  1. If Polk wins out and CAK loses one game would Polk have a shot at getting the 1 seed?
  2. Thanks APB was you able to make it to the SM vs Polk game last week. That wasn't one of his best games but he got the job tough yards when his number was called
  3. Derrick Saxe of Polk County. He carries the team and puts team first and has almost 1000 yards for the season left with 3 games left. Great kid and hard worker
  4. Coach Davis will have his team ready to play friday night. They have a shot at getting the number one seed in the quad for the playoffs if they win out. So this game and South Pitt and Meigs are big games but we got to take care of business this friday which I'm sure we will. Polk showed up last weekk and played like the team I thought they was with that hard hitting swarming the ball and with Pride. Looking forward for the rest of the season and a good playoff run. Polk wins by as many as Coach Davis will leave the starters in for which he will call the dogs off if it gets out of hand.
  5. I've been a Polk supporter for a long time and was part of the team from 2000-2004. Also my little brotehr played for them the last four years. I wished this game was played last year but it ain't. The only way Polk could pull the upset is by that hard nose running game control the clock and keep Signal offense off the field. Also can't afford any turnovers friday night. I'll be down ont he chain gain with my brother and the rest of the gang hoping for a great game and injury free game. Signal fans have a safe trip to Benton friday night.
  6. Saxe finished with 178 yards. And not sure on the tds either 2 or 3
  7. Any thoughts on this game I've waited all week for a thread to start. If polk comes out like they did against sweetwater then it could be a long night. I'm hoping Coach Davis and his staff have had a great week of pratice and get back to that smash mouth hard hitting football we are used to seeing in polk. I'm sure they got the little things fixed and get rolling good friday night. Hope everyone has a safe trip to Benton tomorrow night and good luck to both team and a injury free game
  8. Polk should be win this one. Polk fixed the problems with the oline and the defense has played good all year. The offense just didn't stay on the field long to give them a break. Now that the oline is playing the way they should polk should be fine the rest of the season with a tough game against signal and south pitt. Looking forward to the game tomorrow night with polk coming out on top by 3 tds
  9. Polk will be fine. Tough loss last week but Coach Davis will fix the problems and the Wildcats will ge tinto the win column friday night. Where is all the other Polk fans? Did they jump ship? Polk lost to a 6A school that had a good team and they had chances to win that game just didn't make it happen. It just bothers me that I ain't seeing the support like the last two years.
  10. Good luck to both teams tonight on an injury free game. Excited bout the start of the 20011 season. Go Polk
  11. All i got to say about this game is that Polk khas to come out hungry and ready to hit like Polk hits. They are going to have to lay some licks on Bradley and keep it close. Should be a great game good luck to both teams and injury free game.
  12. Polk looked good against Howard. Howard scored on the freshmen and only had 2 first downs against the 1's. Polk 1's and 2's scored 7 tds. Polk looks as good as last year but last year is last year this years team looks hungry and ready to go. Go luck to the Wildcats this year.
  13. I agree Hargrove was a rare talent and so was Allen. Well most of the seniors that left was. They played as a team and played hard. They lost alot when they left but Coach Davis always finds the players to step up. As for Hargrove that kid played through a lot last year and showed me how big of a heart he has. I'm friends with his dad and they are a great family wish nothing but the best for them. They did lose Norwood and Soos on the o-line those will be big shoes to fill. Also losing the speed of Lee will be big but I'm sure Coach Davis and his staff have found the players to step up this year and fill the shoes. Just a couple of more weeks and we get to see the Big Red Train start knocking some heads around.
  14. Polk has some tough games this year With Bradley, Signal MTN., and South Pitt. Looking forward to see who steps up to fill the big shoes of the seniors that left. Polk should take care of business in the district I don't see any team stopping them from winning that. Sequoyah fans before you start going crazylast year the starters was pulled in the 3rd jsut like most of the season I think the starters only played the whole game twice against Bradley and South Pitt. I hope Sequyah will give them a tough game but I just don't see it. Just a few more weeks and the friday night lights will be coming on and the helments will be knocking around can't wait for a great season. Go Polk
  15. I got a few thoughts on this. First I'm a polk alum and was on the team from 2000-2004. That beging said I think the central fans just need to get behing the young men that are going to be there and practice hard because My freshmen year which was Derrick Davis first year we only won 2 games and had talent to win more but new coach new system. I really would like to see central get better and give polk a tough game. Its one of my favorite games of the year since Basin is scared to play polk. But I'm just saying give the coach and his staff some time and get the little league coaches on the same page because I think thats what helps Polk out is the little league system is one of the best around as is Loudon's. Hope the chargers improve and keep getting better good luck to you guys this year.
  16. I agree with you 89charger they are well coached. Derrick does a great job with those young men and always finds the players to replace the ones that left. I'm waiting to see who steps up this year to take over. Polk always plays with heart and hard hitting but like someone said losing the speed of Allen and Lee could hurt come playoff time. I'm excited for the season to start. Hoping to see another great year and some great games. I would also like to know if anyone has heard of any scrimmages they are going to have.
  17. Polk and Loudon should be somewhere in the top 10 they both always have good teams and both play hard with a lot of pride. Tyner is going to be a tough team this year but everyone knows in the east they got to get through that beast Alcoa.
  18. Just wondering what everyone thinks about Polk this upcoming season?
  19. Polk did lose a lot of great ball players this past year but they only lost two o-linemen and got two to fill that void. Allen and Hargrove was teh leaders so someone is going to have to step up and take that role. But they return a lot of talent and got a great group coming up from the middle school. They got 2 returning backs got a great qb prospect in Duncan Coffey. They should be fine Coach Davis always finds the players that work hard and play hard for him. Polk did pick up Signal Mountain and Central and kept Bradley Central then the district teams of coarse. I'm excited to see how this team plays in the spring but will be without some key players to baseball but great chance for the younger players to get some time in. I'm already ready for the season to start good luck to all the teams this year and hope everyone stays injury free.
  20. From a Polk fan I would have to agree he should be on that list. After last friday I was impressed and I've heard thst he is a pretty dang good baseball players also. Thats what the Allens, Lee, and Hargrove have told me. CAK got a very fine young man as their field general.
  21. Someone sent me a private message but it won't let me see it. Sorry I don't know why it won't let me. But anyways looking forward to meeting the CAK fans and a great game firday night less then 24 hours away. To all my fellow Polk fans have a safe trip. I hope both teams come out injury free. I jsut got to say its been a blast watching these young men go to battle for so long and been great watching my little bro since he was 5 years old. 51 play your heart out and leave everything on the field with you fellow teammates. Proud of you and all the players. Watching you and the rest play ball is the best part of the week for me. Love everyone of the Polk players good luck to you guys morrow and G.A.T.A and rembember what Jim Bell said you guys are a special bunch. Go Polk
  22. It won't let me see your messsage. IF you got facebook my name is jared soos

  23. This thread is out of hand imo bit anyways friday night is going to be a great game with two good teams going at it. I'm hoping Polk can pull it off. CAK fans a lot of us Polk fans aren't liek all these post and you will see a great crowd from us friday night. And I understand from the CAK fans that have posted on here that are true and respectful that means a lot to the Polk fans that are the same way with that being said all teh Alcoa fans that get on here and ru that mouth and put down everyone thae classless. I know they have won how many titles but whatever yeah they can be proud of that anybody should but to but down every school they play I mean come on man. One day they will get knocked off the perch and I can't wait to see it. But anyways CAK fans so I hear the food is good up there at trhe field I prob get there early and eat with yall. SOunds like it would be fun and I got to try some of that famous nanner pudding. I'm done posting on here till friday. Hope everyone has a safe trip to the field friday night. God Bless and go Polk
  24. Couldn't agree with you more.
  25. First off Tyner has been a a pain for Polk and Davis and to get the win was special for him because he has the outmost respect for Wayne Turner and the Tyner team. With that being said this game will be a hard fought close game. Just wondering CAK fans how long has the young men played together just wondering ok so don't blow up. I was reading all the post and seen someone saying all teams in the playoffs play with heart and passion I agree. Just saying these Polk players have played together since they was 5 years old. They don't play for stats or themselves they play for the guy next to them and the coach. They love to play the game and show great sportsmanship and great role models in the school and around town thats what Coach Davis teaches. They play hard no matter who its against or the score. Its been great watching everyone of these young men since they was 5 years old. Not saying CAK don't play hard or withou passion or even dirty they have a well coach team and all I hear is good things about them and they have my respect and I'm sure a lot of Polk fans respect. I've been wanting to see how Polk stacks up against the CAKs and Alcoa which both are the top programs in the state. Polk fans repsect Alcoa also. I wnat o see a hard fought game friday night from both teams and a injury free game. And for Polk playing weaker teams thats the district we had 2 very good teams outside district play and next year they have added better teams outside the district games. Polkk can't help that the other teams in the disrtict are down. CAK once again I have a lot of respect for you guys. My lil brother is teh starting center and I personally know all the starters from all the years they have played together and very proud of all them. I know this post don't have much about the game I jsut wanted to get away from all the trash talking and just post how I feel about my WIldcats. Hope to see a great crowd friday night. GO Polk
