  1. Yes they do. By the way, Farragut will be back. Everyone has a rebuilding year at some point. Congrats to Maryville on a game well played.
  2. Bearden High School 1 LaVergne High School 2 Riverdale High School 3 Clarksville High School 4 Farragut High School 5 White Station HS 6 Centennial High School 7 Brentwood High School 8 Ravenwood High School 9 Houston High School 10 Dobyns-Bennett High School 11
  3. Looking good for a rebuilding year. I think they will compete, as always. However, I am afraid the top two in the DOD this year will be Bearden and Maryville due to a number of talented seniors on both teams. Don't count out West either. They have some very talented seniors as well. Good luck to all of the teams!
  4. For more clarification, I was not attacking Farragut. I have been a Farragut fan for years. I was trying to point out that there are a lot of talented teams besides the ones listed in the FAB 50. The teams I mentioned are all loaded with strong upperclassmen, and I think they will all have great seasons. It would not surprise me to see some or all of them at the state tournament. Good luck to all.
  5. I would also add Maryville, Knox West, Chattanooga Christian and McCallie.
  6. Farragut does lose a bunch of seniors. However, Bearden and Farragut both have quality players returning. Maryville has several strong juniors (rising seniors) as does Knox West. Knox Catholic is always competitive. Overall, the district of death should be very competitive next year. It would not surprise me if there are several teams with the same record going into the district tournament.
  7. Sounds like they will both be contenders next year.
  8. Perhaps it's too early, but: AAA next year it should be wide open. Perhaps some early favorites from the east would be Maryville, Bearden, and of course Farragut. Not sure about middle or west TN although I have been told that both Lavergne and Riverdale have a lot of returning starters. Would need confirmation about those teams. Brentwood and Hendersonville are always strong. I think Ravenwood also has several good returning players. Don't know much about the west. In AA/A, CCS and CAK both have a lot of tremendous returning players, so they should both be very strong. I think Alcoa could be in the same boat. Not sure about Boyd. I think they were loaded with seniors. Don't know much about middle or west TN. On the private side, I think McCallie will be strong again next year. I am pretty sure that two of their best players were underclassmen. Perhaps next year they will win it all. Any other thoughts from the rest of the state?
  9. Should be a great game on Friday. It will be interesting to see how both teams control their emotions and try to keep their focus after huge semifinal wins. Hendersonville seems to be peaking at the right time and they are definitely full of confidence right now. I think they may ride that emotion to a state championship. They are clearly the favorite, but that places a little more pressure on them to win since no one seems to be giving Centennial much of a chance. I personally think the team that scores first will win the game. Good luck to both teams!
  10. Congrats to Centennial. Farragut you have nothing to be ashamed of, you still had a great season. OK Bearden, it is up to you to bring the trophy back to East TN. Good luck Bulldogs!
  11. Siegel: I have some clean Louisiana Bayou property for sale. Given your pick in the finals, I thought you might be interested!
  12. I guess it all depends on your perspective. As a Farragut fan, what I remember seeing was the Hendersonville players arguing a call and the Farragut players taking advantage of the situation. No offsides, just a great play by Farragut on the quick restart. Perhaps we will get to see a rematch this year.
  13. Last year a lot of Hendersonville fans were upset when they were placed in the same side of the bracket with Farragut, Cleveland and Kingsbury. This year it looks like Hendersonville caught a break. Not only did they "draw" Riverdale in the first round, they are on the opposite side of the bracket from Farragut.
  14. Here are the final 8 teams in AAA: Farragut Bearden Centennial Hendersonville Riverdale Lavergne White Station Collierville I believe TSSAA rules will place both Farragut and Bearden and Riverdale and Lavergne in opposite sides of the bracket since these teams were in the same district. Although there is supposedly a "blind draw" I have never seen teams from the same part of the state play each other in the first round. For example, White Station and Collierville or Centennial and Hendersonville in the first round. Does anyone know if there is another rule that would actually prohibit teams from the same region from playing in the first round? If there is such a rule, then you could almost figure out the bracket by process of elimmination before the draw, and it could look something like this: Group 1 Farragut Hendersonville White Station Riverdale 1st Round Games: Farragut vs. Riverdale Hendersonville vs. White Station Group 2: Bearden Centennial Collierville Lavergne 1st Round Games: Bearden vs. Lavergne Centennial vs. Collierville
  15. Sub state winners: Farragut Bearden Riverdale Lavergne Hendersonville Centennial Cordova (in somewhat of an upset-Collierville seems to be struggling) White Station
  16. Thursday Winners will be: Dobyns-Bennett (In OT) Farragut Cookeville Riverdale (PK shootout) Hendersonville (In OT) Centennial Arlington White Station
  17. Wonder if admiral2010 was a senoir this year at Oak Ridge. If so, his keyboarding teacher may be looking for a job.
  18. Something fishy going on....... first time posters jones123 and admiral2010 make it sound like they are Farragut's players or fans and are acting cocky, overconfident and full of themselves........ I think I have seen this strategy on Coach T before......... pretend to be some other school and engage in trash talking to try and create some bulletin board material for your own team............ Farragut, stick to the game on the field and you will do well. Leave the trash talking to your last opponent or, ..... perhaps your next. Go admirals!
  19. Here we go again....... CAK is getting better with every game, and peaking at the right time. But, Alcoa always makes this a great matchup. Should be another classic. I'll take CAK by a goal, in overtime.
  20. Will it be another win for Farragut? Or will the third time be the charm for the Bulldogs?
  21. DB is # 5 this week. Also, their record is listed as 19-0-1. Very Impressive record. I think we will find out if they are for real when they play on Saturday in the sectionals.
  22. I think Bearden will probably win in a close one. All I was saying was I have been very impressed with Hardin Valley and if I were Bearden I would not overlook them. The Bearden fans seem to think that Farragut Round #3 is a lock. I am not so certain. Good luck to both teams.
