How about getting the best up an coming coach in your county from Gatlinburg Pittman? Any boosters at Seymour? Would he not rather coach in a district with Morristowns and Cocke County then AE.Carter,Union, and Fulton?

Don't like the Marsh guy from Alcoa. Union County coach was up for the CAK job. I think he is staying put. Good team coming back. As for other three guys: Buell??? Placeres coach against us and I believe he has a good future ahead of him and Nelson heard of him but can't give an opinion

We as parents and grandparents didn't see anything of that sort. Well played game and they won. You must know something we don't. They were all very cordial and saw his interaction with our Coach, Mr.Combs didn't see anything wrong.His kids love playing for him and Coach McBee and Combs have nothing but good things to say. You must be a parent who is upset at the fact they beat you. We all don't have to agree but I think he carries himself in a very good way.

If they want a young energetic coach to replace Coach Wells look no further than the young man from Gatlinburg Pittman Raul Placeres or Micah Marsh from Alcoa. Both of these coaches have done good jobs at their schools and played the game at the college level. Wendell will stay at Seymour due to the fact he will not face AE or Fulton anymore. Has good chance to compete in new district.

Young man from Gatlinburg Pittman has done a darn good job. Tied for 1st in the district in his first year and then played in the district championship this past year. Took over a program that was rich in tradition in the late 90's and early 2000's led by Ken Wright (now at Sevier County) but had only won about 20 games from 2002-2006. CoachT information states they have been 15-10 and 17- 10 in his first two seasons. How old is this young coach?

I agree. Watched Skylar the past 3 years and what a player. He can do it all! Everyone says he didn't have a team and that is absurd. He made his teammates better. All this talk about he wouldn't do that somewhere else guess what he would not have to do as much making his game even more efficient!! The kid is a steal for any of those schools.

I don't know if he would leave but from what I have seen the past two seasons at GP he can turn a program around. "Boxn1"Didn't they finish tied for 1st in the District last year and lost their best player to an injury at the start of the district tournament if not would have played in a district championship? They also made it to the championship this year, they beat us in the semi-finals with average talent team. Boxn1 they had those two bigs inside but guards were average at best!! Not better than Union,Cumberland Gap, or Claiborne and definitely not better than us. No one was better than McBee, his post player was a wash with Humph and Framer was better than any wing they had.

Next year will be a real test for him." In response to that comment, you are giving too much credit to it being a senior leaden team. The young man took on a program who had been in the dumps. Gatlinburg Pittman had not been to the regional playoffs in awhile from what I understand and they have gone in back to back seasons. District 2AA was pretty competitive this year with Union,Grainger,and Claiborne. I agree that next year will be a definite test but don't agree with the fact that he had the best talent 1-7 in the district.Had two good post players and an adequate wing. Most of those seniors were average at best. He beat us on the biggest stage!! We beat them twice in regular season by a couple of points but they managed to beat us on our home floor to go to the District Championship? When was the last time they did that?

I believe he will end up at Santa Clara. That is what the boys are saying.

You should not be scared. Seen him coach since he started at Pigeon Forge. Does a great job. If Oakland has talent which I know they have had in the past there is no doubt that he will win 20 games and make it to Regions.

My grandson plays for Rutledge. He said that all his players love playing for him. Is it true he played in the Rocky Top league with all the UT players? I over heard Skylar saying that before we played them one time.
