That looks like a pretty tough district to me. Looking at those teams, i only see 2 or 3 possible wins but you never know, thats why we play the games. Hopefully for West, some of the teams in their district will be down next year and West can take advantage of that.

6-5 huh? same record as the Dragons. Should be a good game. Im not sure, but i think T.C. was one of the teams at the passing league that was @ UT this past summer. As for the in-county games, i dont know if it is better for them to be at the beginning or end of the season. I know there would be a bigger crowd if it is early in the year because everyone is excited about the beginning of the season, and at the end of the season the teams may have 4 or 5 loses and with the weather being colder, there may not be as big of crowd. Either way, those two in-county games should be very interesting.

Tell me who all is in their new district and i will let you know how i think they will fare.

That's true CougarTrav....if people think that Clinton and Oak Ridge dont get along, just wait till they get aload of the A.C. v.s Oak Ridge series. lol!

I dont know about you devilsden, but im kinda looking forward to the new district. The only teams in it that we dont already play is Karns and Hardin Valley. We play Anderson Co. and Oak Ridge and Campbell Co. every year anyway. We finally got rid of Maryville, but we may pick them up in a non district game. Our coach said that he would still like to play Maryville even though they weren't in our district anymore.

This year at Clinton, they would announce for people to stay off the playing field until the two teams had a chance to meet at mid field. Then it was o.k for fans to go down and meet with the team and have a prayer and stuff like that.

I understand where you are coming from Shelia. I just feel that a stronger schedule gets your team ready for the playoffs. Would you rather go undefeated in the regular season and lose in the first round of the playoffs? Or maybe lose a game or two to a really good team, then maybe go to the 3rd or 4th round of the playoffs....possibly winning state? I know that playing good teams doesnt mean that you automatically have a great team come playoff time, i just think it gets you better prepared for the tough games you might face.

Maybe Coach J is thinking that playing good teams should make Halls a better team. You shouldnt schedule a weak team just to get an easy win. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

yeah, your right. Campbell Co. will be in there too. I was really impressed with the way Powell played this year! I think our new region is going to be a great one! I can't wait until next season! Good luck to your Panthers as well!

The way that i understand the playoff system phatcat is they will take the top two from (Anderson Co., Clinton, Central, Halls, & Powell) .....(Oak Ridge, Hardin Valley, & Karns are 6A teams when the playoffs start and the top one of those will move on to play in the playoffs) That is my take on it, but i may be wrong. This is going to be strange until we get used to it. lol!

I heard that Clinton will be starting a home & home series with Kingsport DB next season. If anyone knows Clinton's schedule for 2009, I would really appreciate the info.

I dont remember seeing any Rhea Co. fans on the Clinton side when I went down there in the first round. But what we did see was that someone had written Clinton stinks on the railing in front of the away side seating about 3 or 4 times in white letters. That was probably just some kids that go to the school though.

I say that Rhea Co. will give Maryville a pretty good game, but i dont think Rhea is good enough to knock off the Rebs. Maryville 24 Rhea Co. 14 It's not easy to beat a team twice in one season, so i think Farragut will get Ooltewah tonight Farragut 28 Ooltewah 21

I read in our local paper that DB will be opening up @ home against Clinton next season.
