I told you boys what I’m willing to wager. The trip to the Top of the Rock with Coach Grider and the family occurred after they had officially enrolled that morning. This isn’t a poker face either. Do I have any takers? Deed to a house, car title, anything?

Yes, #11’s mom was the waitress that day. Coach Grider thought it was funny how a player’s mom, and half of their coaching staff really thought he was that dumb. The statement about “Vic’s teeth almost fell out of his mouth when I saw him and “we caught him red handed” is funny as well. Again, please make sure this complaint and photo of them eating are turned in to the TSSAA in high definition quality. Once that’s down just get your popcorn ready.

Like I said earlier I’ve got the deed to my house and titles to my cars that says both of you are 100% wrong. How dumb do you think we are? Someone really thinks he’s dumb enough to illegally take kids to eat at a restaurant in Marion County where he already knows Coach Mathis lives and he could be seen. Really? lol... We know how other coaches showed up as well and then pictures were taken. As a matter of fact the mom of one of Jasper’s players was the waitress that day. I sure hope it’s true that Jasper turned SP in for it. Hopefully the picture that was taken has a time stamp on it as well. Once the TSSAA checks what time the Hunter brothers we’re enrolled in SPHS that morning people in Jasper are going to look foolish in a monumental way. BTW you better hope he doesn’t turn the tables on Jasper. You guys have a great weekend.

I understand y’all are tired of dealing with Roy and Old Pirate. Which as you know are two of our knuckleheads. However this talk about the family that moved here over Christmas break just isn’t true. I’m not sure anyone mentioned it but they do have a sister that is a senior that just signed with Roane State in basketball. The timing of someone leaving a school half way through their senior year should tell you it isn’t always about football. I’m glad they are Pirates though. Y’all have a great weekend.

I guess Jasper has to be able to get some type of dig in at us these days. Well played my friend. My Turn... I feel confident you boys can get a first down before the fourth quarter on us in 2020. You do have one thing going for you. The game in 2020 is at Beene Stadium. The last two trips to Jasper has resulted in the warriors being put in the half a hundred club.

Recruits? I will have some of what that guy is having. We didn’t recruit anyone. Good grief.. The guys Greenback ended up with helped put them over the top in 2019. The 26-27 kids comment included kids covering kickoffs and playing on the extra point team. smh

He is talking about Whitwell getting a new coach. Maybe Ross will go there. I can tell you where he won’t be for sure. lol

The SP guys knew more than Jasper folks on this search. Didn’t you hear? We did the interviewing. Again, he is a class act. They are getting a good coach and good man.

This is almost official. The new hire will definitely have a TN connection. Jasper folks will even have to pull for the Vols. Good coach and a great man you’re getting.

If they hire Ross I can guarantee we will have a generator nearby to make sure the lights and home side of the scoreboard stay working.

Baring a last minute change of heart, the new coach has Alabama roots.

Our kids will come in and give it everything they have on Friday. Win or lose we will shake hands after the game and know that the kids layed it all on the line for our team. That’s just the only way we know how to do things here. Also prayers today for my buddy Pirate Mike. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with family!

You must be talking about the kid that came from Jasper? Yea he suffered a horrific knee injury and missed his entire junior season. So there’s that... He wanted to finish where he started so he and his younger sister returned home to SP where he attended school from PreK-6th grade and his mom has taught for over 20 years. Great kid and family.

I do please name them.

This SP team is a true TEAM. We have a tough bunch of kids that have played together since they were 5-6 years old. We will be just fine.

A lot of stuff said here is unfortunate. A few things though I can promise from SP! We respect our opponents, but we’re never scared of them. We don’t need to fabricate anything. We don’t need any motivation to play this game. Our kids will come prepared and ready to play. Win lose or draw we will lay it all on the line and won’t make excuses. That’s what a program like ours does. Let’s roll!

That’s not accurate. The question was asked to Gordonsville about moving it. It was initially agreed upon to move it. The TSSAA was notified about the plans. It was approved to be moved. It was then posted after the agreement was made between schools. Within an hour Gordonsville called back and said they couldn’t move it because of busing. Those are the facts. Thanks

There wasn’t any letter sent from SPHS. If a letter was sent it was from a fan or fans.

Yes sir I remember him well. He got hurt against us in the first round playoffs. That’s the only reason we won the game. I’ve seen the QBs at Lake and Huntingdon several times as well. All are great players but Carnes has an ability that isn’t seen often in 1A. You guys have a terrific afternoon.

I don’t post on here much but he’s the best I’ve seen in several years and one of the best I’ve ever seen at this level and I’ve seen a lot. He’s in the category of Reese Phillips that played at Signal. Plain and simple the kid was robbed.

Congrats to Ronto for making the Semifinalist. Carnes was robbed. Plain and simple. He’s one of the top 3-4 players in 1A. The kid had over 3000 passing yards and around 40 TDs.
