Let's see if we can clarify a few things for those fishing from the owl's nest. From what I understand the reason they are playing a Varsity schedule and not JV is because of scheduling. There is a two year scheduling set-up(every two years) So if they played a JV schedule this year they would also have to play one next year when they have seniors and that would not be good for them. Signal Mtn played a JV schedule because they were on the back end of a scheduling cycle and thus could not find varsity games because schedules were set in the league. I think the staff they have put together will have the kids ready. Any first year program will take some lumps but they might also surprise some too.

There is a lot of good coaching talent in the Chattanooga Area, All of the Programs that have had success in the area have some good young assistants (Ooltewah, Red Bank, Rhea Co. Soddy Daisy) I think there might even be some alumni on some of those staffs. Problem is the pay is not as good in smaller school systems.

Wow getting a little childish around here. Is this a post about a coaching position for the students or a pi**ing contest between those that don't have the kids interest at heart. Are there any alumni in the surrounding area that might be good candidates. Surely there is some that got out of the valley and learned a thing or two.

If the guy from rhea is hired you can go ahead and get ready for several years of misery. They need someone young that is a great motivator and Has ENERGY.

Don't know what Signal will have, heard several of their players were involved in an altercation well fight or ganging up on another kid that started a fight and some of them might get 365 and if they don't you will really see what kind of power school board members have.

talent does not always constitute wins (EX. Cleveland this year) You can't play for the kids and Depth has advantages. From what I have seen he did the best with what he had.

Without a doubt Cobble would be the best choice. He has had the number of every team Red Bank has played in their run of region 4-4a. He knows x's and o's well from what I understand. What is the old saying " a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" looks like a good young stable guy with the energy needed to infuse a program that is on the verge of imploding.

from what i hear Red Bank is the team to beat. a lot of offense back and 2 or 3 guys that were not eligble last year.

Any updates on this school and things are shaking out with the building and staff?

Winning Breeds jealousy is what it is looking like here. The guys at Red Bank are doing things by the book according to the article. Really Primetime "cheating for years" and all of your current players live in your zone. The staff at Red Bank is top notch in my book. Way to show the kids and others that would, and probably do let little things slip on by that there are those that do stand up and do things the right way. And for those that are jealous it looks like even when things are bad Red Bank still does it the right way.

I think if you play up in one you have to play up in all sports so I doubt if the rest of his school wanted to do that and I think that had to be presented before the board voted

What will happen if the Wonderful minds of hamilton County start closing schools will it change the district. Really instead of building a new school they could have just filled up a Tyner and Howard schools that are designed to hold a lot more students
