  1. I have a kid that needs a 14 and under AAU team to play with this spring and summer. The kid is around 5'5", extremely athletic, and has a great shot. If you are interested please respond to this post.
  2. Kenneth "Spunky" White definitely needs to be added to this list!
  3. Don't be so modest. CAK has done great this season.
  4. According to Prepxtra's article the LC girls lost 2 players to transfer. I was wondering who these girls are and why they decided to leave LC. I think Joe Lee is a fantastic coach and teacher of the game and I cannot imagine them feeling they could play for someone better.
  5. Coach Wells has definitely served as a coaching upgrade for CAK. I think they can challenge for the distrcit title if they listen to Wells. Naler can flat out play! Alcoa has a good post and a solid guard. Both played in the Rocky Top Fall League. Loudon is a solid team with 3 good players in Haskins, Grimes, and Berry. Haskins played well in the Rocky Top Fall League. Kingston has a good young player in Huddleston that could develop into a good player in the years to come.
  6. Jordan Hall is by far the most talented freshman at LC. They did lose 1 kid to Loudon. He is talented but he is NO Jordan Hall. If my memory serves me correctly LC has 7 seniors and 2 juniors. Hall could easily start for them. They have several sophs that could develop into nice players: Billy Ault, Tyler Jones, and Nathan Lester along with freshman Jordan Hall.
  7. Yes the younger Ault has a ton of potential. He was one of the only underclassmen to play in the Rocky Top Fall League and he was able to hold his own with some of the best talent in East TN.
  8. GURU,i totally agree with the size issue in LC,but this kid plays harder and has more talent than any of the under classmen with exception of hall,i guess what i mean is, i would rather have a kid i could trust to handle the ball and make good decisions, rather than have two inches taller and not as good a player, the kid may be little but he can play, the other two that he got pulled for are way less talented.Coach Wells had him on the varsity last year,so he had to see something in him,and coach wells is a much better coach than windle. The way it looks is small guards is all they have after Thomas and Hood. What other choice do they have? Have you seen the LC underclassmen? Parkerson, Bair, Hall, Jones, and Lester are all as good if not better. Windle made the best decision to place Hilton on JV because he will have more time to develop the others. The kid is not a bad player but he lacks size. And besides if the kid was on varsity would it change their record? Wells is a great coach, but he might have done the same thing. Would you still think he was a great coach if that were the case? They have plenty of options: Park 6'0", Mabry 6'2", and Hall 6'0".
  9. Great observation dyron thanks for explaining the 6 second shot clock to us i dont know if we could figure that out for ourselves. Maybe you could tell us how the clinton kids looked in the rocky top league. Only 2 Clinton kids played in the league because football players aren't allowed to play. CJ Alred and Eric Meadows both played. Meadows was nowhere near ready to play that level of competition. It would be tough for any sophomore to match up with some of those athletes. CJ was one of the best players in the entire league. He really elevated his college stock. He showed that he can do more than just shoot.
  10. I'm from East Tennessee and their are several private schools in my area (CAK, Catholic, and Webb). I am good friends with the basketball coach at CAK and I know for a fact that he doesn't recruit. I know a freshman at Catholic that is a stud athlete in both basketball and football and he was not recruited. His parents chose Catholic for the academics and are not recieving any aid whatsoever. In fact they are paying more than the average student because they are not Catholic. In our area its the public schools that are the biggest recruiters.
  11. This was a good tournament. I saw several players that impressed me: 1. Jordan Hall (LC) 2. Terrence Hall (Knox Cath) 3. Ethan Hayes (AC) 4. #10 PG (Cookeville) 5. #5 PG (DB)
  12. How do you predict Harriman will perform this season. I've heard they have a ton of talent returning.
  13. Tyler Smith, one of the best players in East TN. He has a ton of basketball talent and athletecism. This combination makes him a special player. Allan Holt, a talented, hardworking big man. Tanner Torres a great shooting perimeter player. Overall not as much talent as the past 2 seasons, but this will be a better TEAM because they understand that they need each other. This will be Wallace's best coaching job yet.
  14. This is correct I don't understand how a team with that much talent only won 11 games last season. What do you think?
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Clinton have to vacate a win in football and several in basketball because they played an ineligible tranfer? Obviously it didn't matter in basketball because they were so terrible last year anyway. Seems to me that SOME Clinton fans should watch what they say about other schools and their "transfers". After all Clinton has been busted not Anderson County.
  16. Nix u are crazy, and a Dumb ####... Stone played last thursday and is playing along with all the other football players... CJ is a great player but i know Lockard wont let him run anything...... If im not mistaken u claim to be a clinton fan? maybe im wrong but u sure are always bashing their teams, fans, and now coaches!!!! Lockard a classes coach, thats the dumbest statement u have made... he is a great coach an his resume speaks for itself... he loves is players and they always play their butts off for him... what do u have to say about that??? NOTHING First of all no one implied that Coach Lockard doesn't know the game or have a good resume. I'll be the first to say that he knows the game of basketball. Unfortunately for him it isn't all about the game. A coach is supposed to be a positive example and role model to his players. I can't say that I've ever heard a former player say anything positive about their experience playing under him. The very positive aspects of Coach Lockard's coaching career are often overshadowed by the ignorance he displays on the sideline and in the locker room.
  17. Clinton's coach is truly one of a kind. He talks to players much worse than he does the officials.
  18. I apologize for jumping you like that. I guess I just didn't understand why you would respond to my post in that way. No, I'm not a Syracuse fan at all. I think Jim Boheim is a great coach but that's about it. I much prefer an uptempo, pressing style of defense to the snoozefest that is a 2-3 zone.
  19. didn't syracuse lose to DII La Moyne last night? Yes they did. I fail to see your point since Syracuse is a fixture in the top 25, has a national title, has players that are currently playing in the NBA, and has a great coach. Was it a bad loss? Yes it was. However, this one bad loss doesn't change all of their history. The Bottom line is that Oak Hill has the 4 seniors that I mentioned that are going to play for some of the best programs in the country and Siegal has a couple mid major players. Think before you post something stupid.
  20. I don't think bulking up has anything to do with Skylar's minutes. He's much stronger than Hopson or Tatum. He'll have to show that he can defend on the ball. He does a great job defensively off the ball as evidenced by the steals he's had in the exhibition games. He's a tough kid that was All-State in football as well as basketball. Much better athlete than most people realize. I'm not saying you're wrong about his strength. But from what I've seen he lacks the size that Hopson and Tatum have. I hope McBee has a great career in orange but with the highly touted recruits already committed and several others on the target list this could be his one and only moment in the spotlight.
  21. The only AA team in East TN that could POSSIBLY hang with Fulton is Carter. That is because they have 2 future D1 talents on their team in Wilson and Bennett. Wilson will give everyone a hard time on the inside because he's big, strong, and athletic. Bennett is as good a young player as I've seen in these parts in a while. He can do it all and he looks to be around 6'4" which could be the only difficult matchup Galen will see at his position prior to state. However, I think this matchup like all the rest will end in Fulton's favor because of coaching. Wright is great and he made a great off season hire when he hired former UT Vol Jon Higgins to be one of his assistants. Higgins will be a major asset to the 2 time state champion.
  22. You're an idiot! Camion does live with his legal guardian. He has for quite some time now. His home life is better now than it used to be. I think that's more important than your ignorant argument about his eligibility.
