  1. prediction - last week I said OAKLAND in a close game but wished for a REBEL win... This week i see many BLAZE fans ( maybe not the players or coaches )looking past this FHS team - BEWARE you may get surprised.... The BLAZE back is a Barry Sanders, and as he goes so does the BLAZE - So the big question is can the Rebs defense bend and dont break? Blaze faithful you will be surprised at how well the FHS defense is agaisnt the rush ( yes they have not faced a stud like your back ) but they are a tought bunch of kids. REBEL QB, can throw the ball around as the 390 yds he put up vs. BRENTWOOD- but he does throw ALOT of picks! DYE, is back , getting his game legs and will help open up the passing game BLAZE defense/secondary has allowed 6 plus games allowing 200 yds passing , but that can be inflated due to them jumping out to big leads early on . . . . REBS will match em blow for blow but in the end too much Barry Sanders BLAZE bye 13 again i hope i am wrong - GO REBS !!!!! (and for the record i am an INDY supporter , so it hurts to say that )
  2. wish dyson would leave whom coaches Summit
  3. cmon man - REALLY REALLY REALLY, you all that bored you pretend or maybe you go and watch a practice- yeah cmon like either coach will even listen to what you have ... any REALLY to the poster whom stated blackman are going about things business like " are you some kind of expert of telling us how high school kids act .. what we do know is that like many Oakland fans last week, many of you are way overlooking the Franklin Rebs this week, i can tell you overlook them and get your season tickets for your basketball season...Yes a gambling man would put money on the Blaze, but they are a different team with Dye .....

  5. Kicker ,what the wife won't give you money to go to the game. Franklin will keep it close, but late Oakland score gives them the w. But cmon rebs
  6. down here where i live outside of Destin on HWY 30A in Santa Rosa Beach where my daughter attends high school and plays basketball the coach did this.... SANTA ROSA BEACH — South Walton High School football coach David Barron was arrested Wednesday on a charge of child abuse after allegedly striking a player twice in the throat during an October practice, according to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office report. The report also says that Barron taught his players to use tactics not within the rules of football and wanted them used in a game against a rival school. Read Barron's arrest report. » Barron, who is also the school’s athletic director, was booked into the Walton County Jail on Wednesday afternoon. He is scheduled for his first court appearance this morning. The charge he faces is a third-degree felony. According to the report, Barron instructed his players to use a hand thrust to the throats of opposing players and utilized a medical neck brace on his own players to practice the technique. The report said that the technique employed by Barron called for players to strike the throat of an opposing player with the part of the hand between the thumb and index finger and that Barron had asked the reported victim to use the thrust technique in the Seahawks’ game against Freeport on Oct. 8. Barron allegedly struck a Seahawk player twice in the throat in the same manner he had instructed his team after the player missed a tackle during a practice on Oct. 12. The report said Barron approached the victim “yelling and screaming profanities at him,†then tried to strike the player a third time, but the victim blocked his attempt. The Walton County Sherriff’s Office launched its investigation the next day on Oct. 13. “Football coaches traditionally serve as role models who teach students the value of discipline, competitiveness and sportsmanship,†Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson said. “Mr. Barron’s actions go far beyond the toughness expected in football.†The victim told investigators that Barron’s strikes were hard enough “that his eyes began to water and he had some trouble breathing for a short period of time,†according to the report. “It took courage for students to speak up when they knew someone they trusted was in the wrong,†Walton County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Mike Morrison said. “These acts could have caused severe bodily injury to students,†he said. “Football is an aggressive game, but it is still played with rules.†Barron declined comment Wednesday when contacted by the Daily News. Barron has not appeared on the Seahawks’ sideline since the incident, and two days after the launch of the Sheriff’s Office investigation, Maj. Graham Fountain reported that “the school system has reassigned the employee that the accusations were made against, pending the outcome of the investigation.†Walton County Superintendent of Schools Carlene Anderson said that no final decision had been made on Barron’s future with the school, saying that the board’s own internal investigation had not yet been completed. The police report stated that witnesses interviewed said they did not use the technique in the Freeport game because they felt “it was not proper.†Freeport coach Jim Anderson declined to comment on the matter. Barron arrived at South Walton in 2004 to take over as the team’s defensive coordinator. Then, one year later, he was named the Seahawks’ head coach and athletic director after the non-renewal of the contract of Steve Castle. In 2008, Barron guided the Seahawks to the program’s first-ever winning season, its first-ever district title and its first playoff win before being named the Daily News small school Coach of the Year. Last season, Barron led the Seahawks to a second straight postseason berth, capping a two-year run that saw the Seahawks post a 17-6 record. Prior to landing at South Walton, Barron had worked as an assistant on staffs at Walton (2001-04) and Niceville (1999-01) after being an assistant coach in Alabama with four different programs from 1977 to 1998.
  7. Indy turned it around , good job indy. Turned what around, beat a raptor and a lavernge team. Wishful thinking if that is what you call turned around ,they still are light years behind Franklin or brentwood, not to mention they still won't put up 24 points in a game next year with that great play calling of dyson. As stated in a post months ago and disbursed since you asked,no I didn't play in the NFL like air Kevin dyson but can say I am a proud alum I'd notre dame where I recieved a full football scholarship .....spent over 15 years at a Chicago catholic high school as an o cord. Son recruited to northwestern played l.b. for coach pat. So not as worthy as dyson but I put my time in unlike dyson, keep dreaming if you think indy is heading in the right direction
  8. Dyson put together a few wins, yeah beat a weak lavernge and raptor team. That indy play calling is fantastic, I have seen Franklin cowboy pee wee AAA coaches call better offensive games. Look the seniors as some have pointed out gave up on dyson,he can't make adjustments and he is out Is his league ............whatever young talent they have will be wastes by dumbson I mean dyson, I mean Dr.campbells man crush
  9. Wait we need to ask Chase ericson or aka cleve8fan
  10. Yeah a first year program with all underclassmen , but at least they played with heart and had a system in place,in addition they made game and half time adjustments let alone they scored points ........ dyson is clueless .it was pointed out eight td all year, one being a pick six, two others result of block punt drives of 18 and 9 tds respectfully... bye far worse indy team ever, cmon man 0.8 yds ave. rush versus Franklin
  11. Agree dyson is clueless, just because he can claim the music city miracle does not make him a good coach. Also the 2 jokers that are his boss need medication..... a few quality coaches applied and the man many wanted Webb from Franklin were bypassed for a coach with 2 years at glencliffe (wide receiver ) he was dismissed, 1 year at fra as a part time coach, and 2 year as db and wr coach indy yet named head coach, and even better a.d. Worst offense and play calling ever, a few different folks say he lost the seniors......
  12. Well safe bet the kid is not on the debate team....... system what system they have all summer and what 7 games into the system.its dysons peewee play calling system, lack of adjustments and him being out coached.u said seniors don't care, well that either says dyson can't control the team or the srs now he can't coach. 8 tds all year that includes a pick 6 and a blocked field goal at opponents 6 yd line scoring drive.those kids u named above ,sorry not good enough
  13. What -31 points for indy ,they have not scored that total for the year, or nor much more....:.......... indy offense is a joke thanks to dyson not able to call plays I'd make adjustments . A mere 0.8 yds ave rush vs. Franklin
  14. Indy kicker is one of tops in state.....only ihs points will come if fhs puts the ball on the ground .
  15. guys guys guys, ya have it all WRONG - instead of predicting how much FHS will win by the real test and your skill is INDY over / under 6 points I am saying under
  16. The only thing here is if indy kicker will boot a 45 yd field goal, eagles will get 2 field goals the real fun thing to whatch will be if indy quits and gives up after the rebs jump to a big league. Dyson give up the coach title.
  17. You said it what is up with indy offense... versus notice all fg and pick 6.... no way should cent. Or Columbia beat them.... all on dyson..... indy will get 2 fg this week and 100 yds total offense
  18. Futbol20 what are you drinking if you don't believe dyson didn't want the job....give me some time I will find the articles where dyson said it was his goal and dream to be a head coach . I can tell you for a fact that Webb wanted this job but Campbell soup and dyson had other ideas..... and all that applied what dyson and Campbell didn't think they were good enough........ its okay think what u may but to say dyson really didn't want this job is msnbc spin......
  19. Futbol ,I sent you a personal massgage because u mentioned your like or you are looking at northwestern (recall my son graduated last year from there) The personal message was to say good choice or I could help answer some questions.........wow a lol paranoid are we..........
  20. First Mack where did I bash someone's opionion.... and you don't bash and call names. I am simply calling it as I see it,consternation to you and some others. They have not improved as a team or a well coached team . Since the seigal game and each week you would expect them to be better prepared, have better x and o's, and overall adjust to everything. They have not one bit at all, they have not shown any ,in fact they are going backwards as the good coaches are figuring out dysons peeweee football playbook. They had all summer to prepare so don't blame it on coaching change. So after 6 games ,have they improved. Don't say give it time ,just answer. Time will come and we can talk next October but 6 games in has dyson improved as a coach. You urself Mack said some kids on offense want new play calling.....talent level comes and goes for most high school teams in cycles , some years you are lucky to have the baughs ,pettigrews and consiglios other years the talent dips. The good coaches stay level and you don't have the ups and downs dramatically. Like someone said brentwood no way has the talent per player to indy, but they have the coach and system in place. I'm sure it took Crawford time , and yeah I will give dyson time but my opinion is and will remain his system will never work.
  21. improve, they have not improved one bit since the opening game in fact they are going backwards! if Dyson cant get "passion and desire from his football players and he cant get players to believe in his system and cant behind him as a coach -DYSON HAS A MAJOR PROBLEM! ITS CALLED being a lame duck coach, when the players do that... NO one is / was expecting a gold ball -where did anyone say that? ( please look at preseaon threads it was clear that most if not all picked Indy from 2 to 4th )YOU SAY he gives everyone exactly what they need to become a great football player yet as i mentioned above from you own words, players dont believe in him and are not behind him...... Its not dogging Dyson it is what we see and after all is not coach T a place to voice OUR OPINIONS? i love how you say if you can do a better job get down here and do it - sure its that easy we will be right up sparky! I cant speak for the others , but since you were asking - i can tell you that I did play at a higher level than high school ball, spent close to 15 plus years as an offensive cord/assistant head coach for a chicago catholic school and my son just wrapped up last year playing at Northwestern so i feel i can put a least once penny in here. Fine Dyson is a good man that is great, maybe te is teaching them life lessons and after all they are way more important then the Wins and losses but it is what is it.yes a first year coach , but how did he get this title (let alone a title of A.D. and speaking of A.D. you cried he does not get enough sleep because he is head coach and the A.D. well i am sorry he decided to wear both hats -PLEASE stop sobbing over his working way too much, we have heros overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq that dont get sleep = he must not be too tired he has time for the radio????) HIS name and his name alone, cmon part time recievers coach at FRA, reciever coach at Glencliff before getting dismissed no time no zip notta as an offensive or defensive cord. he has not made any adjustments at all durning the game - he had a bye week to adjust for boro - did he ? again No ! so continue your love fest with him - as i said no one expected a gold ball i predicted a 2 or 3rd place spot. why do we bash, asides from showing us he has no coaching skills ( oops sorry i forget we need to be nice to him since its his first year and we need to give him time - good thing he is not a pilot of a plane huh we would crash) it also has to do how he got the job! do you think it will get better for him with Summitt cutting into his talent pool?
  22. So he is a good Christian man, and I can tell you so is the Pope. The team rolled over and QUIT at Oakland. Why does it take a coach to wait till mid season to make adjustments it changes. He had the bye week to get ready for hillsboro. What happened , the took two steps backwards on offense . No one expected him to raise the gold ball this year, they did expect him to challenge for a playoff spot.tell take sign they have not improved from their first game . Just because he is well liked dies not make him a good coach. Life will get harder when summit cuts into his program . Face it dyson has not put the time in to earn his position and they passed on a lot better coaches and that has some from the TD club upset .. sorry to say the eagles will not be soaring for a long time
  23. So riverdale and maryville talk about thier past. It's good to talk about smith and the team that was state runner up. If you are crying and stating it only hurts the current players when talking about coach smith , you and the players need to worry about bigger things like maybe score a touchdown. Never on Jason or scotts watch did thier teams roll over and quit. At Oakland stains team did. Halftime adjuatments need to be thrown into dysons vocabulary . But what do we expect from a coach with a few years on the sidelines as a w.r. coach. Most high school teams hit peaks and valleys but look at brentwood and the rebs, I would have thrown ravennwood is rector would have stayed. Give time to dyson is not an option as he is out of his league
  24. Smitty could gave stayed if he wanted but science hill offered a large amount of money and less much less teaching and basically him going thier as a coach, and he moved on due to his big ego.he did get interviwed for indy part two.
