  1. I like all these attacks on WG now because he won't tell anybody about Indy's problems dealing with Brennan Cox. It's amusing how just that little thing can turn into a huge thing against him. If you want to know so bad and then you shouldn't have a problem asking Coach Grindstaff. I believe somewhere I saw his email listed, but whats with all the attacks now? In my opinion, now this is just mine, saying that somebody's brother got 3rd in the NCAA and that they will be wrestling 125 doesn't sounds like gossiping and spreading rumors as much as telling everyone something that they do not need to know. WG said that Cox left on his own degrees, leave it at that, you know Cox is gone and could possibly be back, possibly not, I do not think that it is yours, mine, or anyone's business on what is going on with Brennan, the coaching staff, or the Indy wrestling team for that matter. I say leave it be, and see what happens, grow up and move on. You don't need to attack a young man because he won't tell you want you would like to know. PRT iii
  2. I have seen the tape.. 1. Caldwell was winning by 1 with those 8 seconds left. 2. When they went out of bounds Caldwell clearly landed flat on his face, and laid there for a good minute, the trainers were for sure called out there. 3. Concussion or not, the last thing as a coach we want you to do is to tell the trainers that you have a concussion, Caldwell got up and wrestled the remaining seconds of the match and got taken down to lose. 4. Not trying to take anything away from Jeff, because he is a phenominal wrestler, who is going to be competing for the title this year, however in my opinion of watching the match, it looked obvious that Mr. Caldwell was stumbling a little while walking back to the middle, and could barely keep his balance. 3. Not sure if it is true or not, however, I was told that Caldwell was up by 1 with 5 seconds left and his opponent went to throw him out of bounds and Mr. Caldwell hit his head flat on the mat and received a concussion, and then got taken down in the remaining 5 seconds to lose the match. Lots of heart shown by a great wrestler to go out there and finish it with a concussion, keep it up! PRT iii
  4. They are also worn by men, wrestling in the state finals. PRT iii
  5. None of the college teams that the Baylor Alumni have attended wore the tights. Its obviously a team thing. Wearing tights has nothing to do with the quality of wrestler you are, obvoiusly seeing how Baylor in general has produced more state champs then any other team in the past decade, wearing tights. So I think its pretty safe to say that they are not wearing them to "up" their quality of wrestling, because they're already great wrestlers. PRT iii
  6. Clarksville is at the Franklin Tourney this weekend.
  7. Hey FHScoach, do you know if matcontrol will have the brackets finished and on the site at some point today before weigh ins?
  8. NWCA- national wrestling coaches assiociation NCWA- national collegiate wrestling association
  9. I say wait till after this weekend to see how Caldwell does, then everyone will be able to say if they think he should be ranked or not, this is a big weekend for him. As for Greer, he is a great wrestler without a doubt, but I have seen his conditioning get him in trouble on more then one occasion, this much he should really get straightened out before febuary, this isn't 103 or 112 anymore. However, I question how he would've bumped up to face Feuerbacher if Eric has been 125 all year. None the less good luck to all this weekend, should be a good one! PRT iii
  10. 140 looks to be a pretty stacked weight class here. Also throw in another name, Hoovers Jackson Poe to the list there, he decisioned Caleb Little (Independence) in the Huntsville finals and decisioned Mark Marchetti (Father Ryan) last week at the Cleveland duals so it should make to be an interesting turn out for that weight class. Also Hoover has got a very good 171 from what I saw at Cleveland Duals that I believe will give Mr. Manning a run for his money in the finals. Should be a great one this weekend, good luck to all participating! PRT iii
  11. okay for one, you need to work on some grammar, and spelling. two, flaming eagle is just stating an opinion, and supporting his team. he believes that they are a great team this year, and so far he is yet to be proven wrong, they're undefeated so far. strength of schedule does not matter at all. did you know that the 1972 dolphins faced only two teams that had a winning record, and both those teams weren't that good. they still won the championship. state your opinion, but don't shoot others down, because theres always a chance at a title. PRT iii
  12. Well, having read results and facebook status's, there are plenty of kids that went undefeated, way to many to list, but I'll some until my brain hurts... Aaron Lopez-Cleveland Marvin Lopez-Cleveland Austin Woods-Franklin Zach Bennett-Franklin John Shrader-Franklin Brennan Cox-Independence Caleb Little-Independence TJ Duncan-McCallie Michael Hooker-McCallie Chase Martino-McCallie Nick Gray-Christion Brothers Tate Robinson-Christian Brothers Chris Agnew-Father Ryan Billy Swanson-Soddy Daisy Campbell Lewis-Soddy Daisy plenty more as well i believe.. 13. Okay I would have to disagree with this part, yes he did have a bad night, but to say he is a better wrestler then both Johnson and Woods is a bold statement. He lost to Johnson, who's to say that Johnson didn't have a bad night as well? To say that somebody is a better wrestler then somebody else when in the past they have already lost to them is a bold statement. Say I take state and the kid I beat in the finals was sick, in the end I am still the state champ. SO, in the end, Johnson and Woods are better wrestlers until proven otherwise. None the less, Campbell is a fantastic wrestler who I think would give both of these guys a run for there money, however, to say that he is better then both of them, after he lost to one, and the other beat the kid he lost to, is a very bold statement. I would however like to see Austin and Campbell go at it, I got my money on Austin. PRT iii
  14. because kaleb baker is a fargo all-american, defeated aaron lopez handely in my opinion at freestyle state this summer. it's probably considered an upset to alot of people actually. none the less both great wrestlers who will be searching for their first state titles this year! PRT iii
  15. Jerricho Crutcher (Bradley Central) lost to Eric Feuerbacher (Blackman) PRT iii
  16. Soddy Daisy, check. Collins Hill, still to come! PRT iii

  18. 9-0, future state champs baby, they can't stop us! PRT iii
  19. my pool predictions: Pool 1 1st Collins Hill 2nd Woodland 3rd Walker Valley 4th Thompson I feel like this pool is a given. Pool 2 1st Father Ryan 2nd Soddy Daisy 3rd Hoover 4th Science Hill I think Father Ryan edges Soddy in what could be the biggest match of the night. I also see Hoover edging Science Hill in a very close match but I think Hoover comes out on top do to getting the extra points. Pool 3 1st Christion Brothers 2nd Franklin 3rd Cleveland 4th Rome After the way CBHS wrestled at the Blackhorse I dont see them losing any duels here. I also see Franklin defeating Cleveland this year in a close duel. Pool 4 1st Independence 2nd McCallie 3rd Parkview 4th Sanorville I saw that Indy won the Huntsville Tournament over Bob Jones this past weekend, and heard somewhere that Bob Jones had beaten McCallie this year. Also researched Parkview, couldn't find any returning State Placers. Finals: Father Ryan upsets Collins Hill in the finals, I believe this duel could go anyway but I feel like Father Ryan is a very solid team this year with few holes. 34-33 PRTiii
  20. McCallie lost to Bob Jones a while back..
  21. I have heard that Tyler Adams (140-Kingston) is out due to injury, no confirmation on whether this is true or not. PRT iii
  22. I was out of town and unfortunently had to miss the dual, does anyone possibly have the results? thanks, PRTiii
  23. WrestlingGod is correct, you are allowed BUT there are certain rules in place. It has to be tight fitting, underarmor. But also, it cannot have more than one brand on it. If its not tight fitting fingers can get caught in them and fingers could break.
