  1. Trevor Howater will be a senior from Walker Valley- Could be a contender if he gets busy- Running out of time- Literally!!!
  2. Cherokee Chief- I haven't seen a schedule thus far, but I will ask- I am curious to know! A league meet sounds interesting- do you have a good place for it? R U Going to the Fireball Classic tommorrow evening? If you are- we will C you there.
  3. I know what you mean- all the inactivity could be a good thing though. maybe it means there is more summer training going on and less time to talk! I can't wait for the first race of the season and the LAST! Go BCHS!
  4. Well, seeing how Mcminn is so well trained by this GREAT Coach they have, I am sure they will be well prepared as always, and a contender for the championship:)........................other than that, BCHS is primed and ready to go as well, alot of serious training going on this summer. (So, how have you been doing Cherokee Chief? Keeping those Indians in order?) I guess Farragutt, and Houston as always will fare pretty well- I am such an avid follower you know-(HAHA) This board needs some action- always so dead on here! Thanx for the post!
  5. 4X800- Region 3(or is it 4?) First place went to Mcminn Co.- and 2nd to Tullahoma(8:30)- and Bradley Central(8:32) got 3rd! Good Job BC- Better luck next year! What an improvment! Way to go for it!
  6. LUV2WIN-------- ----------That is hillarious! Sad, but true! But their working on it! Its getting better!
  7. Alot of very competitive long jumpers and triple jumpers. 3 Pole Vaulters all from BC- top one clearing 12'6- The Long Jumpers are in the 20- 21' area on avg. sometimes better!
  8. Although Tn Track Stats is a very nice and informative website, I dont think ALL Stats have been recorded- There are definitely some names missing that have equally low times! Besides if you take off the couple of private school names and add a couple of more- the list will change again- as far as who will qualify for AAA anyways. Good Luck to all- and YES Michael Wright did look awesome at Best of Preps! Robison was in that race too- he was in 2nd til the last hurdle- he stumbled and ended up getting 4th................I think?
  9. Hicks from Mcminn is a BIG Contender! But I have seen 3 1:56's this year!
  10. Shane Lowe from Bradley Central should definitely be in the top 8 from Tennessee in the 100m hurdles and probably his brother Shon too! Jerome Robison from BC has a really good shot in the 300 hurdles, along with the Lowes brothers! !
  11. What does Tullahoma's 4x800 guys run?
  12. It doesnt matter where you go as far as the "Next Level" goes! Look at all the local High schools and think about who got what- AA or AAA it doesn't really matter! You got 2 going to Lee and Weslyan from AA and one going to Hiwasee from AAA! Its all about the same! I say GO where you'll be happy!
  13. Alyson Butler from Walker Valley! Very versatile, thinks good, and has the height advantage from the outside!
  14. Hey- If you want to get better over the summer- then DEFINITELY do cross country- it would tremendously help in your endurance for the 400m in the spring- and distance work is a great base for the 400. Best strategy is don't go out to fast and die on the final curve like alot of runners do- try to do even splits at the 200- like for instance if you run a 56- try a 28sec. 200m and finish the final 200m in 28!Nice and steady pace is always better! As far as competitive times in the 400 and the 200 in high school meets- I guess it depends on how far you want to go, and how competitive your area is. In our local meets 52-53 is pretty competitive in the 400- but you would have to go down around 49ish to compete on a regional or state level- maybe even lower! The 200 is around low 23's to 22- for local. As far as any good summer teams that depends on what area you live in! Let me know and tell you what I know!
  15. Go Brandi, Go Brandi, Go Go Go Brandi!!!!!
  16. I am assuming this is just middle Tennessee? Is this sort of equivelant to the Best of Preps in the Chattanooga Area?Just wondering????
  17. This doesnt pertain to track and field, but during the basketball season a Coach here in Cleveland at one of our local schools was quoted in the local paper after a disappointing loss as saying "My girls might have been outplayed, but I was NEVER outcoached".............what kind of Coach would say something like that? Cracks me up-
  18. I dont despise Mcminn Central and they are a truly great program! Some people might despise them, but if they do- I havent heard of it. Even people that get beat by them seem to feel they really deserve it. The girls are just a good bunch- and the Coach is great too- well Meigs might despise them- LOL!Matter of fact- after the regional tournament- I KNOW meigs despises them. But still they are the least despised GREAT program in the area!
  19. C ya there- what events are you doing?
  20. We ran you guys- and you have one great 400m runner- if I remember correctly- and a pretty descent distant runner! I dont remember alot about the girls!
  21. I think there is already a thread like this posted earlier with all these players listed???
  22. He was our 5th man this past season in Cross Country- He did get MVP honors in the track meet this past weekend. I guess I wasn't thinking straight- My apologies to Mr. LOWE! I guess I think of him as a hurdler instead of cross country runner- but he has the talent to do it all! I hope AdamBCHS can step it up and fill those shoes this coming cross country season! I know you have the potentioal too! [Edited by peacemaker on 4-7-03 7:13P]
  23. Bradley Central placed a respectable 5th this past season- with only one runner leaving. They should be a contender- top 3!
  24. Got any individual results? Boys Mile or 800 in particular? How about 4X800 relay team?
