  1. York is horrible. Stone Memorial isn't very good either. White Co beat York like they were horrible. LA lost. Therefore, I'm picking White co 27-14
  2. LA gold balls= 1 LA W's over Coach Maynord= 0 Should be a good game. Smith Co.'s ground game will be the difference SC 21 LA 14
  3. In the words of the immortal Joe Friday "Just the facts sir, just the facts." Must hit the campaign trail now, but want to congratulate Hayes on breaking the rushing record. Yes, he did.
  4. Looks like you're not getting the whole story steno. LA's record:2006: 1-9 2007: 1-9 2008: 1-9 2010: 5-6 Was MC records comparable to those I just listed?
  5. I don't know if Martin could handle it. Hayes and Winningham would be better options beyond a doubt, but I'd say neither one has taken any reps at the position. They are bigger, faster, and stronger than the current #2 QB. The current #2 QB may turn out to be 6'2, 180 lbs. but he isn't very big right now. Looks like Winningham would be the better option. It would be tough to take Hayes out of the RB role. No need talking about it because: 1)McCoin will probably play 2)MW @QB will never happen anyway. Heck in 2008 I wanted Hilary Clinton as my VP but it didn't happen. I survived that. I still wish I could get her to be my VP in 2012 but it won't happen. It may beatme this time around.
  6. Well I see the Cats haven't lost a game since my last trip through town. People have told me that the competition hasn't been too stiff though. I did notice they beat my homeplace(WH) last week. I don't much about how good they are but traditionally they are pretty good. Based on looking at both teams schedules, the game tonight will not be close. This is not a typical York team. Emotions will be high with this being SR night. If I get re-elected next year, I am going to hire a regular poster on here to be in my my cabinet because I truly believe he can help me solve the economic crisis we are in. He is the information guru for LA sports.
  7. I've been on a whirlwind tour the last several weeks. Was in Detroit yesterday. This is the first chance I've had to get caught up with the football scene. I see LA is 1-1. If the opponent is Smith Co. just go ahead and put the mark in the right hand column. The owls and Maynord is not an achievable win. I thought this year was the beginning of the gold ball years. If Friday night is any indication, one of those years will have to be put on hold. SC is good but not state title good. Maybe the troops can be rallied(I doubt it) we'll see. As for beating SC, LA faithful just be patient Maynord will retire someday. He's probably 57-58 years old so retirement might not be far away. Well, I've got to get back to work on the economy. So far, I've not faired any better than LA has against Smith Co
  8. I'm sure GC has speed but I said speed around the board like LA has. Get the car key out of your ear.
  9. Giles Co hasn't seen many teams with speed around the board like LA. But in the end, I believe the Bobcats will win in the battle of these felines. Giles by couple TDs.
  10. Making the playoffs is always an early season goal of every team. The difficulty of making the playoffs is not what it once was. Numerous teams with losing records get in now but they normally get tough first round games on the road. I won't pretend to know the ins and outs to it all, but a win over macon would have to be really big. A 5-5 record might get LA a tough first game opponent probably on the road. Road games normally aren't good. So maybe this young team can go 6-4 and get a home game. Usually road games are harder on young teams.
  11. 3rd down and 7 or 8 yards to go, running play(with no time outs) 4th and approx 7 running play. You tell me. Good or bad ?
  12. Practicaly no offense in the game for LA {except a few Roberts runs} and unbelievable play calling by York at the end of the game. The difference in the game was Redbone had the defense jacked up and ready to play. Any win is a good win regardless of the score, especially district games.
  13. And too much speed. Although LA speed didn't help much against AC. I believe it will be a close game though with LA winning in the end. What's the status of Hayes?
  14. However, unlike in years past, the Mavericks haven't seen an LA team with speed around the board like this. So, be prepared in Maverick country.
  15. Starters may go to the sideline early if the game isn't real close. Need to protect against injuries.
  16. I think AC does throw it alot. We'll see if LA has enough speed to slow them down. The cats did shut out Upperman though, so they are definitley capable of good defense.
  17. Whats everyones thoughts on this game? Does LA continue the winning streak?
  18. Sounds to me like Cannon needs to do what LA does and just cancel there JV games. Didn;t realize White Co had scored that many points. I did read an article where LA barely had over 150 yards offense against Upperman.
  19. You may be close on the point spread but there is no way these 2 offenses score that many points.
  20. Couldn't agree more. Great performance by Livingston against a pretty good Upperman squad.
  21. I guess its hard to get to fired up when a below average team plays a really bad team. As for the rain, none in sight. Let the party begin. Livingston pops the win column tonight. Hallalujah
  22. Predictions for this district clash? I'm surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for this upper cumberland showdown. Livingston 0-3, Upperman 1-2. Upperman's win over a really bad Pickett Co. team.
  23. Another year and another loss to SC. You would think the law of averages would have to kick in sometime. Hats off to the Livingston defense. They kept the cats in the game, Not much else to say.
  24. I figure you are correct. The Republican base is growing. 2 years and I'm toast. Just as the Cats probably are tonight.
