This game was almost a carbon copy of Beech’s week one game against Farragut: very sloppy offensive performance, multiple fumbles, busted plays, penalties. The Bucs have to get better on O. Both Soph QB’s and the entire new O line need to start getting better. Both qb’s had some good moments but then both looked like sophomores at times. I would put the Bucs’ three headed receiving Corp up against anyone in the state. (Can’t believe I just said that) Defense put in another strong performance carrying a shutout into the last few minutes of the game. Still lots of work to do.

I’ve not heard of any for Beech.

20-7 Bucs. Beech offense really struggled most of the game but the D stepped up and played well. Two td’s called back, 3 TO’s. Hats off to the Farragut D. Lots to work on for the Bucs.

Both high school football guru’s at the Tennessean are picking Farragut.

That’s a pretty good take on Beech. Looking forward to seeing Hanks (MLB) and Hill (TB) back in the lineup for the first time in a while. O line is totally new this year so that will be a work in progress.

Beech has played Summit home and away. I’ve never seen anything but class from them.

I hurt some Oak Ridge and Henry Co feelings when I said Summit had an easy path to a gold ball after beating Beech in the quarters. Turns out it was true. Summit won the state at Shackle Island Stadium on Nov 20 when they scored with 27 seconds left to beat my Bucs. Their semi and final games were cake walks. Turns out my comment wasn’t so “dumb” and I wasn’t talking out of my “you know what” after all. Congratulations to the Spartans on a great year. Nice to have the 5A gold ball back in middle TN.

Beech does play Summit next year in the regular season.

Interesting that the bad blood is getting started early between MJ and HC. These two could easily play in this game next year.

Turns out hanging 50 on Kenwood and Clarksville Northwest doesn’t make you a great team....who knew?

Summit’s QB is the best team Beech has played all year.....by a lot. Congratulations to the Spartans. It looks like you have a pretty easy path to a gold ball.

Don’t think Beech is going to “out athlete” anyone from here on out.

Hats off to the Commandos for keeping the game this close with so many out. Looking forward to the Beech/HHS game meaning even more next year once we’re back in the same region.

It could’ve been 2 or three TD’s worse without a few drops. Great performance by Beech’s D. They really swarmed to the ball. As for Hillsboro, they must’ve had 20 penalties for triple digit yards. Horrible coaching. They looked in disarray all night.

I can honestly say I’ve never heard the word finesse used in describing Hendersonville football.

Nice win for the Bucs. Offense looked a bit rusty from 2 weeks of no football activity. Defense played really well once again. I wish Beech could've lined up a game this week (bye week) against good competition. They could certainly use the work.

They can’t even stand outside the fence and watch. They stopped the game Friday night at PC so metro PD could run off folks trying to watch from the street.

Beech beat HC 21-14. It was, in my opinion, Beech's best performance of the year. I think Powell is really good (qb is impressive, receivers are very dangerous), but was unimpressed with their D and have seen better kicking games from a middle school team. I don't think you can hand them the gold ball just yet. The real question mark for Beech will be how does the 2 wk covid layoff affect them. All the bumps and bruises will heal and they will be fresh for the stretch run, but this young team could've used those two game to get better. Time will tell.
