These are my predictions for the Quads in 2A You never know with TSSAA....But this is what I came up with Quad 1 Should Look Like: 1--Oneida 2--Hampton 3--Grace Christian 4--Boyd Buc 5--Rockwood 6--Meigs County The only way North Greene gets in is if Cosby loses to Unaka. Quad 2 1--Marion County 2--Midd TN Christian 3--Jackson County 4--Trousdale 5--Whitwell 6--EagleVille Quad 3 1--Forrest 2--Riverside 3--Huntington 4--Mt Pleasant 5--Scotts Hill 6--Lorretto Quad 4 1--Trinity Christian 2--Adamsville 3--Peabody 4--McKenzie 5--Hillcrest 6--Mitchell Im sure this is not accurate. Just something to discuss. Many things can change depending on the outcome of this week's games. Enjoy

Grace will have to put a little more $$$ in the recruiting budget with Alcoa coming into the District next year!!! Takes a much better athlete to compete on that level!!!

Good win for the Tigers. Kees=Weak Sauce I was wondering what all the fuss was about. Extremely hard to be as good as everyone thought they were when they graduated the best player in the district IMO.

This happens every year. All State teams are chosen and people complain that certain kids are not on them. The people that pick these teams can only choose from the nominations that are sent to them. The reason many kids do not get recognized is because their lazy coaches don't take the time to send in the nominations.

FL is single as well

He is absolutely NOT paid to coach. He is paid as an educator. Being a coach of any sport is only supplemental pay. I'm willing to bet his coaching stipend is about 10-15% of his teaching salary. Derek Dooley is paid to coach, not high school guys. Harriman has also struggled recently in other sports: Basketball record last year--9-19 Baseball record last year--6-23 WHY????? Most likely because most of the same athletes are participating in all 3 major sports. If you look at their athletic programs in the previous few years they were pretty dang good: 2008-2009: Basketball(14-16) Lost in Regional Tournament Baseball--Dist. Champs...Lost in Regional Semi Football 7-5 Lost in Quarter Finals 2009-2010: Basketball(20-11) State Tournament Appearance Baseball(18-17) State Tournament Appearance Football 5-6 Lost in 1st round of play-offs 2010-2011: Basketball(23-8) Lost in Sub-state game Baseball(14-18) Lost in Sub-state game Football 3-7 It is cyclical. Always has been. Just part of small public HS sports. Coaches coach and players play. A good run of athletes will make a group of coaches look very smart. A run of not so good athletes will..........well you know the rest.

Boyd won't make it outta the quad. Grace is bigger, stronger, and faster than Boyd even without McKamey. That's if they survive the reservation next Friday.

Been to the swamp 3 outta the last 4 years. Yes RW is 0-3, but by far last night's team comes in a distant 3rd!! If you are talking about Gold Ball Potential or even Semi-Finals.......I'm saying Weak Sauce.

Boyd has NOBODY on the field as athletic as Seymour from GB. Boyd=average football team. Oneida will roll.

BB has 3-4 good athletes. #78 on Def is massive, definitely a presence in the middle. But as a team, average at best. IMO RW struggled to tackle all night. BB made big plays when they had to. Congrats to Boyd, but the ride will prolly end next Friday.

Anything can happen fellers. RW going in with nothing to lose being the little old 6-4 team against the might 9-1 Quad!! Stay focused. Had BB on the ropes last year. Just need to finish!! BTW.....why is the field/facility referred to as "the swamp"??? I was only aware of one "swamp". Which is located in Gainesville, FL.

Rockwood has yet to put together a full game against a quality opponent. Outplayed Grace and Kingston, but turnovers at crucial times. Played Greenback tough for a half, but turnovers and defensive miscues left the game out of hand. They will have to go to Boyd with same game plan as last year. Minus trading TD's for FG's and a kickoff return for a YTD. Formula will work, but has to be executed to perfection.

So.............What some of you are saying is: Grace with 316 raw enrollment.......with multiplier 569. Will continue to be 2A in football, and 1A in every other sport???? If this is the case.......then what's the point in having a multiplier??? and more importantly, why worry what the multiplier number is???? Why not just say every private school will move up 1 class in football, and use raw enrollement for all other sports??? Why have and pass regulations, if TSSAA is not going to follow them??? I don't know, maybe I'm confused......

What about Knoxville Catholic. 2009 Actual Enrollment--624 With Multiplier--1123 They had a AA enrollment, but competed in 5A football.

I am a huge supporter of public schools over private. I totally agree on all you boys have said debating the disadvantages of publics, and all advantages that the privates have. Although........I'm not sure a total split will solve all the problems. 1--If the total split happens, the privates will "throw their suckers in the dirt" and all withdraw from TSSAA, and create their own league and championships. if number 1 happens 2--if they are no longer members of TSSAA, then the recruting will become RAMPANT.....all bets are off, and there will be nothing TSSAA can do about it. I think the best decision would be to increase the multiplier, with no limit on class jumps. If you want to charge tuition, then go get a piece of the big boys. Leave the small town public schools to playing eachother and enjoying the competition. Just my 2 pennies boys

I don't think GB necessarily wants to be playing RW this Friday. Always tough to dial it up 2 weeks in a row. That's what the Kees will have to do in order to get a win this week. I think RW will be more of a challenge than most are giving them. I know they struggled early, but other than the Seqouyah game(Different QB) they outplayed every opponent they have faced. If RW can control the ball and the clock, GB will get all they want from the Tigers. I know GB's running game is good with Seymour, but they may need to throw the ball in order to inflict damage on the Tigers. RW's pass defense has been suspect at times, but any time a HS team has to throw(other than CAK).....I give the edge to the DEF. RW 20 GB 13

Reality finally sets in for the Jackets. Only team they've played with a pulse should have beat them(RW). The beginning of what will be a 6-4 or 5-5 Season for Kingston.

Exactly.....Maybe the SOR people should keep their mouth shut.......Instead of running their coach off!!! Especially since he is now the new Sweetwater coach. Who BTW is 4-0!!! I just chuckle every time Midway gets another beating and Sweetwater wins!!!

The reason they are playing LL now is because Good-ville was kicked out of Dixie Youth for cheating. They were violating the area zones from where they were getting players. So they'll all prolly end up at Friendship.

Oh, the mentality is there. Coach Webb will make sure of that. They will be well prepared. They will hustle. They will work their tails off. But, mentality doesn't win games. Making plays wins games. RW will have to do this in order to win. Physically, I see both teams very even. I still think it comes down to RW's Defense.

Kingston should roll in this one. OZ just lost way to much last year to be able to compete this year. Should be a no doubter by the 4th qter OZ--13 Kingston--35

Not sure about Grace. That one is at home for the Tigers, so maybe......but still a long shot. Not easy when 2 of the 3 toughest games are on the road. Kingston and Greenback are tough places to win. RW better come out sharp this Friday. Seq. has quite a few good players back, if RW comes out flat and has to play from behind......you will be looking at a repeat performance from last year. Being at home will help, but still have to make plays.
