Asitis TOTALLY agree with all you say. This team could be special. To clarify re Glover the "next level" I meant DI upper mid major class of college where i think he may end up. I understand he is being recruited by several colleges in that class. He will not be able to make these shots at that level with the success he seems to have now. He will be recruited as a 3 powerfoward more than likely is my take on him.

JCS played at USJ last night. JCS started very strong and USJ couldn't get anything going. I'll have to give it to coach Russell because he did not over coach and let the game come to him. USJ started scoring in 2nd quarter and JCS just appeared to change what they had been doing in 1st Q. Kinda strange. Coach Johnson of JCS started subing very early in 4Q which I thought was kinda early. USJ had a good effort on defense which helped turn the momentum of game. EJ Miller and John Ross had good games but both started slow. E.J. showed better decision making as did Lee Mayhall who ran point most of the night. John Ross had a couple of big dunks and scored most from paint and short range. He will not be able to score in this area as much on the next level. He needs to step out more. They have a very good team around them. JCS has a good team also and I look for them to come on strong after Christmas. JCS's Daniel Sears is a good PG but has been out due to injury and he will get his handles back. Drae Bowles has a presence in the middle but needs to take more shots. I like the play of Avery Cupples also.

GCPioneer I believe this schedule has been revised. Times are different for some teams. Maybe someone could confirm this.

JJ gets them out of the cradle. He doesn't get paid enough for how many hours he puts in watching talent and recruiting very early. He has got a posse (scouts) which, there is nothing wrong with it. Players and Momma of players want to win and play on winning team. JJ has been able to do this. Keep it up.

I've not seen them all but MBA is pretty strong Student Section. They can really get in some players head.

The Bolivar HoF games last night were a preview for 2 of the last 4 teams that will be there in late March. MC's Kedren Johnson is very fun to watch but he is having to do it all. No one could stop him. Liberty's Kendall Anthony went off with about 40pts. Both Teams are good teams and this was great game. but each team depended way to much on 1 player. Having said all that it's just the begining of the season.

USJ has got talent and so does McNairy. USJ went pretty deep in football playoff so i don't know how much practice the football players have got with the team. I also hear Jake Overby the football Quarterback is also playing this year. Congrats to John Ross Glover on a great game. It takes a team to win and go to state. I believe they will come along. They will be at home against Ripley on Saturday i hope to see them.

I would suggest you look at the topic of this thread. I do agree with Melrose being a very big monster. They are not a private school. THey are not in Single A. They would kill any private school in this state Do your research on the School division in TN. BTW Bobby Parks has moved back to his home in the Phillipines. He had a good year at Melrose but not a Great year last year at Melrose. He also went to St George a true DIIA school 2 years ago, transferred to Mississippi school and then back to a TN school called Melrose. I still am scratching my head over how JJ at Melrose got this little trick past the brains at TSSAA.

Maybe he could just play Basketball. Is Blackwell for MBA hurt or sick.

BigENS I guess the private sector does not have enough interest this year other than you and I. I posted for ranking in DII A 2 weeks ago without a response. I guess everyone believes we just pay money for our championships. LOL. I think MBA will be the champs this year in AA and Knox Webb in A. Contenders will be St. George, USJ in A and Ensworth in AA.

What are the folks from DIIA thinking about how the 2010-2011 season will shake out. 1. USN 2. St.George 3. Knox-Webb 4. USJ 5. JCS

I agree Jordan is a good player but i would question his ability to run the court for an entire game. I think his strength/size is his talent. In most small schools systems you will have the problem of players having to play out of positions or not playing to their strength. I don't think the Glover kid is a 5 and believe he is a 2 or 3 on the circuit with his AAU team but as Jordan being ask to play within a system. What are Jordan's numbers on the AAU circuit?

Disagree Elvis. When i have watched USJ play they play with much effort but they are a couple of players from being a contender. The Glover Kid is for sure DI talent if he keeps up what he has done the last couple of years. It appears USJ does not know what to do if Glover is not open. Very bad shot choices on the outside and at other times it looks very good.

HUMBLE is not the word that comes to mind when discussing Scotts Hill. I would say this is the coach's issues and should be addressed.

Game recognizes game. The impact the school has over the press a great player gets is some but not huge. Example. Casey Prather's team did not even win the district last year. Greer would be known about as much as he is now even if he played for Big Sandy.
