OK. I admit it. I'm Whining. But i see, what seems to me, to be some glaring oversights... or lack of coach's marketing, or more than likely, bias and/or lack of knowledge/coverage by certain areas sportswriters. My point... (and please, I admit my bias toward Middle Tn. players and lack of knowledge in other areas) but... Class AAA - only one player from Beech. None from Wilson Central. Tons from Riverdale. AA - Unicoi 3 players. Goodpasture two. Seems like the most balanced picks. A - where are the twins from Cornersville? DII A - Tons from GPS, St. B which seems right. Ryan 3?. JPII 3? (and yes, I know, they are all very good players!) AA is lumped in with the others and has just 2 total players. One from SBEC and one from Davidson Ac. who won back to back State titles. Why didn't AA get their own list? No respect? As "statman" says ... it must be a league full of Dangefields! All other classes have multiple players from the State Championship team except DII - AA 'Nuff whinin' They are the Writers and it's their list. I guess if I'm gonna keep whining so much I should get my own list!

Only one D II player... and she's a great one! Perhaps D II should be put in with A/AA considering size of school and number of students. ... and as you say, getting more D II schools to join!

In response to your summary here: D IIA - Davidson Academy: I think you and the Tennessean gave them some incentive when they were picked to be second. Graduate a lot of seniors. Could be tough next year. D IIAA - GPS: I think the mighty seniors will be missed. They didn't seem to be quite as dominant as in the past D IA - Does TC have much to go with Ellen? I think Forrest will be playin' to prove somethin! AA - How do you replace a Kelsie Cartwright? Not to mention MB and Tiff. I'm sure they'll think of something. Can Unicoi repeat? AAA - Kat is very resilient. Fantastic young lady! She would be the first to tell you that it's not all about her. Beech will have a strong supporting cast. Riverdale or Siegel?? Which one returns the most? Thanks again for your posts. I'm just not ready for this all to be over!

Any news on DII - A & AA? I think Middle/East is: AA - Ryan at JPII today A- Davidson Academy -#1 St. Andrews-Sewannee - #2 What about West? ... and others ??

Well another week has gone by and some of the picks are starting to shine! A few busts though.. With all the rain it's hard to tell who is finished and what games still need to be played, but from what I can tell so far: "IntheShadow" is Chief Prognosticator so far with his picks. St. Benny, SBEC, Brighton, Bolton, Trinity, and Huntingdon all appear to have taken care of business! What happened to Munford & Millington? Crazeedave latched on to the favorite, Unicoi, from the East. (also Mr.NoitAll's favorite) They blasted your other pick (Elizabethton) 16-0? I saw where Grainger and Pig. Forge won early and can't find any more scores! And what happened to Gibbs?? Anyone care to update your picks?? It should be easier now! After learning about them a week or so ago, I can tell you this... I am now CORNERSVILLE's newest and biggest fan!! p.s.- how did that stupid add get on my post??

I am going to go ahead and tell you that the west will bring home 2 trophies this year, TCA and SBEC. westTN, I've seen TCA but don't know much about SBEC. What can you tell me about them? D II right? ... you may want to answer on the "Best of the West" thread and leave this one for "SMACK"

Thanks for the reply! I saw Gibbs early this year and they did not strike me as "the same" Gibbs of the last few years so it's good to hear that they may be peaking at the right time. I don't know anything about Unicoi, but to hear "MrNoIt All" tell it , they are the real deal!

THANK YOU "SHADOW"!! That's exactly what I was lookin' for! I've seen St. Ben., Trinity,Houston, Camden, and Collierville this year and was impressed by most. I can now watch for the others and see how it plays out. Thanks!

I feel so sheltered here in the middle region. Rarely do we see reports from the "Best of the West" or "Beasts from the East". C'mon West! Give it up East! Someone get it started! If you think your team is headed to the 'Boro, shout it out! Both Divisions, All Classes! Caution:(some proof required!) I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE! WHY SO QUIET?

Is JPII the host? All I ever hear is "GPS" and "St. Benedict". Are JPII and Ryan the favorites out of the Middle Region?
