  1. Where's Valdosta now. The can't even when there district. Lowndes High School owns that district. If you are familiar with GA H.S. football, then you should know that the Region (not district) that Valdosta and Lowndes play in, is probably one of the toughest in the State of Georgia and in the Southeast (Lowndes, Valdosta, Warner Robins, N.S. Warner Robins, Colquitt Co., etc!!!). Valdosta did have a pretty good season this year (making the playoffs). And since this is a Wing T post, I guess I should add the fact (as mentioned in a previous post) that Lowndes Co. is the team in that Region with the Wing-T. And for reference, Lowndes Co. did not own that Region this year, Northside Warner Robins won it. As stated earlier, its not about Xs and Os, its about Jimmys and Joes!
  2. The wing T wins plenty of state titles....They may not be in TN, but the wing T has won plently of titles in states that have much tougher H.S. football teams than TN...Look at schools in Georgia and Florida(where HS football is much more competitive): Lowndes Co., Camden Co. (both are national powerhouses!), Riverdale (Miami), and many many more!!! Its not about Xs and Os, its about Jimmys and Joes!
  3. to get stomped by INDY INDY WILL ADVANCE TO BWOOD. INDY HUGE AGAINST FRANKNITTY PROBABLY BY 6 TDS Wow! Already looking to next round! I believe the Hunter's Lane advocates made that mistake! If I were a fan of either team (Indy or B'Wood) I would certainly worry about tomorrow night first! I would refer some of you to a previous post about the history between Dickson Co. and B'Wood. I think that Dickson Co. fans enjoy teams looking past them and taking them for granted. Believe me...this game will be MUCH closer than you B'Wood (and Indy) fans think!
  4. HL will be alot better than the competition that DC chose to play this year. I'd say HL by 17. Coachfoozeball: I am not taking you with me to Vegas!!!
  5. I believe when you guys were 5A which is now 6A the "powers" did beat you guys Melrose was one time 5A for a little while and guess what: not out of the first round! Check your history before you pound on your chest and yell at someone who never said anything bad about YOUR TEAM! I said you guys are good, just no one else in 10AAA is very good. So crawl back under your rock and walk through another 10AAA team this Friday. Also, curious: When is the last time a team from Memphis made it to the state? So, I would guess those powers are doing fine when they play your MEMPHIS Schools Mitchell was in the title game LAST YEAR, so CHECK YOUR FACTS!. Melrose was in the title game in 2005 and 2004. Germantown was there in 2003. Ridgeway was there in 2002. East was there in 2000 and 1999. MUS is there every other year it seems and CBHS has been there in this decade. What's your point? Who is YOUR team? Those are two great questions! Coachfoozeball obviously has made NO point yet! Every single one of his posts seemed to be directed toward D.C. So, I am gonna assume that he has no team (or no knowledge of H.S. football at least), but once was a fan of Dickson Co. I am gonna have to agree with morethanxando and say that this guy was applied for a job as a coach at Dickson Co. and was turned down! Thus, he has some built up anger against them and anyone they play! He clearly couldn't be a true fan of any team, because most fans have SOME knowledge of how H.S. football works. He has yet to point out the numerous other teams with worse records that are in the 6A playoffs! I don't even know if he knows that. He just needs to stop posting, because each post makes him seem like he less and less informed.

  7. wouldn't be much of an upset, but I will say that Dickson Co. has the potential to beat Hunter's Lane. Dickson Co. is used to seeing the ole Wing T and should be ready for it Friday.
  8. I've seen both schools play. NE is very athletic and fast. I think that it will be a MUCH closer game than what you are predicting. I'm not gonna say that NE will win, but I'm gonna say its gonna be a one score game.
  9. My fault...all of those records posted on your first post indicate that the last WC spot would go to a 6-4 team...it will go to a 4-6 team, so SF may get in....If your assumptions are correct for the 5A and 6A playoffs, SF would make it 7 teams from district 10AAA to be in the playoffs. That's a lot of teams from one district to be in the playoffs.
  10. Springfield is 4-6, not 6-4 (TSSAA must have their record confused), so it won't be them for the last Wildcard spot
  11. See the links below: http://tssaa.org/footballplayoffs/ http://tssaa.org/footballplayoffs/wildcard.cfm?class=6A
  12. From what I know about Dickson Co., they should take this game fairly easily, but who knows! They should have definately beaten a Clarksville NW team that they were much better than and whom they outgained in total offense, but that didn't happen, thanks to 5 fumbles on potential scoring drives. I do know they are banged up with some injuries, but I still expect this team to compete for the District Championship with Henry Co. and make the 6 A playoffs. Don't know much about Springfield, but I have seen some scores vs. similar competition. My bet Dickson Co. 35 Springfield 17.
  13. Changes to the offensive scheme! What changes could you expect? They doubled their offensive production in one year last season! Why would any changes be neccessary. I think the coaches did a great job of designing a system that will fit the kids they had! They played a kid at quarterback who never played there before, because they had NO ONE ELSE, and he did a great job. Grant it, he threw a lot of interceptions, but what do you expect from a kid whose never played there before and he truly is a RB! I have no clue where they are going to find a QB to run the Tony Franklin system. I am all for this new coach, but when people (not coaches) try to critique football and give opinions about what should work and what shoudn't it is hilarious! Is obvious you didn't watch much EH football the past two seasons.
  14. I am not saying that Wayne Co. will win the district! I feel that they will compete. I do believe after observing the game and others in the district I have seen that CA is head and shoulders better than the other teams in the district. I have noticed other posts that state East Hickman may have a good chance to win the district. I do not think that they have a chance to win the district after watching them play. They are not fast enough on offense and seem to play selfish at times and their defense makes too many little mistakes. (This is just from what I saw). I do know that they are a pretty good team, just not as good as some of the players think....By players, I mean the players that I have seen post on other threads.
