Ok im ending this everybody stop the hating Walden is a better player than Rorex ive played against them both my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year... Rorex is good, but not the player that walden was. If Walden wasnt doubled teamed a lot he could have went for 25 on any given night. and yes the Catholic team last year is better than this years team hands down.

Yeah they are in first place in the worst district in east tennessee this year haha. this district was really good till this year now they have fallen off the map.

Yeah i think its a coaches decision why play your star players in games you can win easily without them... dont take a risk of getting them hurt.

Im not a Bearden fan, but im from East Tennessee and i played against Bearden quiet a bit over the past few years in my high school days and last year they beat us by 8 points (we should have won that game) i kinda despise them lol, but no his name is Dustin Craig and yeah he looks like a quarterback, but hes not i think he just concentrates on basketball.

Gonna go with the two teams outta state??? prob a good pick lol but idk im still thinkiing Bearden vs Boyd Anderson in the Final and i think Bearden is gonna win that game too.

In my opinion Bearden can play the best game theyll play all season, i think theyll still lose by 20 +... lets be realistic theyre playing a team where all 5 starters are going big D1, and a team who is playing top 10 nationally ranked teams and beating them by 10 12 points, i dont think theyre gonna have much trouble with the bulldogs.

Yeah Campbell County is stout in there district this year, but there district is down this year... Campbell County has one guard who is about 6'2 his names poteet and he can score anywhere from 20 to 40 on any giving night. theyll have to play some good defense on him, if they wanna win this one because if you let him score his 25 he has a good enough surrounding cast to win.... so limit poteet under 15 and they can win this game.

Yeah ive heard about Leslie McDonald i agree he is one of the best players in the state, never gotten to see him play though... and Braircrest may beat Bearden, I only see one game on Beardens schedule that i think is gonna be a for sure loss and thats against number 1 team in the Nation Oak Hill.

haha we will see i know bearden was missing a few players too if your talking about the summer tourney at ut... and bearden doesnt try unless they feel challenged, they just go through the motions, but that could be a big reason one of the teams sneaks up and gets them... i just think its hard to match up with a team (bearden) that has 5 starters over 6'5 and 4 of them r gonna play D1 if they really play hard.

Man i know where your coming from on that, he should get a lot more touches on the ball, but the thing he has to do is be more assertive in the post... hes gotta post harder act like he wants the ball, then when he gets the ball hes gotta use that 6'8 frame and get an easy score! Joe has a lot of potentail, but watching him play this year, ive seen he plays too nice like he doesnt want to hurt anybody accidentily by how big he is if you get what im sayin... (idk if yall watched Jared McGaha in football he played too nice and Joe Meady reminds me of him just in basketball)... Get mean!! lol.

I remember the 2006 team with tony white jr. (he was really really really really really really quick) lol and that team played raliegh egypt to an 8 point game in the state, and that was when raliegh egypt was ranked number 7 in the country.

Bearden is holding it down here in East tennessee just imagine they have no starter under 6'5 and theyre all D-1 prospects... a lot of dunks going on in these games.

Yeah i heard science hill played powell that year when they had the first conner brother and when powell was a good team and they took it to powell by almost a 100 the final was like 136- 48 or somethin. from what i hear that team was one of the best teams of all time in the tennessee area.

I hope big Meady can be a leader and get this team on the right track, but winning a state would be a very tough challenge, getting to state would be a very tough challenge actually just because AE is scary good this year! and fulton is gonna be right up there they know what it takes to bring home a gold ball... i c Carter having the potential to being a great team by the end of the year and making a run for it, but its gonna take a lot of hard work, ego adjustments, and determination to make it happen... they got the talent we all know that... they just got to figure out how to use all that talent as a TEAM, not me vs u ball, that only takes you so far such as beating the seymores, grangiers, and graces.

Yeah i know man i agree that he is a good player, but all im trying to say is you put a chris conner, or a tony white jr, or a great shooter like bewer from karns on a team like grangier theyre going to do the exact same thing hes doing. What i was trying to say if you put him on the same team he would go from great too pretty good because he wouldnt average 25 30 (however much it is) at a bearden oak ridge or powell of the past he would be a solid player and contribute about 15-18 points a game cuz he wouldnt get as many shots cuz he has good players surrounding him. and ill look at it in your opinion too... if he played at a better school he would have a better surrounding cast and he wouldnt have to work as hard to score cuz the other team couldnt just concentrate on skylar, but also if skyler mcbee happened to play at a big school it wouldnt be all about skylar he wouldnt have the hype/ recognition he gets at grangier, which he wouldnt have half the colleges that are looking at him now still looking at him if he played at a big school cuz his numbers wouldnt be off the page and outstanding they would be good numbers and that wouldnt get big colleges interested in a 6'1 shooter (theres been several of those thats came through knoxville bewer, roth, seymore (he averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds shot 44 % behind the arc as a guard and didnt go big), and ryan walden was a good guard about 6'1 if you put him at a small school he does the same thing as skyler. BUT DONT GET ME WRONG ABOUT THIS SKYLAR IS A REAL GOOD PLAYER I BELIEVE HE CAN HOLD HIS OWN WITH D1 PLAYERS NO DOUBT HES A GREAT SHOOTER AND THATS WHAT MAKES HIM STAND OUT. I THINK HE SHOULD PLAY D1. put yourself in colleges shoes they here about a kid whos 6'1 pure shooter whos scoring 30 35 a game hitting 5 or 6 threes a game whos stats are off the chart at Grangier. Then say if he played at bearden this year they would here about demonte and everybody else on that team but they would also here about a kid who hits a 2 or 3 threes a game a pure shooter... averaging 17 18 points whos only 6'1. honestly who would yall look at??? But this thread is about Carter basketball, so im gonna get back to talking about that... Things are looking up after this last game, but saying that things cant really look down considering what theyve done this year.

65-28 hahahah wow! to be honest skylar mcbee shoots every other time down the court i hope he could average as much as he does after watching him in high school ball hes a good player but way way to hyped up, put him at a school thats good like an oak ridge and he wont be near the player he is at grangier cuz he wont be shooting the ball as much, dont get me wrong he would still be good, but not great.
