Does the game count? Who gets the win? Will it have to be replayed? Since it is a district game it would have to have an official outcome. Just wondering what they do about a situation like this.

The Santa Fe vs. Ezell Harding game will be played as scheduled with the start time for the girls game being 7:00. Tomorrows game between Lewis County and Ezell Harding will be played as scheduled with the start time remaining at 4:30. A decision on the Santa Fe vs. McEwen game will be made tomorrow afternoon to see if the ice melts off the roads.

I am interested in attending the Giles County vs. Bradley Central Game this saturday, and I was wondering are they presellling tickets? If so how do you get them? Do you expect them to sell out Martin Methodist Gym? If I show up at game time do you expect seats to be available? Also are they excepting TSSAA passes?

Santa Fe is hosting a Christmas Classic December 29 and 30. Teams are Santa Fe, Collinwood, Eagleville, and Whitwell.

I think we need to talk about what makes a good pitcher. Many times a girl can be called "the best" simply because she was on a dominating team. The "best pitcher" should be a person who exemplifies great speed, great breaking pitches, great control, a winning attitude, and gives off an air of dominance. Strike outs, earned run average and hits given up are all determined by other factors like who you play and who you don't play. I congratulate all the girls mentioned in the previous posts. You have obviously done something to make these people vote for you as the "best pitcher".

Most coaches that have never pitched are the ones that need to get to know their pitcher. I believe that it is o.k. for pitchers to pitch batting practice, but only if they are working on their pitching. They should never ever pitch in a situation that doesn't require them to focus on thier pitching. Just like in hitting, it is not good for a batter to swing the bat and talk to a teammate at the same time. As they are talking, they are developing bad habits like dropping their hands. Pitchers work very hard to develop the correct technique and to ask them to pitch half speed is taking away everything that they have worked on for the past year. I agree that batting practice and pitching practice can be made into a game. (Good post earlier) Utilize all your pitchers during batting practice because you never know when someone will get hurt. Also, have one pitcher work on a certain type of pitch and at another station have another pitcher work on a different pitch. Or try having your team practice bunting off of live pitching. The more you can make your practices like game situations the better they will get at the game. One more thing, please don't make your pitchers throw to a batter without a catcher. Many people don't understand that pitchers need a target. When we look at the catcher, we don't see the glove, we see one big blur. Without the blur, it feels like we are pitching from 60 ft. and it throws off a pitcher's timing and technique.

Joseph Carter averages 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while Boo Boo Hutcherson averages 15.5 points and 11.6 rebounds per game for Santa Fe.

Joseph Carter should be added to your list of the top senior players. He has scored over 1250 career points and has over 800 career rebounds. He is currently averages 15.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 1.5 steals, 1.5 assists and 2 charges taken a game. He is 6'3" 197 lbs. with an outstanding vertical leap. He is extremely quick, stong, and athletic. He is great defensive player probably one of the best in the state (I would say there are very few players in the entire state that averages taking 2 charges a game to go with 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals). He has 3 point range shooting (33% behind the arc making about 1 per game) and can do some nasty dunks. He could probably score more points but he is a very unselfish player on a good team with other good players who can score (4 players on the team average over 10 points a game). He helped lead his team to a 25-8 record and substate berth last year, and this year the team is currently 11-3. I don't know if college recruiters pay any attention to your rankings or not but I definely think that Joseph deserves to be on your list. Also Boo Boo Hutcherson a 6'1" post player is an outstanding high school player who leads the team with 15.6 points and 11.6 rebounds deserves some consideration. These two players have played summerball with some of the area players you have on your list and the are at least as good as some of them and probably better than most of them. Joseph Carter for Santa Fe surpassed the 1000 point mark last year as a Junior. He has over 1200 career points now.

Santa Fe and McEwen are not in the same district. The schedule on CoachT is wrong to have the D beside the game. Santa Fe is in district 12 A. I think McEwen is in district 10A. They are not in the same region either. They could however play each other in the sectional.

Who determines all american status and is this associated with the NFHS? Someone had to pick these people. Did they get something in the mail from a particular company or was it voted on by a committee? Pleases tell me more about this.

Is there such a thing as an All American in high school? I heard that a previous player from TN made All American, but I didn't think we had such a thing.
