Not exactly sure what you are talking about, but I doubt that a previous employer would stop a coaching opportunity. Lets be honest most of the BS on here is just that as rumor, bad gossip but occasionally an insightful opinion.

Not sure if anything will happen and no offense to the Scene, but this needs to be in a bigger paper if anything is going to happen. Unfortunately, most of the people who read it here either don't care and or are not surprised. I am not, they have never done anything for the good of the kids in the 13 years I have been involved with them.

From what I understand they have cancelled all their ME district games therefore are not playoff eligible. Not sure if they are going to play an independent schedule or go to 8 man FB.

13 seasons, 3 wins in season (3 times) - 5 head coaches, 3 headmasters, 2 principals 1 AD- wonder what the problem is - only 1 common denominator - doubt if anyone there will ever figure it out. Too bad for the kids like many I think the school has potential.

I apologize for the confusion after rereading I agree. From what I am told, can only assume realiable, that RP ran off Martin and hired Mote against all others. But from a candidate and another source RP is not involved this time around not sure who is keeping him out or why. The only two names I have heard are both still coaching in the playoffs which could potentianlly slow down the process.

Since this is probably the same asst referred to in previous posts I concur with Bucksfan last post. This asst probably needs to go if for nothing else creating bad Image for Coach Davis and the athletic dept as a whole. Some coaches should just coach pee wee.

The weapons don't change and I have seen them play several time they have 2-3 great players a solid supporting cast who are well coached across the board. When is someone going to ask how all those athletes get Into Nashville Christian being a div 1 school with no scholarship or financial aid? It all corresponds with the coaching change a couple years back. Call it what you want but coincidence is not the word I would use. Just go to div2 with the rest of the schools recruiting at least it is more legitimate.

I think the point regarding the Headmaster is he essentially ran off Martin and hired Mote against everyone's objections, principal and AD included- so he is responsible for 0-9 and as you mentioned Martin would have them winning more regardless of talent.

Hard to say the secondary was improved when DCA pass Offense is suspect at best.They did cover better than against DA but huge difference across the board. Run Defense was impressive.

I am 99% sure the coach in question has been promoted to varsity asst. and still is helping with MS too. Agreed a huge problem, but not exclusive to them, many small privates have similar problems when the parents coach, because they are available and not always qualified. Coaching Pee Wee is hardly credential to coach for a school, entirely different situation.

The move to DIV II A for a private school is as simple as applying to the TSSAA and it could be done for the next school year as this is the year to do it for scheduling. However if they put all the privates together which has come form many sources it will happen soon enough. If I were GCS i would want to stay as long as possible and schedule wins in the non-region schedule. Outside Trousdale every year they should be competitive in the region they are in especially with the talent coming up because the move toe the D-II A Middle east region would be much tougher than where they are and have and even tougher time scheduling W's in the non-region. I realize this is HS but if firing the HC before the season is over keeps the parents who are looking elsewhere, which is the the rumor for part of the decision, then I am for it. It shows that the administration is concerned about the future of the school. And as previously stated many privates are having trouble rebuilding their enrollment from years past. Aside from the current situation I believe it has tremendous upside and will recover IF the right kind of hire is made, we will see.

Which other 2 were correct, if you got three wrong out of the 5 you predicted ? Maybe you should go back to school and learn to count and subtract - basic math. Like I said have another. Based on the they way you do math you probably think UT beat Georgia.

Then pay them to do a good job. Make them do more than take an open book test and be accountable. The T$$AA has all the money pay them extra to watch their own and critique themselves with and experienced official. As long as you do keep doing the same thing things will never change. There is no accountability, they do and say what they want with no punishment - and I quote -"Coach I can do whatever I want out here" My favorite is from last week, Linesman " Coach, calling holding is not my job, it is his (Referee)". Referee - "That is not my job it is his (Linesman)" No wonder they are so bad. To agree with an earlier post, they seem more than a little confused.

Have another you,were not even close. You only picked 2 correct and any body could have picked those-Gallitin over TC and Cookeville over Lebanon. WC by 10 after you picked them to lose, MJ and SC got and handled and pounded respectively, don't quit your day job.

Are you saying there were no applicants? How did they find her again your statement leads me to believe that they went to get her? Won't be able to listen but would love to read the transcript if available. The AD or principal would be good to hear from as well.

Are you implying 1 that you cannot practice in shells and shorts and learn fundamentals to maximize player development and 2 that some one should tell the coach how to run his practice? If numbers are a concern to make sure you have enough to play of Friday nights then shells and shorts is a good idea. Maybe you should apply the next time MJCA comes open. You think you are be smarter than JR and PC. Coach Davis can tweak all he wants until he gets players and a truly supportive administration beyond lip service they will continue to struggle.

If any one can figure out the T$$AA is about anything other than money please let us all know. They are the worst run organization from top to bottom I have ever seen, but I have only coached in 4 different states.
