  1. Ok first quote you contradicted yourself; its not about the past but what you have done for me lately? Lately means recently happen in the past.. Well if its not about the past why is oakland ranked so high? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Think before you act stupid. And as for the second line up there, what the heck does that mean?
  2. Exactly, your comparing college ball and high school ball. Two totally different stages.
  3. Actually on ESPN 50 states tour on college football live i think Maryville was listed as the top high school program. When anybody wins like Maryville did those last couple of years they have to be a top team in state no matter what calss your in, no matter how small or big your school is.
  4. Are they really that bad? If Coulmbia Central over Indepedence. In 4 meetings coulmbia central has never beaten Indy, plus this years meeting is Indys homecoming.
  5. There is nothing to say i stated my opinion and i didnt want to be in another pointless arguement where neither of us know what we are talking about.
  6. Agreed. Maryville vs. Smyrna in 2006 and 2007 would of been very interesting /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  7. So who does WaCo JaCo think is in the top ten?
  8. Agreed, i would pick the Trojans over Oak Ridge and Farragut. I dont remember which thread it was but a fan of Maryville said this year was the wrong year for the Rebels to switch from 4A to 6A. But then again it is the preason rankings.
  9. Nice, great to hear Broc Loveless, their QB, doing well.
  10. Warriors as in Riverdale right? Wow, is it just me or is District 7-AAA seem like a tossup? LaVernge came in third in the MTSU 7 v. 7, and as you said Riverdale did pretty well in WKU. And how did the rest of the teams from TN do? I knew Smyrna, Ravenwood, and Indy was there but, to the Oak Ridge guy talking about his newspaper, the Tennessean isnt so great in giving information.
  11. Hmm, why is chs always in the cellar? Where to start; last year was your first year in the playoff since 2003, 8-4 was chs's best season record (which was last year), chs has never beaten Franklin or Brentwood, and chs has never made it past the 2nd round in the playoffs. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Franklin: Returns both Keyo lee and Alex Ford/ Returned a good amount of lettermen on D Brentwood: I sorta agree with your statement, but came 1st in MTSU passing tourny, bhs always rebuild fast. Ravenwood: True, on the deffensive side of the ball. Loaded on offense. Indy: Does mess mean this? Returning; 3rd year starting QB,four Starters on O-Line (two play d-line too), two Starters on D-Line (not the two who played o-line), S/WR/KR/K Ty Stannard (72 total takles last year/ led with 51 solo's), hiring a new great deff. cord, and adding a new offensive scheme that doesnt involve passing 99.9% of the time. Hillsboro: Only statement i truely agree with. Besides its not like Rutherford Co. schools dont have the same problem with starters graduating (Oakland), rebuilding (Riverdale), and new head coach (Blackman). The favorite to win that Rutherford Co. district is of course Smyrna. Ive been looking at the smyrna thread and they have a great balance of returning lettermen, plus a division 1 prospect, junior RB J. Bryson who started midway through his freshman year. LaVergne looks like a good surprise team from that county as well.
  12. Man i would love to see Broc succeed because i know him very well off the football field. I think i have watched one game of his and he did pretty good as i recall. I wish Broc and the Raiders the best next season.
  13. True that. Teams to beat i think are Oakland, Maryville, Millington, Franklin, and Farragut. But Brentwood in top 5? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Millington and Maryville are always tough teams to beat, but i dont know of them well enough to tell who is in the top 5 or 10. Although the top 20 fan poll, for Class AAA Div. 1, on coachT says Maryville is preseason #1, followed by #2 Oakland, #3 Hillsboro, #4 Franklin, #5 Ooltewah, #6 Farragut, #7 Smyrna (Darkhouse Favorite from Mid TN), #8 Brentwood, #9 Henry County, and #10 White Station.
  14. Bruins beat Burros, LaVergne came in 3rd, this according to Tennessean.
  15. Hey i just want to say good luck over there and thank you for what your doing for our country. Who knows maybe you'll come back to see another 3rd round game vs. Indy. Again thank you and God bless
  16. Yeah, Ravenwood could suffer a down season like Indy did last year. This will only happen if their deffense cant stop the other teams offense, like Franklins exprienced running attack, from scoring. But there is no question that the Raptors can score at any time.
  17. Yea plus i didnt mean to say wild card for each district i ment class /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> But thanks for clearing that T$$AA mess up for me. Ok yea it is hard for a team to keep coming back with good players after such a great season. May i remind you that just because they are new to the class and for these teams, doesnt mean anything, they got sent up a class for a reason. Just about anyteam can win this District.
  18. Im going to agree with slighlty Burro Ball on this one, but Ravenwood and Independence will be stronger than most people will think. And to Striker86, wow im surprised but not convinced, Centennial 3rd? How? How do they out compete Hillboro who, in the year before, defeated a top 5 in the nation at state. When the year before didnt even come close to beating Brentwood in the playoffs. And if centennial was going to be 3rd in district and higher than Hillsboro, which is not going to happen, they wouldnt be a wild card team to get in, they would get in by default. You must not know that Hillsboro and Centennial are in 5A ranking not 6A like the rest of the district. Sure Centennial surprised us all last year, but look at who they lost; Chaz Scales a mini Michael Vick who ran the whole offense, Drew Kelley who would intimidate anyone as TE and a DE, and Raymond Jackson fast as heck running back and could run down anyone on defense. Yes Centennial had a great team last year, but no they wont go to the playoffs this year. 1. Franklin-(6A Playoff Bid) 2. Hillsboro-(5A Playoff Bid) 3. Brentwood-(Dont know who will do better) 3. Independence-(Dont know who will do better) 5. Ravenwood 6. Centennial-(Where they belong) Whoever gets third place will win 2nd playoff bid for 6A. I believe there is one wild bid for each district. And the wild card is voted by overall/district record, then attendence, and then stadium revenue. Thanks a lot T$$AA. Thats the last time i predict anything for this district ive seen two other topics just like this, now i just want to kick back and wait till this next season starts. 48 Days and counting till week 0 baby!
  19. Well the 'lovely' tennessean, exaggeratingly saying, strikes again. Mr. Hammonds has been a football coach/STARS consulor since last school year. Way to go Tennessean you never dissapoint /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  20. He went to WKU but he is not on their roster online.
  21. Oh yeah no doubt Issac could of been signed by a much better D1 school, or at least caught some more passes.
  22. Well with the basketball coach being fired that leaves a spot for P.E open but i would not be surprised if he takes one of the open spots for teaching geometry. It is always a good exprience having a former nfl player as a coach, hopefully this will help out the wide recievers be just as good as the wr in 2007. Who knows, maybe Indy will off pull their own 'music city miracle' but hopefully Indy wont be one yard short of a game winning td either. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />
  23. No doubt and even though Rocky Calmus was never a pro bowl type nfl linebacker, at least he started and did pretty well. Those young linebackers from Ravenwood will learn a lot from him. Great addition to coaching staff.
  24. Wow tough scrimmage /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
