Here is what I posted for last year. I usually try to update the fb page closer to season after coaches have formed up their dates. I assume most should stay on the same weekends for next season. Yes, the TN Ironman, Kellar Classic and FreeStyle State will have a girls division. Ironman for girls will have Folkstyle and Freestyle, with Greco exhibitions for anyone wanting to give it a go. If any female wrestlers are interested in going to Nationals in OKC and would like to be part of the Tennessee Team please contact me. Last year we took 36 girls for the individual tournament and entered 2 teams in the duals finishing 7th. We will also take girls to 6 other girls tournaments including Fargo, the World Team Trials and 1 international tournament. OKC is our most significant girls tournament because it is also a college tournament and every college is there with tables for recruiting. The camp has been moved to NorthWest High School in Clarksville. Unfortunatly the HVAC units failed at the Clarksville facility and need to be replaced. Considering the practice room was 85 degrees last night we needed to find another facility. NorthWest was kind enough to let us use there facility at the last minute. I am located in Johnson City but I am taking anyone that wants to go. I wouldn't be posting on here if I wasn't. We are also having regional practices. Do you have someone interested in going?

The girls will be traveling with us. If a girl would like to travel on their own we would be their to coach her and can compete as part of team TN in the duals or on a pool team on Sunday. Either way we will be their to coach them if needed. So far we have 17 signed up.

Girls Nationals is March 23rd-26th. If there are any more girls interested in traveling with us please let me know asap. We want to take as many girls as we can that are interested in wrestling in college or improving themselves. Doug Badon 423-335-3045

The quality of wrestling is improving across the state every year with many girls competing year round. There are several girls that are very impressive overall as a wrestler devoid of their gender.

There is also an Elementary School on the campus and positions at other schools in the county. https://sullivan.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx Sullivan South Wrestling has its own facility and is fed by a growing and fiscally sound feeder program that also has paid coaching positions available. WOTR and USA freestyle regionals is the only thing I have found. http://www.waroftheroseswrestling.com/ The closest tournament was in South Carolina. There isn't a huge turnout but the level of competition was good and my girls got as many matches as they wanted. One of them getting 7 matches. You are more than welcome to travel with us to tournaments or camps if you would like. 423-335-3045
