Naturally, since I know some of the Central player's and their parents, and even know some of the coaches (some fine Christian men, I might add), I'm hoping the Chargers prevail. I think the Charger coaches have impressed quite well on the team all week that they will be facing a VERY formidable opponent in CAK. Just looking how good of a game CAK gave Alcoa tells you how good they are. The only school attire I have is McMinn County black and gold (from two decades ago when my Sons played there); Fairview Christian Academy blue and silver (from when my Daughter played there); and Meigs County orange and black (from when my Grandson played there)..........so one of the McMinn Central coaches is going to dress me for the game in Central's colors. So I'll be the purty one, who obviously likes to eat. you claim your youngest son? You are one good man!

mr. logcabinman I'm sure is comparing our schedule to the previous years schedules. Nobody saying our schedule is tougher than yours. If you CAK guys think our schedule is weak this year, you should have seen the previous years.

York's defense does seem to be very solid. I believe their offense might be a little weak compared to their defense. They did struggle to score on Meigs. (3 of their 4 TD's were set up by the defense) I predict Sequatchie wins by 10.

With using paydirt's logic (which really is ridiculous to use!), try this one: CAK: 7 Alcoa: 24 MC: 7 Alcoa: 49 Would look like MC doesn't have a chance. Neither team has wins over quality opponents. Sequatchie did beat Marion (6-4) and Central beat Kinhston (5-5 after tonight). In their losses Central has played better competition but got blew out in 2 of those three losses. I think this game will be a great one to watch.

I normally don't like to disparage posters, but this is the stupidist thing I have ever read on this message board. It wasn't even Alcoas decision, not to mention the loss of gate, and the band parents concession loses. Next time you want to engage in a battle of wits, don't come unarmed. Boy I must have hit a nerve. While talking about wits, how is it not alcoa's decision to move their home game? Did TSSAA make them move it? Come on, you must be smarter than that.

Who does Alcoa think they are fooling by saying the reason they are playing at Tech is because their field is too saturated....NOBODY! We all know that want to get accustomed to the atmosphere at Tech before December. Sounds like they are counting their chickens before they hatch! I have always had lots of respect for alcoa but now hope someone pulls off the upset in the playoffs and they don't make it to cookeville.

I remember reading the thread this summer on the new coach at bledsoe. it seemed that nobody believed in the new coach. its funny how everybody jumps on board when the team is winning. Anyways, I'm glad things are going well in Pikeville and for coach Reel. I pick Bledsoe by 14.

Coach Goodin is a great coach and great person. I believe he will do great! I believe the teams he will field will not only win, but will be a team that our community can be proud of. He believes in discipline and character... something these kids need badly! Good luck coach!

Quick Facts: Opponents winning Percentage: Dekalb-.474 Central-.434 Offensive points per game: Dekalb- 36 Central- 36 Points allowed per game: Dekalb- 24 Central-10 Central's secondary is weak and Dekalb's passing offense is a strength. I believe this will be a great game. It all depends on how central's coaches and players can shake off the loss on friday. If they have poor attitudes this week of practice, this game could get ugly quick.

McMinn gave up over 400 yards rushing against bradley last week. I don't see the defense being able to stop a team as good as DB. Also McMinn had a hard time scoring on bradley with the defense scoring 1 TD and another TD came on a fumble recovery aroung the 15 yd line. So really mcminn's offense only scored 7 points. Sorry to be so negative but McMinn doesn't have the fire power to win this one, but anything can happen.

In my opinion, little league football is about teaching the fundamentals of football and providing kids an opportunity to enjoy playing the game and have fun. One of the local youth programs in my area 7-8 year old team is undefeated and was playing the 2nd place team. The game was very close and as a result 8 kids on that team did not get to play a single down. The kids were asking to go in and the coach replied "Guys, do you not want to go undefeated" Should youth coaches play to win or play everykid on the team? Tell me your thoughts

With Massingale at qb....they don't need ables anymore. Just be there as a backup.

The only team that could match up with central's speed was East Ridge and look how close that game was. Howard will be able to run with Central's speed on the outside but I don't believe they will be physical enough to stop the chargers. If Central can hold on to the ball and cut back on penalties, they should win it but it will be close.

Even with Polk coming off a tough loss they will win this one easily. Notre Dame looks like a junior high team this year. A little speed but not much size. Polk by 21.

When was the last time Bradley won this contest?

Finally, the mcminn bradley game has some meaning to it again. There hasn't been any compition in several years and has taken the rivalry out of it. I believe it is going to be a great game. McMinn wins in a close one.
