  1. sounds good. good luck to you guys. please keep me informed. i am going to miss those farragut ooltewah games. who do you guys play close to knoxville this year. would love to come see a game plus smith play. thanks again.
  2. what is the score now. tried to find the game here in knoxville no luck.
  3. First of all great game. Farragut o-line and d-line did a very good job tonight against Catholic made the big plays when they had to and thats what it takes. Farragut is right were they need to be. Great job.
  4. ok, noles, let's try to be positive. When Lee isn't subbing at QB he's double covered. That's ok, though, cause it opens other receivers like Allen, Gibson, Urevick, et. al. And BTW, Carlos' photo clearly shows his reception in the end zone last week was in bounds. The o-line, young as it is, has done a great job so far in allowing superb rushing from the backfield. The defense just needed a minor adjustment to cover the short passes across the middle at OR -stopped 'em cold after the first series. Admittedly, the Ads need to come out fired up but don't think that subject hasn't been addressed this week! Not saying Lee didn't catch the ball but if you rewatch the game like I did it was close and the unsportsman call didn't help much either after that. Look at the passing yards against DB (4-7 92 yards) not even a hundred yards and DB had alot of missed tackles in that game at to be 2 -0. Did you go to the first game with DB Allen didn't have a catch. OR game 16-34 159 Allen had 6-106 yards, Gibson 1-5 yards, Urcuich 3 for -3 yards and Lee did not have a catch. I am not saying they are not doing good they are just Purty is going a good job after contact with getting more yards. With the o-line not much offense early in the last two game 2-0 and 0-7 and did not score till half time. Not saying anything against DB and OR but not a good football team like Catholic, Marville, Bearden with these games coming up. I think putting Lee and Purty in the back field together is a good idea. Lee is a good player and you do want to get the ball in his hands and thats what they did against OR what 70 yard TD. Defense is doing good but they still need to turn it up this week DB got down there close a few times and OR did move them ball till after half time. The opening kick off Purty run back was big there. I think offense will come you just can not think Reese is going to just come in and light it up after what he has gone thru. He is a tough kid he will make plays at QB.
  5. This was exactly the kind of post I was referring to when I said you reflected poorly on Farragut. Fortunately, I'm well aware that most Farragut fans are not like you. Cry me a river, man. I don't even go to Farragut so how do i reflect on them? Your post was just like many Catholic fans. Crybabies. When things don't go your way or someone says something bad about Catholic, you act like the sky is falling. It's hilarious really. Then change your name from The Farragut University since you have nothing to do with Farragut. I did go to Farragut and I really don't want to here this. I really don't here the Catholic fans saying anything just you.
  6. O.k. back to the game. Farragut does have some play makers but Lee really hasn't done much at receiver this year he played a couple playes there the first game and had one long catch with Brown not 100% and I know Browning is working the rust off but looked pretty good last week for his for true game back. Purty has done a really really good job this year running the ball and Lee has done a great job running the offense to. Those two are a pretty good looking one two bunch when they are in the back field together. It was really good to see David Allen get involved in the passing game last week but he took a pretty good shot on his touch down catch how is he doing from this is he good to go tomorrow night to me that will be a big plus if he can and help take the pressure off Lee so you can get those two in the game together at receiver hard to beat. The o-line likes better but they are young and the freshman has done a pretty good job this year but I think this will be a big test for them this week against a big Catholic team. The defense still needs to improve on pass covers and there LB's looked better in the second half against OR. They need to get a little more pass rush up front didn't do much against OR. I know coach Courtney and that defense of coaches will have them ready to play. I really want to see Catholic running back they have plus they have a very good QB to. They are a big team up front from what I here on both sides of the ball. This will be a very good game and if Farragut starts out slow like the last two games could be interesting Catholic wants to show everyone they belong with the big boys. Can't wait.
  7. I thought allvolfan1 was not on here anymore. Starpower this guy has no idea what he is talking. At first it was kind of funny now it is getting old with is commits. O well can't wait till tomorrow night. Starpower what happen Monday night with the freshman team did you go to the game.
  8. This will be a good game to see really where both teams fit in at in this region. Farragut will be tested this week with the O-line thay have done a pretty good job so far but it is been a slow start the last two games. Farragut defense is really going to see were they are at or were they line up. Meadows is a good football coach and he gave Farragut problems before when he was at WB. Going to be a good football game to see. Catholic does have some good play makes on both sides of the ball plus they want to show everyone they belong with the big boys.
  9. I have gotten to see both of Faragut games this year and yea they got some play makers but the two teams were not that good. Knew OR would be down but I think Blade has done a pretty good job with what he has done over there at OR and I thought DB would be a little better than what they were took Farragut a little while to get going in thoughs two games. Catholic has some play makers to and are big up front and coach Meadows has always gave Farragut problems when he was at WB. If Farragut does what they have in the first two games come out slow then it could be a interesting game. I was right there in the enzone on Allens hit how is he doing. That will be big for Farragut if he doesn't play he had a good game Friday night against OR.
  10. Farragutless looked great last night. I think they will have a great year. Bounder & I are old school. Farragutless comes from a time when the series stopped. We still wanted to play but someone else took their ball & went home . That's ok, Farragutless is back & they look great. They have ugly uniforms but they really played well last night. I think they are going to take some people down this year. Or are "We" Oak Ridge really that bad? I thought we showed promise at times. The D has a long way to go. I think Blade will get 100% out of them. That does not translate to wins but I am willing to wait. That will come in time. Hey bladerunner what does uniforms have anything got to do with playing football you think OR uniforms are pretty or something. Farragut looks ok yet DB wasn't what I thought they would be and I know OR is rebuilding but this Thursday night will tell the tale with Farragut. How is David Allen doing and who got the unsportsman like on them when they ruled no touchdown on the pass in the end zone was it a coach or player for Farragut.
  11. Being a former player in the late eighties and my son played last year for four years and being around this program for a long time. I have seen all the players play and played with one of them that were named in a early quote. I will have to agree with starpower with what he had to say about this. Farragut was a average team to till 2005 look at there records back then. Now they are playing more of the younger kids that are in the program that can help when games for them. These younger kids go out to practice and hit the weight room hard so they can get a chance to play on Friday night. I got to see last years senior class go through the program for fours and get better plus get alot bigger and stronger. You see kids weigh 185 lbs benching 300 lbs, squating 450 to 500 lbs, and power cleaning over 300 lbs thats the kids you want on the football field. To me the object is to put the best players on the field not whether they are a freshman, soph, junior, or a senior it is a team sport. If these kids think that they can go through three years of not getting better and not hitting the weightroom in the off season and when there senior year get here and want to play just because they are senior is not helping the program go to the next level which Farragut has not done yet a State Championship. Can't wait till tomorrow night Wildcats love this game.
  12. Here in the Farragut community plus Farragut Football we are very very sorry for the lose of your son Mr. and Mrs Sullivan and to the community of South. I know that words cannot say how deeply sorry we are for the lose of your son cannot take the hurt and saddness you feel right now away from your heart only time (and god) can heal that but we will keep your family and that community in our prayers and thoughts. I know we don't know you personnel but we are god's children and to god we are like bother and sister if there is anything I or we can do to help you and your family out please just let me know. God bless you and your family from the Farragut community.
  13. allvonfan1 quote would not let me add another quote to it. Yea I did. I really let that game (Oolttewah) get to me last year we had them on the ropes and let them back in. I really thought last years team had what it took to get to the big dance. I am sorry for that to the coaching staff, players along with the fans if they look at this. Farragut does have a good coaching staff I hated to see coach Pate leave to CAK he was a great coach and good with the kids plus the weight room getting these kids stronger. I know coach Courtney will have these kids ready to play. Can't wait.
  14. To answer you question yea and the commit about the Aloca scrimmage (a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then). All I heard about this kid last year and the few games I saw no he really didn't have the break away speed looks good but thats it. Last years o-line was pretty good and this years teams o-line no where close to last years team. All you have to do against Farragut is watch last years WB, OR, Ooltewahs games and load the box against them. Healthy or not Browning can not run. allvolfan1 what in the world are you talking about. The first time I say Purty and never seen him play you could tell he was a player. He came in late pretty much right at the being of the first game. He started out a little slow learning the system but looked pretty good and got better as the season went on. If you looked at the stats you saw that he ran for 1300 yards last year. Last years team throw alot and scored from throwing and running Purty really did not have to make a real long run with the WR they had last year. I will have to agree with star power about the Aloca game and the 75 yard run looked pretty good. This year team will be fine. From the word around town Browning is not playing friday night not saying he might not take a few snaps but they wanted to get his feet under him and get ready for OR which is a region game nothing against DB but you have to win the region games to go to the playoffs with this new setup. Farragut is a little young on the o-line but if they can not get them ready then it does not matter if Browning plays or not. Defense has a good front three not real sure whats behind them and the LB's really only has the Harper kid back and the DB should be O.k.. I hope Allen will play bothways he is a pretty good FS. #9 Allen is the kid to watch this year good player. allvolfan1 come to more games them a few before you judge a player. This game will be a good test for Farragut playing DB out of the shoot DB is a good football and I can't wait to see there big stud running back he was a freshman the last time I saw him and he looked good then. To me who ever does good upfront will win this game which is a no brainer there. Can't wait.
  15. From what I understand Lee did not play in last Saturdays scrimmage with Ooltewah. I went and saw a little (ones against ones) of the Aloca scrimmage and Farragut looked a little ruff with the LB's and secondary front three looked pretty good. The offense looks ok Purty and Lee had some nice runs and Purties first run of I guess it was 80 yards was hopeful but the o-line needs some help. I know it was the first scrimmage and all. Getting Browning back will help and putting Lee back at receiver will help but if that o-line does not get tougher up front it could be a long season for Browning. Looking forward to the DB game and see what happens. They still have one more scrimmage on Thursday at Jefferson County. Coach Courtney will have them ready to play. Tough schedule though and having to beat Bearden, Maryville, Catholic, West, WB, Heritage, Lenior City in the new region and DB,OR, Riverdale as there non-region games. From what I understand from this new region the top two teams are in and it's a wildcard after that. Good Luck
  16. How did Farragut and Ooltewah scrimmage go today.
  17. Farragut Ooltewah scrimmage 8/8/09
  18. From what I have heard and read and saw a few game Farragut has always had good players just nothing to help them get better and stay hungary throughout the year. Starpower were you not the one a few years ago talking about the coaching staff and how bad they were at Farragut etc, etc. I have nothing against there head coach (I don't even know his name) it is what he has around him. I saw a few games last year like the OR game. UGLY offensely Farragut is a program that has the players and have a pretty good coaching staff. I played for coach Courtney ( thats his name) and my son played for him to and he is a good football coach plus person. I will have to agree with starpower with the championship its not the coaching so much and you as a player got to want to win to. A coach can only do some much the kids have to do the rest that is why Aloca wins the big ones. Yea they do have good coaches but the kids want to win the big game every year over there. If Farragut would get the taste in there mouth to win the big one it could happen just like Aloca and Maryville.
  19. Man sorry to here that about Reese. We will keep him in our prayers and thoughts and wish him the best and full recovery.
  20. Sorry to here about Browning how bad did he get hurt and how did Farragut look in the two scrimmage games this spring.
  21. nothing new there. I guess the MW scrimmage will be at Carson Newman next Friday. Hey starpower if you go to the scrimmage friday let me no how it goes. should be interesting.
