  1. TCA by 28. Hope both teams stay injury free. Jabriel should have field day against the Tigers
  2. Well You Might Be On To Something. That I Wasn't Aware of. But For Ole Stockard Or King I Like to Refer To... I Hope For A Win For TCA. Well thank you Butchie. I hope and pray for a TCA win tonight, but Jabriel cant beat Manassas alone. Our young guys are going to have to step up and make plays. If our line plays good on both sides we will win. Low and hard all game Lions! Ill say TCA by 12
  3. TCA short on players WR/DB Dylan Yates, RB/DB Austin Whitsitt, and G/LB Dusty Helton take on manassas. What should we expect out of this game?
  4. by the way i am a lions fan... not a bruin at all!
  5. Sorry about the mix up on the score. I left with little time remaining in that game to beat the crowd. But overall, GC was overmatched, all i was saying. From QB play to reciever play to line and backfield play.
  6. Southside 13 Humbolt 6 TCA 14 JCM 7 JCS 8 Northside 7 USJ 20 Gibson County 8 Nice to see some offense this year, the sports plus guys got it right when they said past years have been yawners! Not tonight, all teams present put on a show for the fans. Humbolt lost to Southside in the first game tonight, but i believe they will have a very successful campaign this year. They have two stud runningbacks and a quick elusive quarterback. I look for them to win alot of games and maybe their region! Southside moved the ball well with their power running game and i was impressed with the size and speed of their runningback as well. He's a beast! Trinity beat an improved JCM team tonight without starting runningback/Safety Austin Whitsitt and Fullback/Linebacker/Kicker Josh Lenoir. Jabriel Washington played with a hip pointer and preformed well despite his injury. JCM looked much more disiplined than lst year and i look for them to win some games this year as they move down in classification. JCS pulled off the close victory over Northside in a game in which it seamed JCS couldnt get off defense. Northside's rushing attack gave the eagles trouble, but overall the eagles were able to corral the indians and when they got the ball moved it well. The play calling on the final drive for the eagles was very good and the backside post pass wa right on the money to lift the eagles past the indians. USJ vs. Gibson County was by far the most lopsided contest of the night. USJ had way too much firepower for GC to handle and they just flat out threw it all over them. USJ should roll through D2 next year and they are Jackson's best shot at getting a gold ball this year. The Jackson area is loaded with talent this year and in particular the Quarterbacks. Overby(USJ), Jones(JCS), and Washington(TCA) all have exceptional talent and they should be very fun to watch in all their games this season.
  7. Here we go. IMO 1. Boyd Buchanan 2. Trousdale County/Cascade 3. Cascade/Trousdale County 4. Marion County 5. Forrest/Friendship Christian 6. Friendship Christian/Forrest 7. McKenzie/Trinity/Humbolt 8. Humbolt/Trinity/McKenzie 9.Trinity Christian/McKenzie/Humbolt 10. Mt. Pleasant The Trinity vs. McKenzie game on October 9th should be a good indication of which team is poised to make some noise in the playoffs. Also the Humbolt vs. McKenzie game on Sept. 25th should be a good indication of who will represent the west the best.
  8. First let me say huntington is better than collinwood. If both played right now huntington would win 28-21 or 28-14 something like that imo. The reason being Huntington is that much bigger and more physical. Second, TCA's defense did get pounded by Huntington, but they would bend and not break. For someone to say TCA got thrashed or would get thrashed by Huntington is ignorant. Now, what yall did to USJ last year was what you call a thrashing. Q: How many players go both way for Huntington? I noticed quite a few jogging on and off the field after each change of possession. TCA has 12 or 13 guys that actually play and most go both ways and special teams.
  9. Haha, I just wanted to see who's got the biggest player. I know there's gotta be some 300+ dudes out there. Perry County has two big guys, Marcus Smith, 6-1 375 lbs; Ethan Belasic, 6-5, 290 lbs. Belasic is one of the pre-season all state picks for 1A. Do they kick? Perry county loves those big kickers
  10. TCA won this scrimmage to the tune of 6 TD's to 4 TD's. TCA and Huntington both looked good but TCA had more versitility on offense and forced a turnover on every drive except one on defense. TCA has won their first two scrimmages this year 49-28 @ Collinwood and 42-28 vs. huntington, TCA is looking ten times better on defense and their offense with Jabriel washington at the helm has proved to be hard to handle thus far. good luck this season Lions and Mustangs
  11. Yea yea i dont dwell in the past... i believe we meet up at your place around weeks 5 to 7 not sure tho.
  12. I know Bruceton's not what they used to be, but to totally put the blame on your coach is not the way to get better. I have watched Tim Gilmer coach when he was a USJ all the way till now and one thing has never changed. He is a great coach. In my observation the talent level has dropped at Bruceton and it is going to take a new attitude among the players to put Bruceton back on top. I wish all the Tigers the best of luck in the years to come. Im ready to see Bruceton back up there competeing every year in the playoffs, im just sad I wont see Gilmer walking the sidelines next year.
  13. I wouldnt toss TCA in the mix quite yet... let the young boys prove they can do it first... They have to stay healthy through the first three games vs. USJ, Manassas, and JCS... They could go 0-3 to start the year and have a dang good team. Believe me I will bleed purple next year through every game, but my prayers are going to be that Jabriel and the rest of the team stays healthy, its one thing to lose, its another to lose players...
  14. Hey Butchie, when i come up this year will you tell the big man upstairs to warm it up a little bit? I thought we were North of the Mason Dixon two years ago when TCA played yall in the quarterfinals.
  15. Alrighty then, what week is the game? I try my best to make every game, but some weeks are better than others.
  16. True, but with this years schedule, we are going to have to make more than one or two stops a game.
  17. We didnt have a line this year and we wont next year either. Hodum needs to key on the defense during spring and figure it out, who ever wants to hit plays, thats all I gotta say.
  18. I love coming to mckenzie, minus the Quarterfinal loss to you guys two years ago and the sub zero temps. But besides that, Mckenzie does it right on Friday night. Thats game is going to be very interesting, TCA will be very much smaller than 07, but Jabriel is something special that Jackson hasnt seen in a long time. I cant wait to come to Mckenzie again. Win or Lose, its a great place to watch highschool football.
  19. I hope Cascade can stay healthy through that first six games. Its going to be a tough task to handle, but I think cascade will do well. Good Luck
  20. Jabriel Washington. Offers from Arkansas Texas A.M. and Colorado. Georgia is expected to offer in the near future. Tennessee is also coming on strong for a little in state recruiting. Coach Hodum told me the other day that Jabriel will probably commit during his Junior year. I hope its Tennessee, but Jabriel has always been a big Georgia fan.
  21. Georgia wants Washington as a DB. Just for the record...
  22. Wow now Butchie Im a TCA fan! I used to be kingofthejungle, but I forgot my password, so I just started a new account. Im still pulling for ya this week Mckenzie 28 Lake county 26! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  23. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I went out on a winning note! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Great season Union City! Thats what builds and maintains rivalries! McKenzie... Great job redeaming yourselves tonight! I had to show back up and give yall props on a great W. Good Luck form here on out.
  24. Well, its up to Mckenzie to determine that. lol Goog Luck to Union City as well, should have put that in the last message.
  25. Well, Im about burned out on Coacht for the year. Hopefully next year, region 8 can put togeather a better showing in the playoffs. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Ill say one last shout out for Mckenzie in this game. Mckenzie 30 Union City 28. I wish the Rebels the best of luck the rest of their season. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
