  1. Close one whoever shows up in the 2nd half. Which'll be Brentwood like someone said before Bruins wont lose twice in a row.
  2. It'll happen, Indy last year wanted to spoil a playoff bid for Ravenwood at Ravenwood, Raptors won 14-7 in a sloppy game. So Indy will look to return the favor at Eagles Stadium and go to the playoffs. Ty Lah, DJ Meek, and Bryce Steyer all day baby.
  3. Agreed. I say just like the past couple years; Rutherford county vs. Williamson County. The three teams from each county who will probably get in (order of which teams i think are the best); Blackman, Oakland, Brentwood, Riverdale, Franklin, and Indy. In the playoffs throw out all the regular season stats and records. Youve seen and played against eachother in the regular season and its a much closer game in the playoffs. Other than the two counties, Ooltewah looks to be a favorite, and Maryville as a sleeper.
  4. Heard that, just adds fuel to the fire, if they did anything they just hurt themselves and motivate Indy Nation more! Smooth move, Franklin.
  5. YOUR A COMPLETE JOKE i would say that Independence and Franklin are pretty much in the same boat as far as playoff spots are concerned! Indy looking to keep their playoff hopes alive? and franklin winning the district? i think your on weed...This pretty much determines who finishes second in the district unless somehow, franklin pulls off a miraculous victory over brentwood! Agreed on the last sentence hundred percent.
  6. The only one here being arrongant is you my friend. Im sure if Franklin or Brentwood had a down year and went 5-5 or something out of the ordinary, which is highly unlikely, People wouldnt show up to spend $5 to see a team have a small chance of winning. Every high school is full of front runners its what makes up about 50% of schools student sections. And most of all the reasons why we have a good team, also with a good hostile enviroment, is because the INDY students and players want it bad this year. Ever since the Brentwood game, players and students were shocked to see a turn around of barely losing to Brentwood from last years horrible outcome; i think we can all agree Indy has improved since losing to Brentwood couple weeks back.
  7. Yea i dont get that, Franklin i say is the last true test for sure, but Columbia is a big game dont want to be on the first team to lose to Columbia.
  8. Funny you mention that... The Thompson Station/ Spring Hill / Franklin area has boomed since ive moved here 8 years ago and continues to grow with more and more farm land turing into more pricey neighborhoods and shops. Plus another High School and middle school is set to be built in the next 5 years or so in Thompson Station. I think it has to also deal with a lot and i mean a lot of people (people i mean families with high school kids) moving to Williamson Co. from states like California, Texas or Florida, where football is a religion to most.
  9. Yes record is 4-2; key players Brett Meeker RB for Indy, Indys D-Line and Alex Heckman (obvisously) Columbia never does a good job of defending the run and hasnt seen a true running attack this season, lets see if Indy's wing-t formation works against Columbia. As for Columbia never playing anyone, not entirely true, they defeated a very good 5-2 Spring Hill team 25-6. Whose streak will continue? Will it be eight straight for the Loins or 5 straight wins against Columbia for Indy?
  10. Mistakes, mistakes and mistakes are what made this game so close. Plus emotion totally added a fuel to Hillsboro's fire it was their homecoming and last home game. If Roland never fumbled the kickoff return it wouldnt of been an 11 point defficent, but like Coach Eubanks said after the game "If we keep having close games like this im going to die young man, someone better know how to do cpr..... But not only me but all of these people out here that came to watch you guys play are waiting for this team to play at your potenial" #11 was a very versitile QB for the Burros, unlike Vince Young he actually checks his recievers then tucks it and runs Alex Heckman has improved tremedously, with great composure under pressure plus Cory Surtain made a heck of a catch on one of the drives to the last 3:00 of the game. highlights of the night other than the game; that the Freshman class won the float contest, Burros student section guys on their last TD tryed to run around Indy cheerleaders on the track and couple of the guys got tripped by cheerleaders. Then when they walked back, to catch their little lungs breath, to do their pushups instead of doing 25 they did around 11 (maybe thats why they lost), the white truck who was going pver 25 mph on the track and got yelled at by a metro cop and they argued for a good 5 mintues (probably got a ticket), and props to whoever that guy was who actually full out ran those two laps and actually lapped those Burros s.s guys.
  11. Getting back to District 11, Ravenwood has the slightess chance of getting to the playoffs, and that would have to start tomorrow against Franklin, which i think they could actually give the Rebels a run for their money if Rebels are just goofing off. But the only thing left is to see who ends up where. Its obvisous that Brentwood will finish 1st (or maybe 2nd) but Franklin and Indy are fighting for either 2nd placeor wildcard.
  12. Ravenwood is due for a good competitive game this'll be close if R'wood can stop the Rebels run game and get Tony Rowland good oppritunities to score.
  13. If your comparing victories to other teams then Franklin and Indy both beat Centennial 21-0. Hillsboro lost to Franklin due to a good running game. Thats pretty much what Indys game plan is so expect a huge Eagles win. Also first meeting, football, between the schools. Indy scores 20+, Hillsboro will probably score a touchdown or two. 23-10 Indy wins.
  14. Heckman might have ran the ball eight times but i know for a fact he threw the ball more than once, plus the Tennessean (countrys worst state newspaper), said Centennial didnt lose any fumbles.... Thats how the Eagles scored their first touchdown by Turnbull returning it for 6. Who ever they are getting the stats from Eagles games lately sucks and obvisously doesnt pay attention, screwed up last weeks MBA score, and never even got the brentwood game stats in the paper... High school journalism students could do a better job. As for what 'ilovecfb1' said, so true. Boring, and that sign was awesome. I have never gone to Centennial's football field before.... wow. People doing the concessions were nice but the field care suxed. It looks like they practice on it during the week, so many holes and what not. Plus so many Centennial fans were walking around our student section and saying wow i wish we were like this, or i wish we were sanctioned for Indy.... Centennial's student section didnt even tailgate, i dont know if that was just because they were wimps and tought it would rain or if not wow no school pride... Hmmm.... both Franklin and Independence played chs and won by the score of 21-0, interesting... Something to look forward to
  15. Oh wow, well first things first sarahpalin, that is what they call a preseason prediction you know when you know little or nothing about most teams and we all put our own opinions? And i dont know if you noticed but everyone else isnt putting 'How Will franklin Rebels do For the Rest Of the Year Topics', in Coacht you go game to game. You must have no life if you seriously look took time to write 3 paragraphs of saying the same thing over and over and copy and look at what i wrote in Feburary. Why dont you call up Lou Holtz and call him an idiot for predicting Notre Dame for going to the NC, which they lost to Michigan. Oh wait your a Notre Dame fan.....
  16. And i love how you switched your location from INDY NATION to NASHVILLE lol freshmen.
  17. What plays? MBA ran every time cause the passing game was shut down. It doesn't take experience to hand the ball off. I know pee-wee players who can do that just as well. Don't even sit there and tell me that MBA's backup doesn't have the experience, thats bogus. I dont want to hear excuses for a loss. I knew as soon as INDY pulled the win people would say it was only because of the QB. Thats grade A bullcrap. INDY played their hearts out all game and finally finished through the 4th quarter. Thats fact. Oh wow you must of not read my whole post, 'fonzii'. Im excited that they won, i was there, i go there. Be realistic though. They would of been able to strech out the offense if they had a quarter back who could throw, thats how MBA runs their offense; to strech the other teams defense. Let me repeat myself im not taking anything away from Independence they played a heck of a game, i go there, im a senior i stand in front, but i try to stay non-biased as i can be (Noticed how i called Brett 'DJ Meek'?)
  18. True those penalties kill. Centennial is fast but Independence's secondary is pretty fast as well, plus the front line did a great job against disrupting the quarterback last game. Stay heathly, stay consistent, stay strong and Indy will walk out of Centennial 3-2. Independence 28 Centennial 16
  19. Oh wow let me start by saying A) This is a stupid topic B) Go one game at a time C) How ould you predict the LaVergne game when you dont know anything about them, they gave Brentwood a run for their money like Indy did (Not saying Indy wont win im just pointing out you picked them cause of they always stink and you didnt put why) D) Franklin hasnt played anyone, is unproven and only scored 3 against Ooltewah. That game was their toughest non-district game and they lost didnt get a td, their a lousy 3-1 team. AND A HUGE E COULMBIA? Really? They couldnt beat us last year! Or our first year in varsity, need i remind you they have never beaten us, or the fact they stayed in the 5A class. You gotta be kidding me this thing made me laugh, it was cute.
  20. OHHHHH I YARE. Nope, sorry but it wouldn't have been different at all. Its not even like they could get their passing game anywhere in the first place. Every-time he dropped back in the pocket every man was covered down field. Nothing the QB could have done. INDY also demolished the run for the most part. My only concern is special teams but I was reassured when LANDON FOSTER (#14) kicked the field goal to win it. He's a sophomore. I would like to have seen MBA's missed extra point on Sportscenter's Not Top 10 Plays of the Week. Looks like MBA needs a clutch kicker and he definitely wasn't there last night. Maybe next year MBA. Oh wow, yea this guy is probably a stupid freshmen. Nope sorry it wouldnt have been different? Any team who has lost their starting quarter back who knows all the plays, most likely the more exprienced one on the team, and the game changer for anyteam.... That changes a game. On a different ranting note, Thanks again Tennessean for giving us some great detail on the game. They put that the score was 23-14, they said in a small description that Alex Heckman ran for two touchdowns and threw for one as well... He did run for two but the third touchdown was from DJ Meek (Brett Meeker), even though they said that DJ Meek ran for the td in the box score... Oh and in the front page of the sports they put in the small description of the Brentwood and Oakland game " Third-ranked Oakland stays unbeaten with a 27-7 victory..." even though they lost to ensworth earlier this year. fail... On a lighter note about Indy, first win against a private school team. Plus no other team in District 11 has played tougher against their oppentents than Indy. After going 2-2 through the hardest part of their schedule and what Coach Eubanks saying we havent even reached our potential, the only speed bumb that could stop Indy from winning the rest of their game is Franklin who when they finally played a good team they only put up 3 points. This is only the beginning...
  21. Could you give some more info on how the starting qb who is out for the season? (like name? who? and the injury?) This game could totally jump start their confidence for the rest of the season for the Eagles if they can pull out a win; at home, and has never beaten a MBA before let alone any other private school.
  22. The whole williamson a.m. has only 5 people on staff thats why they switched to printing on mondays, wednsdays, and fridays. And i totally agree with the statement about lack of noticement of indy. The season is still young, MBA next week at home then at Centennial the week after.
