  1. II A- JOHN ROSS GLOVER (USJ) II AA- CORN ELDER (ENSWORTH) AAA- ANDRE HOLLINS (WHITE STATION) OR ADONIS THOMAS (MELROSE) AA- KENDREN JOHNSON (MARSHALL CO)OR KENDALL ANTHONY (LIBERTY TECH) A- SMITH BROTHERS CO-WINNERS (CLARKSVILLE)
  2. I agree yank. he is going to tear it down with Dyer Co. this year.
  3. Hey Yankee This camp was the one that was suppose to be in Memphis last year but the dudes with future 150 moved it to Bolivar. I'm sure Rudisel is working to get it back. Its a good deal. Please let us know if you hear anything.
  4. J-Rock is on track to the top. Wish he come to Memphis. Like to get to see him mo. How is he doing with the Celtics this summer?
  5. CHRIS DOESN'T PLAY AAU. IN AAU YOU PLAY YOUR AGE AND GRADE (WITH EXCEPTIONS). IN "TRAVEL" BASKETBALL YOU PLAY YOUR CLASS. CHRIS IS IN THE 2011 CLASS WHICH IS "CALLED" 17U ON THE TRAVEL CIRCUIT. First there is another Chris Jones in Memphis. Question: Why does the "Circuit" ball even have age brackets at these tournaments when it really does not matter how old you are to play with anyone. Lebron could come and play if he wanted to. This doesn't make sense. How is this suppose to help the player.
  6. Dyer County....Barefoot country as a chicken coop! Can't hang with Memfoo
  7. It will be close but i'll bet on liberty
  8. Problems in the Mid-State. You dudes need to come over to Memphis and I'll show you some back handed, under-the-table, cheating, stealing, robbing BROTHERS. We invented putting out trash talk and telling parents crazy stuff. Then we charge the players to play on our team. Your problems ain't no different than anywhere else dawg so shut up and play ball.
  9. I'll put it this way, Kerry or Levon would not start for Melrose this year. Melrose is unbelievably good and you'll see. I saw Siegel with both of their studs playing at full strength and Liberty won that game by like 10 points. Liberty played Melrose and lost by around 30 if that tells you anything. Here is my only problem. People are talking about how they have seen Siegel play. Everyone is referencing the Liberty Tech game that was played on Nov. 21. That for one might have been the worst game Siegel had ever played. And do you really think a team is the same now as they were in November? That is people talking who dont know basketball. I'm not saying that Siegel is going to win here nor am I saying they are gonna lose, but I do remember a very young Siegel team busting #1 ranked Antioch right in the kisser the first round a cpl of years ago. Melrose is good, but come on people, Siegel isnt playing Kansas here. You are right. THey are not playing Kanas. It's Kentucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I'll disagree with that. I believe that Dyer Co will win tonight and both teams will win their substate game to head to Murfreesboro. They will get blasted by Melrose or Whitestation.....The only chance Dyer County has.....if they host the substate, because the refs will play a huge part in the game. Prather and Company will take this one. Not sure if they have enough to go against Memphis. but the is always hope.
  11. Your point was that Hood was more valuable to his team than Jackson. My argument is that Jackson is just as valuable to his. I'm quite sure WS supporting cast could probably whip Hoods teammates. You act just because Joe Jackson plays for WS, the rest of the players are 5 star players. You made the point about Tyler Hoods team would be at the bottom and would have been eliminated from tournament play...the same would hold true without Jackson playing for White Station. Stick a fork in this Thread...Dawg. ITS DONE!!!!
  12. REDNECKS REDNECKS REDNECKS REDNECKS REDNECKS
  13. What difference do winning games before Joe Jackson has to do with anything....No it's not extreme, if you take Joe Jackson off of WS, they would be battling for last with Hamilton and Mitchell. terop is right. one player can make a an extreme difference in a team. How many teams have you watched that was 1 or 2 players short of being a contender. Great pg "greatness" is not so much in how many points they score individually but how they make the rest of the team great.
  14. I told you J-Rock aka John Ross Glover-former Memphis Bearcat would be a player. Toney is good but carries attitude on the floor that hurt him. Lyles is a player i heard but he is a senior and John Ross is Sophmore. They will vote Lyles as Mr. Basketball because he got passed over last year by parks. It may be a upset in the USN vs USJ. Two of the states Mr. Basketball on the floor. Jody Joe what is your opinion.
  15. Toney for St George + Lack of effort on USJ's part =Win for St. George.
  16. I just sat here and read every entry on this topic and I am quite captivated by this discussion. My wife is from Sardis and I know many fine people in Scotts Hill and Adamsville. This is ridiculous. OK, Scotts Hill is a "White School". I don't really know the racial make-up of Adamsville but it does not matter. A good BBall player can be black, white, yellow or red. These are 14-18 year old kids playing this game and the adults whom they look up to are you guys. Have some class........and congratulations to Scotts Hill and Adamsville for a fine season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way.....did you say Rush (the idiot) Limbaugh was too far left for you? WOW My point exactly....it doesn't matter what color a kid is so why bring something like that up in the first place. All i did was just stated the truth of the Henderson County school system. Donn't worry about me and don't tell me to have some class.......People get on here all high and mighty like yourself all the time and say oh it's all about the kids and all this BS. NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some of these KIDS that play are so dissrespectfull and cocky they should be called out and their parents should take them out behind the woodshed. I also know a few very fine people from Scotts Hill and I also know Scotts Hill has a in the closet red neck culture..........GET REAL!!!!!!! This ain't no fantasy land this is just how it is. Deny Deny Deny.........I could care less. BTW, the Rush thing was a joke. I'm about as middle of the road as you will find. Don't lecture me and don't try to come off as Mr doo gooder holier than thou. Give me a break. Here is the problem...most people try to skirt around the truth or come up with excuses........I don't I call it like it really is. Have a nice day and go back to Sardis and insulate yourself from the real world. Yankee I am a big fan of yours and all i can say is PREACH-ON brother PREACH-on. BTW for the writer that was saying that kids were going to JCS, USJ and Trinity they are welcome to go there to if they got about $5000-$7000 per year. I'm sure they would love to see you in the $$$$downturn we're in.
  17. Maybe these two guys decided to do something different. Nothing has to happen. I am amazed at the drama mamma's of AAU.
  18. You will get no argurment on that Memphis has the best in the state! Imo some of the best in the nation every year! Memphis has alot to be proud of but as far as playing the State Touramemnt in Memphis. Imo i think it needs to stay at the Boro and most would agree! You just can't make everone happy u just have to let things be! Zebra I totally agree. There is something very special about the Boro in March.
  19. The state has several real PG. "The Show" Jackson is number one for sure. "The Ant" Anthony can do some damage to a defense and put up numbers. Cornelius Elder at Ensworth is one cool dude that has amazing IQ for making good players around him great. Was not impressed with the MBA guy or MBA at all. Kendra Johnson is a monster with the ball and fun to watch.
  20. Scotts hill must have got a new coach. last time i saw them they were being coached to play thug-ball. elbows, intentional, players coming off the bench to get into a fight after he had been put out of the game. I realize they could have gotten some better but they had a long way to go from this summer at McNairy camp.
  21. So much talent.I think most of the problems begins off the court. The hardest part of coaching is when the players are not in the gym.
  22. Fathers are wonderful but they can be the downfall of their kid. I was told that what level or how good you are is going to be 2 levels below where you daddy things you are and 1 level above where you think you are. Stokes is a great kid but I've seen some of the character that seem to be flocking around him since he is getting noticed. Hope he and his father will be careful.
  23. I stand corrected. Yankee your research is awesome.
  24. Is it possible that these guys started believing all the preseason hype that people were putting in the head? Looking to much to getting signed and forgetting the process of obtaining the gold ball. Most all of them need more grilling because they look like they are playing more I_ball instead of We-ball.
  25. Northeast High School. 2012 forward Alex Poythress has a couple of SEC offers according to national source. who are they?
