chris would be great on D but i wouldnt want him getting more than 10 reps a game there he is very valuable to the offense and the last thing we need is him getting hurt again that destroyed the mindset of the team last year during the mcmin co game you could just feel it when he left so did the teams chances and it shouldnt be that way but thats how it was and i think we are a stronger team this year but he most def. helps our chances when he runs the ball and our O line isnt set in stone yet but those boys are workin hard and its gonna pay off it always does

we love to hear when yall start talkin please by all means keep it up because that just motivates our boys and ya know what tell the players to start makin quotes in the paper our boys will just cut out the quote and hang it in the locker room for good ole week six if yall really think you can beat Dobyns Bennett start talkin now and we will see what happens on gameday

i think we can all agree that when a team is losing it is blamed on the coaches i will stick to it and say that if yall have the oppertunity to watch the mcmin co game again on the final seris DB shouldnt have had to take a safety because the holes were there for the running backs. they just didnt run in them and three touchdowns were scored by chris that game(we only had 24 points) and he left at half with a stress fracture i know that we still should have been able to put points on the board with out him but we didnt and a few bust by our wide outs didnt help either so GC will still take the blame because a coach always takes the blame..... and GC did open up the play book he had a stop and go called and the wide out ran an out route....... he would have had a 75 yard TD othrwise

i didnt say they made the right calls every year yeah they screwed up that year but even still the players are the ones who didnt move the ball but thats one year you cant put all the blame on them every year like stupid people like you do you get an A for effort but thats all

i think your both dumb the coaches make the calls they cant make the plays plain and simple we havent made the plays to win those games but i have talked to the players from this years team and they are ready to prove people that say DB cant get past the first they are ready to prove them wrong so lets strap it on and get ready for another exciting year of Dobys Bennett football

yeah i doubt it has anything to do with the turf but coach clark is having it all taken up today before the game so tonights game will be on mud but it should still prove to be an interesting game

they are not as good on offense this year they are having a little struggle at the QB spot but you can never underestimate the Govs

its right about game time here in kingsport and the teams are about to lock up and go for it but the clear favorite is the Dobyns Bennett Indians ITS TIME TO PLAY BALL

Your wrong a game can be closer than you think and i am not sayin the scoreboard isnt right in the end sometimes things just dont go one teams way and i dont believe if and buts were in that statement, that looks like a south education to me

I think that the coaches do this to get a little fire under the boys tails make them work because DB ran none of theyre screens and the running game was mainly a pitch or an iso so i think your right they dont want to show anything on film and the D gave up one big run that looked like they had never seen and after that they shut down the run for the most part and the other two touchdowns came in the secondary who is young but they have definatly improved since the passing drills. it should be an exciting season to watch

i toatly agree i mean when do we make these claims because my whole life i have never heard any DBer say something about a state title but i mean look at south they did so well with there D1 player they tore everybody to shreds.................... oh wait no they didnt DB beat them 44 to nothing so remember when you get on here that you are messing with the Dobyns Bennett not just some podunk 4a school..... we are the real deal the big dawgs of Kingsport
